3 stars because I know nothing of the mechanic side of things. When I take my car there for inspection there is never a line and they inspect my car in about 10mins. I took a trailer there once and they looked at it before initiating an inspection and told me I would need a new light. I appreciated that because I wasnt tied down on a timeline and money wasnt at stake. Nice people. Dont be afraid of the condition of the shop. I believe it is a trustworthy establishment.

Dont go here for INSPECTION. Your car will FAIL....OLD LOYAL customers that send them business and years of business. Means nothing to them.. instead of offering to fix your car for a price like most reputable companys to get you on your way they will just refer you to someone else.. definitely not the small town shop of yesteryear.

Ive been going there previously and prices are just getting ridiculously high! Not sure if its because of COVID, but its been bad... They were quick to charge me and fail me during inspection even tho my check engine light was not on! Besides the point, they charged almost $700 to change out spark plugs and some hoses! Never again!!!

When getting my inspection the attendant said he has to take my phone with him to do the driving test. When asked why he said for proof of insurance while I drive. I have been coming for over 5 years and this has never been the case. I left and went to quick sticker. They said that wasnt true they should never leave with a customers phone.

I went for a simple inspection on my truck. When I walked in the guy said his computer hasnt been working, but he would try. He took my truck for a drive then pulled into the bay VERY fast(much faster than I would drive; I thought he was going to hit something). I asked how much the inspection would be for my truck, and he told me $40. When I confronted him about it and said I didnt want the inspection, he grinned then changed it to $25. I kept asking why he said $40 and he continued to grin seeking an answer I would accept. As I got in my truck to leave, he finally said he was pulling my leg.Clearly he was trying to take advantage of a woman, or trying to SCAM me. I WILL NEVER GO AGAIN OR RECCOMEND TO ANYONE ELSE. Im not stupid or a helpless woman! Not professional! Not cool!

I have a Pilot Escort service ( HVC OverWatch llc) due time the fact I am essential personnel and the shut down is not effecting me or my income , I have chose to get the service done in my truck by a local small business in my community ... I call one other shop before Cortez and the quote they gave so high it was nuts ... So here I am at Cortez getting my work done at a fair price for a small local business......

Took my car here for inspection and was in and out in a flash! Guy behind the counter was friendly and carried on a conversation while I waited. Only thing I would recommend is to maybe declutter the lobby area so it is a little more welcoming for customers waiting. Other than that, great service!

Went in today. I mistakenly ordered the wrong part. I went I pick up my car and the gentleman who I spoke to first was super nice and explained to me what I ordered vs what I needed. I was originally quoted 117.00 for the entire fix. I was told by him I was good to go and to come back when I received the correct part. Then another guy yelled over to the first gentleman, in Spanish, and although I dont know what was said...I can only assume based on the events that took place after they were done speaking. The first guy changed his mind and said he would move my car, then he got out of my car and just pointed at the second guy, then to me and after about 30 seconds of ackward silence, he said I needed to come inside before I left. The first guy, myself and my friend go inside and this poor guy looked and acted very awkward. After a few mins ( I assumed they were gonna printnout what I actually needed because he was looking at his computer) he said umm Im sorry but I have to charge you. I figured that was fair but was thinking just a fraction of the cost. I said ok, grabbed for my wallet and asked what the damage was. He left...came back looking upset and eyes down to the ground when he muttered...$117.00. They had my car less than 30 mins and still tried to charge me the full price. I explained that I didnt think that was good business or correct. He bolted and a few mins later the second guy came in...with his phone out. He says we worked on your car, we cant help you bought thw wrong part and youre paying the full amount. I was confused because the first guy was so nice and this guy came in with full attitude. I again tried to explain how I didnt think it was fair to charge me full price for a job not done. I told him I was happy to pay for their time of looking at my car but was not paying full price. He starts shoving his phone at me showing me pictures of my car. He was trying to justify the full charge, so I cut him off and askes him to wait a moment. I then called my boyfriend and asked for the guy to speak to him. After speaking to hom for less than a minute, he offered him a discount on charges. So if you are a female going in face to face, they try to intimidate you and force you to pay for a job not done. If a guy gets on the phone or face to face, Im sure you wont have a problem. I pointed this out to him and he had nothing to say in his defense. I will NEVER go back. Shame on them for being sexist.

At the beginning we thought they were great because of their fair prices. But boy were we wrong. Everything they supposedly fixed on our vehicles is all still broken. We have spent thousands of dollars with them on our 3 vehicles. My husbands car is still running hot, the AC in his truck still works off and on and the brake job I got with them on my vehicle was a joke. Don’t waist your money with this shop! People work hard for their money only to be robbed!

Very unprofessional, I was told to call 2 days early so they could order my parts. I called 5 days early and they told me they would have them. I go Saturday morning, my only day off and wait patiently as they open which they were late by the way. I am told that my parts werent ordered and to come back Monday. No apology or anything, I will not be doing business with them anymore.

Rude guy behind counter and barely talks or answers questions.took truck in for a simple inspection and he left it running for 50 mins while he talked on the phone.these people are unprofessional and I dont recommend this place to my worst enemy.also took my wifes car for a oil change last year and dropped it off and they opened center console and glove box digging thru stuff I guess they were looking for stuff to steal.and no there wasnt a wait time for inspections I was first up.but 50 mins of the guy talking on the phone made me mad.said he was giving estimates

I went to get an inspection and was told I couldn’t get one because their computer wasn’t reading my car and that I could come back and pay $65.00 to have them look at it to see what’s wrong, thought that was wrong so took it to another inspection and in less then ten minutes they came back and said I passed, so these guys tried to scam me, would not go there!!!!!
