I love our local Micheal’s especially since they are the only craft store left on the south side of Anchorage. I recently went in to get supplies for preserving my wedding bouquet and the staff were so helpful with ideas and products!

This place is a gold mine. If youre as creative with using different art supplies as you are making art with them, you can always find a good deal. Personally, I like to multipurpose things and I found a pack of puffy paints on clearance for $2 each. I now use the empty needle bottles for my home made paints and pigments.

I was not here to shop but went with a friend. I did find some juicy fruit gum there that I havent seen in years. Michaels had what my friend was looking for in various price ranges, and she found a variety pack that had exactly what she needed.

Michaels was well stocked and had more than one register open. Lol in GA we wait forever in line to pay

Friendly customer service, decent selection of artist crafting tools and supplies. You find coupons on the website for better deals. A nice quick pit stop for your DIY needs.

Do not shop at this store! Poor customer service! I recently called this Michael’s store looking for an item. The clerk who answered the called went to see if she could find it for me. She happily reported back that she had found what I was looking for. When I asked if she could hold it til the next morning she said they could not. I then asked if I could pay for it over the phone she said no. Then I asked if they could set it aside til I asked a friend to go pick it up for me she said no again. She offered to ask her manager. The manager Lauris got on the phone and told me no to all my requests. I explained I lived over an hour away and she said they could not hold this $6 item til the next day. Lauris was very rude and not helpful. The store advertises Curb side pickup yet this was not even presented as an option.I do not recommend this store if you are in need of assistance or seeking good customer service!

Michaels needs to get an electric cart. Joanns has one and its nice for the customers who have medical conditions because those concrete floors HURT knees and feet even when walking!!

Michaels has what Im looking for, just about every time! Often also good discounts and sales.

Im not sure what has happened with Miachels. Limited paints and markers. The sticker isle was almost gone. Maybe this was due to inventory and restocking. It kind of hit or miss over in the Diamond Miachels.

I ordered curbside pick up so my mother in law can pick it up (high risk for covid) and they had me waiting 20 minutes on hold saying my order doesn’t exist. I gave them my order number and everything for them to give the phone (20 MINUTES LATER) to a manager that rudely told me that it’s not ready. I ordered ONE item! Then finally they call me back saying “I’ll bring the item out to her” with an attitude like I’m bothering them. Seriously? I’ve been inside of michaels and I am constantly seeing employees just standing around doing nothing and they couldn’t help my high risk mother in law for ONE item. Unbelievable.Ps. I wouldn’t have mind the wait if they weren’t being rude.

They go to the store a lot they have anything you might need to make something at home whether it be a hobby or a gift for a loved one they have everything you need to do what you want to do.they also have a variety of things where you could probably decorate your whole entire wedding baby shower birthday party anything like that, sticker stamps paint jewelry making all kinds of awesome things in the store they even have woodworks and kits to make stuff with your kids or something like that t-shirts to tie dye all kinds of stuff like that.

Great store for sewing and fabric supply as well as drawing and art supplies.

Specific to framing only. You know the type of “customer service” person that seems to be looking for a way out of doing your project? Yep, that’s here. Immediately put up obstacles and continued to do so. Will buy local although $200 more and get a better product and service.

Michaels is a great place to go for your crafts. They have a large variety of interests and great prices. I particularly browse their art supplies and am always happy with the selection of new products. Youll often find things on sale and if you download their coupons app, they always have a 40% off coupon. Its good for almost everything in the store.

Found everything I needed, but theyre pretty spendy. Everytime I go to buy supplies for class projects I end up dropping over 50$

Michaels is great. This location is always pretty well stocked and, more often than not, i end up leaving with a cart full of stuff that wasnt on my list. The staff is friendly and helpful, bot to mention very knowledgeable and forthcoming with suggestions.

Store does not have much instock. Covid mask sign, but they do not reinforce it well.

The ladies who helped my husband at Christmas were awesome! I was beginning a new hobby and they helped him get me the stuff to start it. Everytime I have been there they are super nice.

Y’all need new employees. My sister and I were just reading the sign on the door for our mom and some lady comes out with a nasty attitude saying “you need to have a mask to come in”. First of all I wasn’t trying to come in. Second of all I don’t ever want to come into your store now. Super rude for no reason.

I love Michaels and their prices BUT their management and employees need to get on the same page so their customers can get on the same page. Curbside pickup could be a breeze if we were all on the same page. In the confirmation email it doesnt state anything about having your id, where to park, where employees would like to put your bag ext. On the website it says 1. Order 2. Pull up 3. Bags are placed in trunk. But when I just went to pick up a curbside order, when I said my trunk was popped she kept repeating, were not supposed to do this over and over again. Not supposed to do what? Im still confused. Also maybe having some parking spaces in the front designated for curbside pickup could be very helpful for employees and avoid creating a traffic obstacle infront of the store.Also side note, people waiting to get in to the store were not standing 6ft apart. Its a crafts store, I feel like they could make some xs outside to help people create an organized line.I understand things are new and protocals are adapting but these things are vital in order to have a smooth moving, safe business.

Not only is the staff friendly, but theyre knowledgeable and always smiling. Whenever I have a question about any kind of project, they do their best to help, even if its not in their wheelhouse of individual expertise.

2021- (update with pix)I love coming in here and just being inspired by everything around me getting my artistic juices flowing. This is my adult Chuck E. Cheese. I have the app so I always have a coupon to use and it’s not a one time coupon I can use it day after day I’ve literally gone to Michael’s the last three days.2017- Michaels is my play house I go there when I am needing inspiration there’s so much there to do to look at. From Photos to painting to beaters to molding scrapbook or’s to journaling anything you can think of craft wise they carry it even stuff for bakers to decorate the cakes you name it they have it they always have coupons they always got sales download the app ahead of time save your self a few bucks. The staff is so friendly they’re helpful you need anything the point in the right direction I’m so happy the valley now has one too by the way.

Arts and crafts, whats not to love? I get little odds and ends here for my craft projects. Bought a vinyl cutter here for a good price for Alaska. It was the same price on Amazon, but Amazon makes you wait a week or more.

Location and hours are very convenient. Staff is friendly and helpful most of the time. They apparently are in the process of switching suppliers so some of my favorite things are not available right now. But the staff assured me that will be fixed in the future.

I love this store! Its like a candy store but for the creative mind.

My wife likes this store. Honestly, I think they have items priced way too high and then have HUGE sales on those items which actually bring them back down to a reasonable price. Even the sales dont bring them down to the prices of the items at other locations.Overall though, the store is well kept and the sales associates have always been helpful and knowledgeable when I have gone to the store. Cant complain except for the sales they have.

Reasonably priced craft store with a variety of supplies. Excellent framing shop that can customize your art with their assistance. Good staff, they just dont carry a lot of higher end art supplies. However if you are a beginner or intermediate skilled artist you have a plethora to choose from.

Large craft store with a fairly wide variety of supplies, decor & holiday. Some items there is a large selection to choose from & some items not so much. Always have coupons (for most items) & sales...plus military discount!!!

Very sad this year to find out neither Michaels store is stocking Hanukkah items this year, they sell these items but your either have to special order them (only a select few items) or go out of state. I bought many Hanukkah items from this Michaels last year, not sure why they have changed their local, seasonal inventory.

I can pretty much find anything I need in there and for a great price, of you have an account with them you can get coupons that really come in handy, they have a great variety of things there.

I can always find what Im looking for! And the employees here are helpful and have no problem helping you find coupons and discounts on the app. Favorite place for art supplies. Also, for all you teachers out there, theres a teacher discount when you bring proof of employment and are buying supplies for your classrooms!
