I asked some unusual questions about how the bread was made and the outlet store workers kindly went in to the back to ask the production supervisor to get answers for me.

On most days, blocks before making it to the corner of Hillcrest and Spenard, the smell of baking bread is downright distracting. Families with kids at West or Romig know what I mean. This review isn’t going to be long...freshly baked in house, large variety, specials all the time, wholesome ingredients...it’s a given. And the Texas Toast makes excellent French Toast! They are open 6 days a week. Be prepared to become addicted.

I love the outlet store! Theres always a great deal or two happening! Got 4 loaves of bread and a nice reusable bag for 6$!

Love the place but they the new young lady who works there has what I believe is her boyfriend (because he doesn’t work there and I know this) , sitting behind the counter with the cash register and it’s fairly uncomfortable and very unprofessional. Going to call and make a complaint as well..

Updated: Love their products and the bread is fresh with amazing prices that usually beats the grocery store. I like the option of buying freshly baked goods or discounted baked goods. The staff are friendly and you hardly have to wait to be checked out.

The prices are awesome, the various flavors and types of breads are mouth watering and the lady that works there is even more awesome. She was extremely helpful and kind, welcoming and approachable. She had good advice about all the products, and sent me out the door happy that I finally stopped into this flavor oasis of bread in the Anchorage area after 13 years of being here on my own! Wow!

I love this place. I cant get myself to buy bread anywhere else. I can go here and get three loaves of my favorite Franz bread for $5 whereas if I buy it at the store I spend $5 on a single loaf.

This is not a second rate, day old, bakery. They sell fresh bread and goods at almost half the cost you find in the stores locally but you can get a better price if you want the older baked goods. I dont because we dont eat it fast enough.

Ive been here 2 yrs now and have just discovered this place. Fresh bread at a discounted price, bakery items and spices. They even had the Pizelles that I couldnt find here. I will be a frequent flyer here!!
