I recently took my 2020 GMC in for an alignment. My truck was in and out in a timely manor. I enjoyed watching and listening to the comradery among the staff while waiting in the very clean waiting room. While waiting a customer came in and complemented management on the attitude and friendliness of a shop tech that assisted him. I experienced the same! Great place, clean and great people. Highly recommended.

Last winter, I had a rubbing wheel sound. I pulled into Point S and waited for the bad news. They came out and told me that it was just packed snow in the wheel, and removed the snow free of charge. They couldve hit me up for anything, but they were honest and helped me a great deal. I told them that I would bring my business to them, as a way to show appreciation for their honesty. So, when the early snow hit Anchorage, I knew it was time to get winter tires. I got a set of Nokian Hakkepiiliita 9 tires today, for an awesome price! They ride great! The atmosphere is friendly, efficient, and I will return for sure!

Worst experience I have ever had with a tire place. I ordered 8 tires and had them delivered to this recommended installer. I called a few days before to see if all the tires had arrived yet and was told once I get a email that they had been delivered they would be there. So this place is first come first serve so I showed up with both trucks at 6:30am and was second in line. Had to wait for place to open at 8:00am. When I got inside I turned in both trucks keys. Then after a few minutes a man comes out and says I only have two tires here. So I asked where is the other six tires he said they hadnt been delivered yet. So I showed him that FedEx delivered the six tires on Thursday and the last two on Friday. Then he got an attitude and said would you like to go see for yourself. I replied no but where are the tires he I dont know that is something you have to take up with FedEx and tirerack. So if you want unprofessional customer service and tires that you paid for to turn up missing Then this is the place for you. But if not then I would go somewhere else.

My car was brought to Point S for repairs after a wreck. I have a had a noise in the wheel that was damaged ever since, and its been 3 months. Took it back to them and was told it was the exhaust and a tow package that had been put on. The took off the tow package and replace the bushings on the exhaust. They handed me a hanger for the exhaust that wasnt put back on, even though it had been on there since the tow package was installed. They didnt get rid of the noise. Ended up taking it to Toyota and the wrong size bolt was used to put my shock back on and a part for my parking brake is missing. It has been three months and countless hours on the phone and a huge headache trying to get my car repaired. Ive been without a car for a week now and will be for at least another week. I would not recommend them for any work or repairs.

We have not yet got anything installed yet,waiting for the order to come in. However very professional took the time to educate us about the different tires we were looking for (never used A/T before). Also Ryan was very patient with our questions we did not feel rushed. Just excited now to get everything on. Mos Def recommended place to go to.

Havent taken my vehicle to a shop in forever. Had to this time. Front end alignment. Pulled to the right when it was done and I had a situation in the front right. Ryan took me back in and TOOK CARE of my truck. He actually went above & beyond and that is not what I expected from a shop. I am glad that I picked this shop. This place is technically part of a national chain but the experience feels like a locally owned shop, which is great in my experience. The customer service at this shop is amazing.My Experience:I bought a replacement tire online and had it delivered to Anchorage Point S for installation. Quick and easy service with no issues.The original tire (less than 5,000 miles of wear) had a bulge and there was no evidence that impact caused the issue. I asked about submitting a claim to the manufacture regarding the possible defect, which Point S did on my behalf. After several weeks of back and forth with Hankook, including shipping a piece of the tire to Hankook, Hankook approved the warranty claim.I wouldnt have received any reimbursement if not for the diligence and patience of Loren, Kevin and various others. Thank you all!Cant recommend this place enough simply based on customer service.

I went in to Point S as they offered alignments starting at around $100 bucks. This was pretty cheap compared to places around, plus other places required an appointment.This business runs on a first come, first serve basis. I showed up at 8am right at closing for an alignment as I have just lifted my truck.The tech started working on my truck right away and pulled me into the shop to literally show me the problems that were present. The tech was honest about every issue and provided me several options to fix the issues present.The tech was able to fix all the problems that were present after the lift, get my alignment perfectly aligned, and provide me with an amazing customer experience.Ive never felt more comfortable with a shop working on my vehicles than what Point S provided.Point S will serve as my goto shop for ANY issues I have with my vehicle that I personally cannot resolve on my own.I highly recommend Point S to anyone that needs help with their vehicles.

Another smooth summer-tire changeover, thanks, Point S! We have been coming here for years for our seasonal winter/summer tire changes, and we bought our last set of summer tires here. The staff is always friendly and professional (even to self-important people who show up near the end of the day and throw a fit because they arent being put ahead of everyone whos been waiting), their prices are right, and they have free internet, coffee, popcorn, and TV if you choose to wait while your vehicle is being worked on. Plan ahead and get there early, as their day gets booked up fast during changeover season. We usually drop off our car and wait for a call when its done.

A solid 4.5 Star, great service, nice and friendly staff, to be honest I wasnt really impressed with the style of my new tires though. But they will do until I need new ones, I shouldve ask if there were other styles besides the ones I got.Missed opportunity for them as well as I was willing to pay for my break pads to be changed on the same day. The tires were already being swapped with new ones, and I had new break pads sitting in my back seat ready to go, wouldve been a quick change for the breaks pads all in one go with the tires, a win/win for them and myself. But I didnt want to reschedule another day just to install them, I can do them at home.Would recommend this place. I was in the area and Auto Zone from across the street recommend them so I took their recommendation. There are other nearby Auto Shops near my home, so I may or may not revisit them anytime soon.

If you need an alignment, point s is a great option. Their staff is prompt and professional, their equipment is modern and accurate, and the results are as good as it gets. We’ve had a number of vehicles aligned here and have had good experiences every time!

Check your invoice before paying. The tech tried to charge me for TPMS (tire pressure sensor) replacement, but my vehicle doesn’t have TPMS sensors—it uses indirect TPMS. He took it off without comment when I pointed that out, but how many unknowing customers have needlessly paid those $20 for work that wasn’t done?Looking back at the invoice from changeover in November, they did the same thing—I hadn’t noticed at the time. For my original summer tire mounting last spring, the bill was correct. Two out of three services with fraudulent charges.I have no complaint about the quality of work, but their ethics are unacceptable. Look elsewhere.

Just needed a simple tire patch for a small leak. Had never been in before and decided to give them a try. Phil was able to help me and was an awesome technician! Personable and alerted me to a minor bend in my wheel that I was not aware of. Will definitely be back to utilize this facility for any mechanical or tire/wheel issues I may have in the future. Great customer service and in and out within an hour! Great experience!

The shop lied to me. Ive asked multiple time on the phone and in person if they do custom alignments, and they said yes. I bring my car in, and they suddenly changed their mind and said no.

They went above and beyond!!! I cant say enough about these folks. I absolutely loved my studded tires they installed for me in October (still do!) and brought my car in for what turned out to be a non-tire related issue that they resolved for me anyways. Kevin and Mike explained to me every step of their process and were extremely efficient and courteous. I even got to work on time (I thought I would be late but they took care of me right away) and told all of my participants about what a great experience I had here. Its like I have a whole new car. I ordered a set of Nokian winter tires. I had called other tires shops that told me they were not available. After researching I called Point S and Ryan was extremely helpful, ordered the tires. Im very particular with my vehicles and custom wheels, there is normally only one tech in the state that i trust enough to do my tire work because I know his passion for his work. Unfortunately I wasnt able to get to that tech when I had a damaged tire. I decided to risk it and stop here to get it fixed and Im glad I did. These guys were able to get me in quickly and did a great job fixing the tire, and going above and beyond to look over my truck, doing a quick inspection. The staff was knowledgeable and professional and I would absolutely recommend the shop to anyone looking.

When you wont service with little wait this is the place to go. Pull up in front of one of the doors. Wait and someone will come out and ask you what you need done. You answer and they will direct you to what door you need. When the door opens you drive in. They do what needs doing.. They do it. You can pay there or drive around to the front and go in and pay. They even have free popcorn. Cant beat it.

Ive purchase both my summer and winter studded tires here, for the most part service is great. Usually flip flopping tires from one season to the next costs 60 buck, 15 a tire. Took 3 days to get in and this time it cost 90 bucks, 22.50 a tire. WOW 7.50 more a tire,,,, kind of feel a like i was taken for a ride. I likely will not go back. Price gouging much due to COVID?

I had Anchorage Tire Factory order a set of Hakkeppelita tires for my new vehicle. When I arrived, the staff were super friendly and helpful. They were accommodating to our Lexus GX which has air suspension by using a lift that would be better suited for such. Even though the sale was already made, as I had special ordered exactly what I wanted, they took the time to explain the technology of the tires and the features that make them stand out amongst the many other choices available to me. The greatest experience I have had with an automotive shop in Anchorage. The staff is very professional even when it is very busy and the customers are being rude and childish. They have been busy all day today and Lauren has still shown her professionalism through it all. Also the prices here are very affordable. I will continue to bring my vehicles for as long as I live in Anchorage . AK for life!!!!

I am very please with Anchorage Tire Factory. They are fast, easy and very understanding! I bought tires back in 2014 that had a warranty for 40 K miles and after one year, after 20 k miles they were shot and I needed new ones. I did not contact them for a year because I didnt need summer tires because of winter. So now in 2016, I asked them to honor the warranty and because I did get half life out of those tires, they are giving me 50% off a brand new set of tires! Thanks Anchorage Tire Factory!!!

They had what I needed in stock and even though they were extremely busy after the first snow fall they managed to squeeeze me in at the end of the day and changed over my tires for me. Great experience both times I have been in. They beat both of the price quotes I brought in for tires and an idler arm/alignment service. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

I took my wheels and snow tires to get mounted, easy job and they have done a good job before. picked up my tires and when I got home saw they used the clamp style weights on one of my wheels to balance and the rest they used the correct weights for aluminum wheels. I would not use them again as this is a not correct for these wheels, and most good shops stopped using these many years ago!?

I called this afternoon about a flat tire. Not even tires they put on my truck. I took the truck down to have the inner and outer beads checked. They found a leaky valve stem! They replaced it and had me back on the road in a half hour! Great customer service and an amazing group of guys! Thank you so much for the work! Im always happy when I go see them!

Tie rod end (inner and outer), tire rotation and balance. Had a wobble. No longer have a wobble. Lifetime warranty on my particular tie rod ends. Did not even cost me an arm or a leg.

Great shop staffed by down to earth guys. Very little pretense. Not too slick and not too ratty. They know what theyre talking about, and theyll take 5 minutes to check out your TPMS, tell you your options, and generally treat you like a human being. Anchorage doesnt have enough businesses like this left.

Bought Nokian tires. The tires are good and they had them in stock. But I didnt get them installed here. Price was reasonable. Maybe they can be more proactive and provide better customer service.

Awesome customer service, great place for an oil change

This Spring, I went to another tire place in to install some atv tires i had bought onto my existing rims and had sticker shock. Then I went to Anchorage Tire Factory and they were 50% less for the install than the other guys. Tire Factory got me in and out quickly and with a fair price. I went back a couple weeks ago with what I though was a screw in my tire because the pressure had dropped. They got me in quickly, removed the tire, soaped it up and found no leak. The tech filled me up to proper pressure and they didnt charge me. When my truck needs its original tires replaced, Ill be going to the Anchorage Tire Factory.

I will start by saying I usually have good luck with The Tire Factory. However, I noticed a small nail in my tire and took it to the Old Seward Location to have it fixed. After several minutes I noticed the guy spraying my tire to try and locate the nail. He was having trouble because there was no leak, just a small nail. I went out and showed him where the nail was. After 45 minutes I began to wonder what was taking so long. He had drilled a hole in my tire to insert a plug however he didnt follow the nail hole, instead he drilled to the side towards my sidewall. So after installing two 1/4 plugs to fill a 1/16 nail hole the tire had developed a leak. They put the tire back on and told me I would have to buy 2 new tires. These are close to $400 each. No other resolution was offered. I will not be going back and would not recommend this location for any repair work.Update: The manager called me from his vacation and will be replacing the tire. This is the service I normally get from the tire factory.

I had a good experience getting tires. They have great in house warranties.

Seemed to be a good value for ties that were special ordered from the lower 48. They have free rotate and balance and flat repair. They also have a partnership with other chains in the western part of the US so you should be covered at those locations as well.Staff would not take 2-3 minutes to file a sharp spot on the wheel that is only accessible when the tire is off. Wheel repair is not their thing. Seriously one jagged spur that would take a few strokes from a file.I would still recommend this place.

I was working in the lower 48 when my 18 yr-old daughter had a tire issue. My go-to tire shop (Purcell) didnt have what I needed in stock, so they referred me to the Tire Factory. They cost just a hair more than Purcel, but they had what I needed in stock and did a great job. I really appreciate the hand-holding for my daughter in my absence.

Came here for an oil change and mount and balance. They took good care of me and did a thorough job. I was actually in the bay while they did the oil change, so was able to watch the service. No attempts to upsell me.The downside... $75 for an oil change. Just your standard 4-5 quarts of 5w30 conventional. Whoah! I already had my car in the bay and told them if they gave me a good deal on the mount and balance, it was all good. Mind you this was 10 degree weather, snowy, and my engine was piping hot. Not a day I would want to change my own oil.End of the day, they unmounted 9 tires, mounted and balanced 5, and actually got the tire pressure right. Not one protest about mounting my used tires that were slightly off spec. Loaded my other wheels into the truck. Charged just $40 for dealing with my wheels/tires that were sitting outside frozen. Appreciate it guys!Overall, nice staff and very good service. They did give me a good deal on the tire service. I cannot recommend a $70+ oil change, though.

The staff and service was outstanding and I do not say that lightly. My family and were heading out of town in our RV when I encountered tire issues. I thought I had to cancel the trip. Boys were disappointed. I tried the normal channels, Costco, Sams Club, and Johnsons, but the late our did not give us too many options. Not only did they have the tires I needed in stock, they got them on their and within an hour we were on the road.

Pretty straight forward. No appointment needed. First come first service. Not sure if you are purchasing tires you get a boost. Fills up quick especially during tire changeover seasons
