Love this store! I love getting to try foods from other countries. Most of the products arent in English so its a shopping adventure. The staff and other patrons are very helpful answering questions. The deli has great food too.

They don’t offer their fresh deli menu anymore so we ended up buying snacks instead. They sell a wide variety of European foods, definitely worth checking out.

Excellent selection of sweets, teas, pastas, meats, cheeses, preserves and drinks. Its the first place Ive seen kvas since a visit to Kyiv a couple years ago. They also have what appeared to be a small lending library near the door.

Watch out Benjis! If youre looking for a delicious pastry-like dessert, thats not too sweet, the sweet cherry pastry is absolutely delicious! Tart cherry in an ever so slightly sweet, perfectly baked, soft dough... To die for! & theres drinks from all over the world & all kinds of candies & confections, pickled veggies, jarred jams! So much stuff!

If youre looking for Russian food, this is the place! Delicious meats and cheeses from all across Europe. Fresh bread, salads, soups, and desserts! I grew up in NYC and this place is like a little piece of Brighton Beach (a Russian/Eastern European Neighborhood) far up North. Very Kind staff who speak Russian and English. Seriously, their food is SOOOO GOOOOD!!! Reasonable prices too!

Went here hoping to pick up some goods that reminded me of home. Excellent selection. However, we stood around at the checkout counter for ten minutes and no one was around. We could hear the employees laughing and chatting in the back, but no one was around on the floor, or deli. Eventually my husband and I gave up and just left without buying anything.

Excellent food types canned and dried. For sure Ill be coming back. Yummy drinks cheese and all!

I enjoy cabbage rolls as long as I dont have to make them and even though theres our expensive they are well worth what I pay for them. I like the Ukrainian candies. Their tea selection is extensive. Their meats are excellent and they have a good selection of the foods that I buy. I really like Kvass and they carry the good brands. One night I actually took a can of cavas poured it over a roast in my crock pot let it cook for a while and then added my vegetables. Just gave an amazing taste to the meat and the vegetables. Oh and they also have freshly made breads that are good I like the poppy seed one the best. I feel like Im visiting Europe every time I go there

We are incredibly lucky to have this establishment in Anchorage. They have a wonderful selection of freshly cooked items available- delicious baked breads, absolutely delectable borscht and pierogi that is out of this world. They also have a great grocery section and serve outstanding customer service. Will continue to come again and again.

I love it! Nice assortment of all classic foods. Great candy selection, huge meats assortment considering it is a small store. Prices are reasonable and shelves seem well stocked. I am very happy I found this place.

Wow. This is the real thing. Their dumplings / pelmeni are unbelievably good, served with a sour cream-like sauce and cabbage. We didnt try the borscht but will do it next time.

Isle of the store. the owners are friendly the staff is friendly theres always something for everyone you can find anything you want. theres cheese theres meats in the deli thats fresh. Theres candy for kids a from Europe. Theres juices drinks sodas. Its all really good I found halva, Very exciting. For Christmas they gave all the kids gifts at check out. Theyre so sweet and family oriented. I would suggest it to anyone who wanted any European food or drink. Its a great store run by fabulous people. I go back time and time again.

Very good selection of interesting not often seen food. Staff is knowledgeable about their products. Try Halva, its delicious and extremely cheap. Things seem well priced all around.

I love this store, I can find things I used to eat when I was a child back in my home town. Memories...EDIT: Employees MUST learn how to SMILE. I ask a question, she doesnt bother herself to turn look st me and answer my question. Come on guys, it is very RUDE. They used to have an amazing girl who used to work before covid, she was very smiley and helpful.But todays both ladies (June 24) seems doesnt care. Dont ruin the experience, please.

The Borscht was awesome, store is very clean and well kept. The staff dont get in your way or loom over you if youre shopping. Decent selection of products, dont be intimidated! They charged me $6.50 for a great bowl of borscht and bread, and I was full afterwards. They couldve charged me $10 to be honest, yes it was that good.

Nice staff , welcoming and friendly .sorry not the best coffee, I had regular then I had cappuccino other day , nope , maybe the sulfur water , maybe the coffee machine needs better cleaning I dont know , coffee was bad .

I LOVE their pelmeni!! Their beef barley soup is also very good. You can never go wrong with place! The shop assistants are also all very nice.

Clean, well lit, well stocked with jarred and canned goods and so much chocolate! Deli cases are chock full with an amazing variety of goods. Borcht was excellent and so were the pelmini. Where else are you going to find tarragon sopapop?

Ive been looking for a place to get some good pelmeni since I moved to Anchorage. I was not let down at all. Bought a 3 lb bag the other day for $15 and it was totally worth it. Ill definitely be returning to their store in the near future.

Their food is always good. Tastes fresh and nice size portions too.

Fast, friendly, decent walk-in service. Wish the sandwich had more meat (but who doesnt??). Pelmeni had cracks in them from being rolled too tight and then frozen too quickly, causing the filling to fall out during preparation. Not a huge deal, it happens.. just had to cook them at lower temp, slower. Probably will come back. Frozen salmon caviar hilariously expensive in a state where its often discarded or used as bait. Overall, great store!

If you like eastern European food from places like Russia and the Ukraine then this store is worth a visit. They have a great selection of deli meats ands cheese and other comfort foods like Peroski Vareniky and more.

I come here for the sandwiches and they are fantastic and very reasonably priced. They also carry some fantastic pastries and cured meats.

One of my favorite local spots to grab some lunch and a few items for home. Best for true Euro-Rus chocolates, deli meats and cheeses, and pastries.

Not a lot of hot lunch options, but the food is good and the market has a nice variety. The Borsch is a vegetarian option for people also.

Great store with russian, polish and ukranian supplies. Vareniki with cheese are actually as good as they should be, try it! Personnel speaks Russian.

Fascinating to walk around in. There is a wide selection of things to try, and I wish we had more time to try everything while were in town. FYI- most of the packaging is in Russian.

Friendly staff, unique products, including my favourite Knorr creme of bolete mushroom soup mix. I love their hard all-beef salami, pickled wild mushrooms, farmers cheese, Russian cookies and tea selection. In addition, the fresh breads, sweet rolls with poppyseed filling, and a wall of chocolates make it a tempting destination.

My go to place for pelmeni, sour cream, cottage cheese (Canadian style) and bulochki for kids.
