Be careful when buying from these guys.I bought a Marlon rack from these guys and come to find they gave me two long bed rails instead of a short bed and a long bed. They said it should’ve only come with one even tho the head sales guy at Marlon says otherwise and that I should be happy I got two. I have a short bed truck. How does that help. Had to get my buddy to transport it. Long story short they just ghosted me when I asked for the right ones.. The Polaris sales guy who sold it to me couldn’t care less about you once you once the sale is done.

The service department is way behind. It takes months to get anything done. When they finally got to do the warranty work on my machine, I was told I could pick it up Thursday. Then was told it would be ready Saturday for sure. Then was told, Sorry, the guy who runs the scan machine just left and wont be back until Tuesday. You can pick it up Tuesday, for sure.I live remote and one way its a 3 1/2 hour trip into Anchorage. This has been EXTREMELY inconvenient for me.

Amazing service, Anchorage Yamaha litterly is the best shop in Alaska hands down! I gurentee that they will bend over backwards to help any customer with any need, to me that is worth its weight in gold.. I wanted to amend what I said about this business earlier. After all this happened, I spoke to the owner, who is really nice. The bill was reasonable and they had even forgotten to charge for some small incidental parts over another issue I was aware of with the bike, but had planned to fix myself. They still have room for improvement, but they are a good shop and really trying and it showed. They didnt know about this review.Bad Service but Good Hearts.Worst Service EverThe Service Dept doesnt even have an option when you call their main number. When you do finally get through to them they are gruff and make excuses. A part i needed had a 200% markup there and the work was quoted as needing a week and a half. It has been 2 days shy of a month and my motorcycle has still not been worked on. I already knew what the issue was, told them about it and that I just didnt have the tool. At the end the Service Mgr told me it takes them a week to get parts, which I found incredulous, since I also work in a field where I have to order parts daily. Now I just want to go buy a Harley.

I purchase a generator from them never used it for the purpose I bought it for when I called about returning it they stated they cant refund me since it is now considered used and cant sell as new this wasnt right since this was never told to me are disclosed of a no return policy they stated that they could put a brand new machine i just bought on consignment to help me sell it why should i lose money on something I never used and sell it for less it would be different If at some point that there was a no return policy but there wasnt anywhere this was bad business on their part to make it correct so be aware you buy its yours stuck with it first and last time doing business with them

Been trying to get my parts her my wheeler here theyre having problems in parts department so Ill have to go over to service and maybe theyll be able to figure it out pinpoint the parts and the numbers so the parts department can get it together have got Parts there for years and years never had so much problem just until lately hope they get it together thank you guys

The tech guy on the phone told my wife that running a Yamaha generator outside will blow the motor up.... What kind of person would say this! Thank God she didnt bring it inside and gas herself.. the tech obviously has no common sense. Best to stay away from places like this

The motorcycle parts counter is second to none. They were super helpful filling in the blank spots of info I had on my bike. They even charged my battery for me when it died. They werent pushy trying to sell me anything, they werent obnoxious, or rude and they had, or could order everything i needed rather quickly.Keep up the good work.

I have dealt mostly with the marine side of Anchorage Yamaha and they are fantastic. Repairs are done right, done quickly and priced fairly. George and Dave are always helpful and always take the time to make sure you understand the situation. They have gone out of the way to make sure that I knew how to deal with my new outboards and knew the code to defuse the 20 hour oil change alarm. My experience spans 7 years and numerous interactions - all uniformly positive. An excellent business!!! On the other side, I bought a Yamaha generator and had no issues - good price, solid info before I bought.

Have had my motorcycle for 3 summers now. Good bike. Terrible parts and service department. Asked about a part 3 times on separate visits and phone calls. They tell me theyll look it up and contact me later. There is never a call back.If I call to ask about service as simple as an oil change Ill get a quoted different prices depending on the employee that answers the phone that day. Never a solid number. Few months back I called to try and schedule and appointment. They told me they were backed up a few weeks. Thats understandable. What isnt is how they wanted the bike dropped off for work. Instead of scheduling a day to do an oil change and inspection and then picking it up the following day, they wanted me to drop the bike off and have it sit there for the few weeks until they could fit it in.Called a few days ago asking about costs on a tire and installation. Was told itd be about 160 for the tire and about 140 for the installation. Got in my car to go buy the tire today and called them to make sure it was still in stock. The guy this time around told me it would be around 230 for the tire.This place is a joke.

I took my Rhino there to get fix through my Insurance company claim and it took them three months to get it done. I have no idea why they never call me and let me know what is going on. I have to keep calling them almost every two week to follow up. I dont get it why they taking their sweet time to get couple thing done. There will be no more next time taking my ATV or Rhino to go get fix in Anchorage Yamaha. They seem not to like customers who have a better ATV then their but the two sale men they were great guy.

Go to A2D for better faster service, Chad will take care of you. for snow gos go to big lake Yamaha or homer lower penn power sports, was going to buy a snowgo here but after using their shop service hell no. very dissatisfied with the customer service and shop service. ripoff. they will give you good lip service thats about it. still waiting on my engine.

I called and ordered tires from these guys, and asked them more than once if they could put them on my Honda for me, with the answer being yes both times. I never received a call when my tires arrived, and when I got here to pick them up, they told me there was nothing they could do for me because I ride a Honda, and offered no help whatsoever. I would not recommend this place to anyone other than someone who is partial to Yamaha. There are several other shops in the area.

Yxz 1000r very fast. Cluch is junk. Yamaha will not warranty it. If your into changing your cluch every 200 - 400 miles they are sweet.

Ive bought 2 ATVs over the last couple years and recently a yxz side by side.The sales team is good to work with but the service center is terrible. I dropped my machine off to have it checked over for a safety issue(machine spit hot coolant into the driver and passengers faces). I was given the impression it would be looked at under warranty in 10 days or less. It took closer to a month and I was billed for their services when I picked up my machine.They will 100% NOT communicate with you after you drop your machine off. Dont expect to get any progress reports and if you call no one there will know anything about it.I personally dont plan to ever do business with Anchorage Yamaha again. Its not worth the frustration.

Most laughable experience I have ever had. We walked in with every Intention to buy a 2016 Viking VI. We knew exactly what options we wanted and simply wanted to buy the machine. The sales guy was a goof, he would show an item on the machine then look around to see if anybody was listening and whisper how he could get us 500 knocked off the price ( a Yamaha rebate). I seriously thought he was going to open his coat and start showing us watches. The entire time he keeps trying to push this blinged up Ranch edition that was totally worthless to us. Finally he sits down and starts writing numbers all over a Yamaha pricing sheet. All done in his handwriting and all over the paper. The entire time we are telling him we want the base VI ESP with options and were ready to buy it. Couldnt produce a PO nor could he email us the PO cause they really dont use computers, really! Finally tells us he will write up a PO not a computerized PO but a hand written PO but it will take him a couple of days. Fine we will be in Tuesday at 4 to sign the papers as we have a flight to catch. You guessed it, we go in Tuesday and he is showing somebody a 4 wheeler, never once said hey guys be right with you. 5 o clock he finally comes over and says oh that unit i wrote up isnt in stock, thought it was but we are so busy I couldnt go in the back to look. Really good deal on that Ranch Unit though. OK what do you have, tells he has a 2015 model he can give us 1,000 off MSRP another Yamaha Factory rebate. OK write up the PO and e mail us the contract. Cant really do e mail but will try. Lets us walk out of the place without a deposit, no kidding. 4 days later I call him, wheres the PO. Are you ready, the guy says Oh I made a mistake that unit I told you about was a three across not six but I can sell you that Ranch model for only a couple more thousand more. He kept telling me how it was his fault and how busy they were and it wasnt just that easy to go in the back and look. He then tells me he called Wasilla and Big Lake and nobody knows when they are getting a shipment and nobody has any in stock. Called Wasilla, told them what I wanted. The sales guy knew exactly what he had in stock and had an electronic PO VIN number and all E Mailed to me next morning. Sent him a deposit and done. Three days later I get a call from Anchorage still trying to sell that Ranch unit. What a goofball. I would stay as far away from that place as possible

I went by the marine side to schedule a service for my out board. When I walked in I was in a great mood and ready to spend some cash! I walk up to the counter, said my usual hello, hows it going? The person behind the counter was an older stocky gentleman whos reply was what do you want? I thought his initial reply was rude, but I just shook it off.... I told him my reason for coming in (service to my out board & a new low end unit). This guy basically treated me like I was an F tard. I walk out of there with smile on my face knowing that these jerkoffs will never EVER see a penny from me. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY MARINE SERVICE, PARTS OR SALES!
