DO use this discount tire save yourself some time go to the Discount tire on SE 14th St. They arent full of excuses and there Staff was great.If I could leave them a Zero star I would.Staff was rude, the manager laughed at me, and was full of excuses this location almost got me to quit going to discount tire.

Had a great experience at discount tire in Altoona this morning. Bryan at the register was very kind and knowledgeable helping me look through tire options and prices. Was in and out the door in under 45 minutes with a new set of tires, as well as a free patch job. Setting an appointment online is easy and works great. Will come back for my next set of tires

Excellent service. Out of town travelers headed home and needed a tire fixed. The gentleman who waited on us was friendly, down to earth super helpful. The service was super fast, in fact they were done before we got done with our breakfast !!! Thank you guys for the fast friendly service, if we were locals we would be using you ALL the time!

The initial experience was good. My wife and I got (4) new tires which we was told were covered under the 50,000 mile warranty. We got the tires on October 31st 2020 and only put maybe 9,000 miles on the tires. We had an issue with one of the tires and they told my wife that it would be covered under warranty and they ordered the tire. She went in today and they swapped off the tire and then charged her $75.00 and said that it wasnt covered after the tire was already on. They told her that they could put the tire with issues back on knowing that its bad instead of honoring the warranty. I work in the service industry and this kind of service is unacceptable. I will never ever again buy my tires from Discount Tires. Not only that but I will make sure anyone I know needing tires will not get referred to Discount Tires. This is some cheap shifty garbage and you need to change your business practices.

Had tire replaced 9/9/21 due to no repairable my wife sat and waited when she left tire light was still on went back and they told her it need to be driven 15 min to be reset. Went to pick pick my camper up in ottumwa which is 90 min away did t reset called and told me to bring in they will take a look at my convenience. Cause we were going camping for the weekend brought back on Monday 9/13/21. Drove all weekend pulled my camper to colo and back did t reset. Drove to work Monday reset but said new tire was 38 lbs. Stopped at discount tire they checked pressure and sure enough only 40lbs and should have been 80 lbs. not sure how this was able to leave shop in this condition and had to have tire pressure sensor replaced also cause it was damaged as well!

I had my tire censor replaced in my tire and they were very prompt on getting the job done. Amos and Bryan are incredible!!!!! They had the greatest customer service and a lot of fun to talk too. Great job to Amos, Bryan and the staff……You guys ROCK!!!!!

Called and scheduled an appointment but was never put in the computer. When I showed up I was told Id have to wait 2 hours while with my new born baby. While the gentlemen was friendly, I feel like they should have tried to get me in sooner since they were responsible for not getting my appointment in the system.

LOOOOOng wait for walk-in tire repair. Was there for nearly 2.5 hours Wednesday to repair roofing nail some roofers must have left in the street. Id be frustrated if it werent for the repair being free.

I have stock hub covers on my truck, when the new tire was put on, the cover wasnt put on all the way. Lost it.I let them know as soon as I found out. They removed the other side to make sure they ordered the right one. They said they would take of it. Drove out of their parking lot took one left, one right, then PING. The one they took off to look at, flew off. I found it after work, showed them that it looks like neither one was put on all the way. They took care of me.

I received a quote from Sams club for a set of tires. They requested I order the tires, have them shipped to their store, (5-10 days) and then Sams would call when they had an opening.I didnt care much for the non existent customer service, so I called Discount tire for a quote. Discount Tire was actually less expensive for same tire and all I had to do was drop off and pick up. They actually called to say they found a better tire for the same money! In and out in a couple of hours. I appreciate the excellent customer service and cost!

Ive done business with this place on several occasions. Their prices have generally been comparable to other shops and the service has always been good, until today. I wont be going back. One of the worst customer service experiences Ive ever had! Long story short, called ahead and was told I could drop my car off as a walk-in, took off from work and when I got there was told that they wouldnt be getting me in today at all! Complete waste of my time!

Not impressed. When I called to make the appointment for all new tires I was assured the lobby was set up with social distancing in place, but while I was there they helped multiple people without masks on. Never asked them to put a mask on, just allowed them inside to wait with other customers (some elderly) who actually want to socially distance with masks. Then I was assured my new tires were at 38 like they’re supposed to be, but after driving for awhile they never went above 33 and my flat tire light was on. The employees didn’t leave my keys in the car and I didn’t notice (spare key in my purse allowed the car to start) so I went home, was called to come back and get the forgotten keys (I had a babysitter so I could even go to the initial appointment). So i go back to get the keys and tell them about my tire pressure being low and was told to pull up to the tire pressure checkpoint and someone would help me. I waited there for over 15 minutes and nobody came to help me or even acknowledge me so I just left. Spent nearly $600 and regret every bit of it. Won’t be going back.

Super friendly staff. They didn’t have the set of tires I wanted in stock, so they ordered them and they arrived the next day. They were very careful with my rims taking off the lug nuts and installing the tire. Prices are great as well. Highly recommend.

I usually order online and schedule appointment. Its a very easy process. They are usually busy so appointment time can run long its usually a 1- 1 1/2 hour wait time . Its a easy process with there tire certificates. Really is a no questions asked tire replacement.

I had an awesome experience. I selected and paid for my tires, and scheduled an appointment online before I arrived. The whole installation process went smoothly and I was out in just over an hour. The guy inside even found a $50 rebate for me on top of what was already the best price I found on Goodyear Wrangler Radial All Terrains. Ill be coming back here for sure.

Initially sold on Discount Tire up in Minnesota years ago as they repaired a flat tire for us while we were on a trip. Typical worst case scenario as it was nearly closing time and we (family with 2 small children) were even turned away from a competitor just moments before! The reps got us in right away and had us back on the road in 15 minutes. Skip forward 4 years and out of loyalty, we only use Discount Tire for all of our vehicles (including ATVs) and their service has been awesome. Its refreshing to see a national organization practice small business practices: In/out in under an hour, friendly, knowledgeable staff and fair pricing is a winning combination. Keep it up!

They took me care of all my tire problems right away like pros

Waiting area is clean and socially distanced for those waiting. Clean bathrooms. Staff is always super friendly and helpful whenever Im here, they even took my tore to my car for me. Would pay a little more per tire here than deal with walmart.

Service was quick. Definitely double check their work before driving off. I discovered my left lug nut cover was missing the day after getting that tire replaced. A week later i noticed the other hubcap was not secure.

Perfect. I bought tires online on the Discount Tire website. Got a call to set an appointment. When I arrived, literally within 10 seconds of walking in the door, someone asked if I was here for the appointment. No hassle, got it done, in and out in about 40 minutes. How it should be.

A few new dings on the rims, but that is what happens when people work fast. Honestly i was a bit terrified by the pace of the workers. Long hours at such a fast pace could easily lead to human exhaustion and inevitable mistakes. Even so, discount tires service is very good. The tires are at a fair or market price. Friendliest people ever. They explain everything very well. My concern with Discount Tire is something being broken while dismounting the tires from the rims or rims being banged up or lug nuts over torqued. But service is fast, and so far as i know; tires havent fell off after being serviced here. Also i like their free tire balance and rotation service.

The gave me two front tires way to big. Was very bumpy. Had to come back then they made us wait. I hope they take care of eldery later.

I purchased a set of tires at this business yesterday and was very happy with the overall experience. I made an appointment online in advance which was very easy and convenient, but even people without appointments were able to walk in and quickly get service. The employees of the store were very professional and courteous. Bryan explained all of the different tire options to me in a way that was easy to understand and was not condescending or patronizing all and allowed me to make my selection. No one pressured me into buying a more expensive set of tires than I was comfortable with. The store is clean and is comfortable to wait in while your car is being serviced. I highly recommend this store and plan to use them in the future.

I was just in the Altoona location. They told me my tire was no good and all they had was a new tire. Which I would have loved to be able to get a new tire, but didn’t have the money to do so at this time. So I left and went somewhere else, where they told me my tire was fine just came off the bead. I’m so disappointed in Discount tire rite now. Especially around the holidays. 😞

I had a horrendous experience at the Merle Hay location and after speaking to a VP at the corporate office, I was sent to the Altoona location to receive better assistance. Not only did they provide customer service above exception during a very busy time for them, but they were also VERY respectful and time-efficient. The GM constantly gave me updates throughout the process and made sure I had no questions about anything. I have nothing bad to say about this location and highly recommend them. Although this location is the furthest of all of them in the metro from my home, I will definitely bring my business back. I have strong connections in the metro and constantly refer people, you will definitely be getting referrals from me . Thank you !

Discount Tire in Altoona had great customer service! Very accommodating and able to fit me in on a Saturday, late in the afternoon. Luckily they were able to patch the two areas where I had screws in my tire. I’ll will definitely be back when I’m ready for new tires. Thanks Andrew!

Had a rear tire blow out and was looking for a place to dismount and mount my new tires i purchased back on my original factory rims which i was nervous as heck to have done considering the condition and rarity of them on my 99 Anniversary Firebird which is completely unaltered and stock. Talked with Amos and was very helpful and understanding of my precious rims and said they could do it without damaging them so i bring it in and Andrew examined them and said he would personally change them himself. Not only was he very polite,understanding and helpful through out the mounting and balancing procedure of my wheels and tires,he took great stride and respect as they were is own and when completed,all four wheels and rims were the same as i brought them him,PERFECT! He even showed me after the first rim he mounted. It brought great relief to me knowing someone actually cares as much as myself and i tremendously appreciate Andrews first class service and handling,very professional and i would highly recommend him if you are as i was on the fence about changing your tires and specialty rims without damage to contact Discount Tire and ask for him. Very quick!! Popped in to have 1 tire mounted. Didnt have the cheapest one in stock that I wanted, but made adjustment and quickly wrote things up and tire dude had quickly installed tire on rim!! It was Saturday afternoon and they were busy. I had an old tire going flat and 2 front tires low on tread. They only had 2 of the tires I wanted but said they would repair the flat one and rotate it and its mate to the front then put the 2 new ones in the back. It would take 1 1/2 hours.My wife and I went to a nearby restaurant and ate then came back. My old tire was not repairable but instead of leaving one of my old bald tires on they had installed a loaner tire and just need me to come back at my leasure so they can swap it for the one I wanted. If they had had all the tires that I needed in the 1st place I would have given them 5 stars, But this was still really good customer service.

I recently visited this past weekend. I was blown away by their customer service. Andrew went above and beyond from what I expected from a commercial tire shop. Great tires, no problem there. Bought new rims at the same time only to have all of the clear coat start peeling off, took back and they said the factory would not warranty them because they were 2 months out of warranty. I take excellent care of my stuff and they could see that but still would not warranty the rims. Will not go back.

Absolutely outstanding customer service. I was 4 hours into a road trip and found a nail on I35, and these guys ordered my tires for me, had them there in 45 minutes and mounted and balanced on the car in another 30. They even got my TPMS light to shut off, which I assumed was due to a bad sensor. Also, they were super understanding and allowed us to crate and take our pet hedgehog into the lobby while they worked so he wasn’t scared. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!
