Great shopping experience. All staff we encountered were very friendly. Store is very clean and organized. We were just passing through on our way to the ferry, it was definitely worth the stop to pick up a few things for the trip.

Was gonna complain a few months ago about an employee who freaked out on other customers over proper mask usage, but then there was a blonde manager lady who handled it. I was in again yesterday and same manager lady there on her day off provided me with great customer service. Think her name was Hailey or Holly.

Quick checkout and I was oh so happy they had some strawberries. Went to 3 grocery stores in Mount Vernon that didnt have any.

5 minutes to be greeted 10 more before drink and order were taken and it was only me with plenty of seats available. Vegetables flavorless and a little under cooked for me (crunchy). Lobster Mac-n- cheese best hot but still delicious.

The reason I give The Market at Anacortes four stars is mainly because of the price. If that is not a heavy factor for you, then, The Market has great produce, great beer and liquor selection, an extensive spice collection, and has many items that you could not find at its competitor store, Safeway. The prices are just higher than Safeway - often by a lot.Price is a heavy factor for me at this point in my life, so I do not shop there on a regular basis, but as I mentioned, there are things I appreciate about The Market. I do understand why people shop there. It has more items that you might find in a Whole Foods or a co-op. It is a small town, so the selection may not be as extensive as those examples, but they are the closest things that remind me of The Market.The people there are friendly. They offer paper or plastic, and they ask you what you want when you check out.If you follow the local paper, they do often come out with some killer coupons usually for fruit and veggies. If that is what you are in the market for, these are worth looking for if you subscribe.The dairy and meat sections have a smaller selection than Safeway, which is another reason that they lost a star. I often do not find what I am looking for in the meat and dairy departments. I have a lot more choices at Safeway.Overall, I leave my Yelp rating as A-OK, three stars, as I note the pluses and minuses of my experience with The Market. Try it out for yourself and see if it meets your needs.

The selection is overwhelming. Love the cheese selection! Very quiet in the store. Love the spice selection. Plus they sell lump crab which I dont see that often. Staff was helpful and friendly. In short, a great atmosphere and shopping experience.

The old lady that worked in the bakery had a really bad attitude. I’m not really sure what her problem was that day, but I will not be ordering a sandwich from her again. Next time have a better attitude.

The Market has quickly become my favorite grocer in town! The produce cant be beat, the offerings in the deli are DELICIOUS, and the employees go out of their way to take care of you! I dont find there to be a big difference in price between The Market and the other big store in town, at least for what I shop for, and Ive found it well worth choosing to go here.

Been to this place a few times and always walk away disappointed. From it being over price, being dirty and just not having what you are looking for.And to day it was last resort coming here to see if they had chicken heart or gizzards. Only to have this butcher lady scream at me like uncaring karen I ONLY CHICKEN LIVER!... After that thought best to silently leave.Really starting to wonder where to buy organ meat with Walmart not having it lately.

Lovely staff and good selection. But... the prices :O shocked! Everything was $2-$3 more per item than other stores. Even more expensive than the food coop in mt vernon! You could spend an extra $50 by shopping here on a weekly trip. Yikes!

Simply love this store. Their wine selection is impressive for even those that don’t indulge. The bakery is outstanding. Their sandwiches ... the turkey, cranberry and cream cheese on croissant is absolutely delicious! One of my weekly must stop locations. Highly recommend.

Really high quality deli & service - with prices on the same scale, though usually worth the cost. Great fresh sandwiches & salads. The fresh-roasted Hatch chile dishes (I tried the potato salad and mac & cheese) were awesome. It was interesting to see the roasting process out front - a unique event, I gather.

Locally owned. Amazing fresh fruit & veggies selection. Fresh deli options for quick meals or party plates. The bulk and spice selection is the biggest I’ve seen at even main stream health food stores! (Unfortunately, everything is prepackaged in plastic at this time due to covid.)

Why is it that the market only does a fraction of the business that safeway does ? i hear a lot of people from anacortes say they wont go in the market. its like this store has some kind of negative energy to it.

Only place I have found seaweed salad.

Several good items, like the bakery and hot deli even though theyre small, great produce and flowers. Strange layout and hard to locate specific items in the aisles, doesnt carry some of the brands were used to buying so we dont always stop here especially if we need things like laundry detergent/hand soap/breakfast sausage. It is good for fresh produce, fresh meat, and dry bulk goods.

Great place for your shopping needs, first place in town Ive seen with such a great method of sanitizing their shopping car ts with a sprayin g mist that dries shortly after apllication. Making it quick and easy tto sanitize and eliminate the use of cleansing whips reducing waste production and savin g time for the @ employees to get back to other needs of gtheir working day.

I came in for a roast the other day and they didnt have a single 1...also be careful of expired food and/or freezer burnt food

Came here for a special kind of salad they make. Smoked mozzarella pasta. I can get it at the Birch Bay location but not here, sadly. Found the rest of the store to be selective in the stock. Still, loved some of your other taste treats. Prices a bit higher that other stores in the area.

Not really there for shopping but needed one item. Noticed they had a great bulk section big selection of spices, grains and beans. Looks like a great store.

Good selection and local and organic options. During Covid and they werent allowing bring your own bag we were pretty much forced to use a plastic bag or carry our stuff. No boxes, no paper available. I hope they will start providing more boxes for groceries.

More expensive here across the board than safeway, buy they do tend to have some more special, higher end products. Never busy, so easy to get in and out quickly.

Great local market. Prices are good, but the real reason to come here is the bulk foods section.I was looking for whole wheat berries to grind our own flour. This is hard to find, but The Market had that, and many other wholesome bulk foods (plus sweets for the kids).Produce section looked great as well, but I dint get a chance to visit it this time.

I appreciate that The Market makes an effort to stock locally made products. It is always less crowded than the other big grocery store in town, Safeway. The prices are a bit higher. The Market is a really dumb name and confusing.

This was the cleanest (there floors were literally shiny) and most organized marketIve ever been to. Seriously. Other than that they provided the excellent customer first service weve all grown accustomed to receiving from this chain of stores, no matter the location. This particular store gets a 10 for cleanliness!

They generally have what you need. They quality of meats fruits and veggies leaves a lot to be desired. The huge end caps at check out prevent customers from being able to empty your cart without a hassel. The employees are great!

Pros and cons. The pro is that the experience and the merchandise are all top shelf, but you pay a premium for that. Well you rarely get something for nothing in this life, so if you can afford a little more at the checkout, the experience and the quality of the product are definitely worth it. If final cost is your most important thing, run down the street to Safeway.

Visited this store while in town. Have been to others stores in different areas however this is a top notch in my book. Cant wait to return and sample more of its amazing wares

Love anacortes shops

Just started shopping there recently. They have great coupon sales for produce. We dont buy much in snack food except bagged nuts and microwave popcorn and dessert is fresh or frozen fruit. It has not been crowded when we shopped there.

Tho sometimes the prices are a little more than Safeway, the difference in selection is really nice and a full deli and salad bar is super nice too.

The Market has an eclectic array of high quality foods for fairly decent prices. Produce is top notch and if you cant find what you are looking for the produce clerks will help you get it....Frugal Friday and their frequent coupon books are a godsend for those looking for great deals

Good customer service and great bakery.

This is a lovely market with an excellent bulk and organic section. A bit expensive on every day grocery items, but good value in bulk and excellent selection in organic, specialty and upscale items. The bulk section carries an amazing array of items--green bamboo rice, red rice, black hummus, lentils, dal...to name a few. I love the amazing fragrances that waft from the offerings in this section. Also a good selection of natural health care remedies. Stop by, you will find something that intrigues you.

A great one stop shopping place. You can get your standard produce and grocery items. And they also have an extensive selection of healthy and natural items. I really appreciate their gluten free options and their selection of dietary supplements.

Best in the area really high quality produce, nice environment with great lighting of product. Bakery in my opinion is understaffed and short on product line as is the salad bar. Needs an olive bar to boot. But it is a small town so ya get what you get.

Were transplants to Anacortes and Ive decided that the Market is my go-to grocery store. The produce is fabulous and they have a very good selection of goods in the bulk section. The aisles are wide and everything is clean and neat. Not only that, the people that work there are so nice! Love shopping there.

This was one the most cleanest, well organized and had plenty of health conscious selections. I was visiting here from ga, and just stopped in to get a couple of items, and I must say I was very impressed!

Our favorite place to shop when in town, why you ask? Because it is a hometown family style market, with all the great products your looking for at any occasion. Fresh organic produce, wonderful deli,well stocked with items A to Z. A complete 1 stop market with helpfull, happy, staff. 5 stars!

We have been to Anacortes several times and each time we go we buy food from this market. It is what I wish every grocery store was like.They are not the cheapest but they have high quality food including a wonderful deli selection of delicious items. We bought some small quiches to heat up for breakfast in our hotel.The staff here is always friendly and helpful. I wish we could pack this market up and bring it home with us!
