Just had a new Bimini Top put on my Sea Ray Sundancer. The tech and manager of the upholstery department, Nick was exceptionally professional, detailed, respectful and did everything he stated. The job was 1st class and I couldnt be happier. It was easy to put the Bimini top on and its quality and looks fabulous. The cost seemed to be in line. Also Nick initially came on a Saturday to Cap Sante marina to see my boat, even though theyre located in Skyline Marina. Nick at that time gave me the confidence they could do everything I wanted. And yes Nick performed to a tee. The reason give a 4 out of 5 is because during the Bimini job I requested some cosmetic and engine extras they said they could do. At the end of the day they dropped the ball on a few items, however KJ (I think an owner) has stepped up and will make everything right I think. I give Nick and the Bimini job a 10+.

Their scheduler, Kim, went out of her way to squeeze us into their full schedule the same day when we had an issue on the water that brought us into port. Mechanics, Chris and JR, were very knowledgeable, experienced, helpful and collaborative in diagnosing an intermittent gremlin after we had already gone through all the ‘obvious’ possibilities ourselves. Really appreciate how they put themselves in our shoes and went the extra mile to help us the same day. Other shops in the area were telling us to wait around a week before they could get us on the service schedule, forgetting that a boat waiting around is costing moorage fees just to wait, which could add hundreds to a relatively simple fix. North Island Boat is top of our list in the Anacortes and San Juan Island area.

How can I forget this place. The worst of the worst. Out eight thousand and nothing but, bad workmanship and unqualified mechanics. Had to have everything they did redone at another shop. You have to have rocks in your head to go there.

For several years now, we have had North Island help with our boat. My father started working with them a decade ago and I have had no reason to go back to the people at Cap Sante Marina who messed up our engine mechanics. North Island repaired the problems quickly and professionally.Most recently our 22 foot Sisou was pulled, cleaned the hull, now paint, fresh bright work, engine tuned. Each part of the work done quickly and with skill. Hard to find these days.

Horrible experience on sailboat refit. Actually damaged a new engine through improper exhaust installation and tried to cover up the error and deny compensation. Had to threaten legal action to settle.All work done was sloppy and late. Bills at top shop rate in the area and uses uncertified personnel. RUN!!!

I for one will not be back.... Beware of variable and capricious pricing.
