Friendly customer service, but they seemed a little unsure of what they were doing. I traded in my car a few weeks back, and they didnt even know I was trading it in, until about an hour into the trade. Car salesmen usually ask you right away if its a trade. They told us we had to wait, until the insurance company told them the new car was insured, telling us it was a law. We found out later its not a law. Insurance companies give about 2 weeks for the customer to insure it after the purchase. They replaced my new cars tires, and did NOT re-set the tire sensors, they didnt re-charge the air conditioner (which cost me a LOT to get taken care of), they didnt change the blatantly expired oil, and they didnt even replace the worn out wiper blades. They have potential to be great, but they need to work on themselves. Until then, 2 stars. I will not be returning with future purchases.

STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!!very unprofessional and risky. broke two contracts while trying to finance a car, then sold it from under me without telling me, then blamed it on someone else at another dealer. i had a signed form from the GM saying that i put my nonpayment down, and that if no one came and bought it that day, that it would be mine the next. (red flags there.) then the next day comes, i call and they sold it 9am that morning. disregarding the verbal contract AND the general managers signature on the paper. DO NOT GO HERE AT ALL

Took my nephew here so he could get a car to drive to work. The staff was great. Theyre last test drive is supposed to be 6:30 but we called and told them we couldnt be there until almost 7. So they waited for us and had the car pulled up and ready to go. They didnt give me too much push back when i asked to knock $200 of the sticker price. Plus, they took care of registration and title work. And had us out of there quickly.

The sales staff were great and did not confront us with high pressure buy today tactics.

Hopefully this experience I’m about to express will help another consumer avoid being treated with complete lack of care.Found a vehicle I liked. Reached out to confirm it’s availability and was greeted very kindly and assured the vehicle in question was indeed available. After a few emails to gather information and prepare for a purchase, I asked how quickly we could be in and out of the dealership, knowing the process and how long it can take. Plus the dealership is a minimum one hour drive for me. I was told they could knock the credit part of the process out so that all we’d need to do is complete paperwork. So, I complied and offered all my credit and financial information. Immediately, I was approved. I then advised I’d be on my way shortly and asked if they required anything more from me to bring to them. Then it all went to hell! It was basically, “oops, that vehicle is no longer available”. Go figure! Surely i wasn’t at all pleased and allowed them to propose another vehicle. It was nowhere near the same features as what I wanted. Then, they come back with one almost exact. Perfect!! That was my reply. Just had to wait for a “quick” call to confirm it was indeed on the lot. 2 hours later and 2 additional email inquiries from me, and it was crickets!! So, bait and switch didn’t work. Then hanging out the proverbial carrot failed on their end too. And not so much as common courtesy. Things happen and I understand IF this was all true but ignoring a sure sale customer is piss poor business to say the least. Onto the next dealer I guess.

Bought a van here for a very good price. Worked with Jake, Tim, and Sal. All were very professional. There was some confusion about a add on plan that I was not interested in, and they quickly and courteously redid all the paperwork to accommodate me. I saw the van before they were finished servicing it. It had a previous repair from an accident- which I was fully aware of- and when I spotted a flaw in the last peoples repair work, they happily had it corrected for no charge, or increase in price, by the time I came back to pick it up. I am very happy with my purchase, and the experience I had.

I very rarely ever rate anything online, but this time I feel I just need to. I secured a loan from People First C.U. in Allentown and was ready to buy a car.Thursday Evening:Go to Penn Auto Group and test drive a car. I like it and tell them that I want to buy it. I already had approval for the loan so just need the bill of sales agreement. So, they write it up and they said people first will let us know and we will be in touch to finish the sale.Friday Morning:Contact People First to give them the sales agreement and told by the associate that they were sorry and cannot give me the loan IF I buy it.from this dealership. So, now certainly suspicious that a reputable bank in Allentown will not give me a loan for an Allentown dealer. I call Penn Auto and explain this and they said they would get back to me.Friday Afternoon:Glenn(a finance guy), from the parent organization calls me to say the previous owners stiffed People First out of titles years ago so that was the reason. Apparently used to be Singh Auto World and now a guy named Singh owns the business so it is just a coincidence. I told him that I still want the car but need a little time to get another loan approval from a different bank. So, I wanted to make sure I can still get it. He said no problem and it will be held for me.Monday Morning:Call Penn and tell them I already secured a different loan from a different bank(one that did not have Penn Auto on the banned list of course) and want to make an appointment to get the car. Lady said: Sorry, we sold itObviously I was not happy, so asked to speak with the finance guy. They transfer me to again what I believe is the Star Auto HQ and talk to a gentleman who listened to my story. He said that Glenn would definitely call me back and he was on the phone with another customer.5 days later and still ghosted by Glenn and pretty sure nobody wants to take responsibility for any of this.So, what did I do wrong? Got a loan from a bank on their banned list! Looks like going to the Star Auto Family is what I did wrong. Drove over an hour to come see a van that that they said would only be available on Black Friday to see and not before and was sold on Wednesday they told us after we got there. The dealership did not even both calling to inform us. We got there first thing in the morning and told us maybe we can find something else for you. No ! We drove all this way to to see that van. When asking them why they didn’t call us they had no answers. I guess they were to busy.We will never go back !

Bait and switch tactics. Inquired about a car, 3 text messages (one from the Manager Doug) 4 emails (one also from Manager Doug) car is still available, just come in. Set appointment, drive the hour + get there and told that car has already been sold but shown other cars. Ask about one of the cars we where just shown on screen, wed like to see. Conveniently it needs to be fixed, dont know whats wrong with it but asked over and over if wed be interested in the Eclipse the sales person just happened to have the keys for when we walked in and she personally had moved and thought was nice. Never again would I deal with the people.

1 start........... on 04/05/19 I bought A 2013 BMW X3, and on 04/09/19 the check engine light went on, I took my car to the dealer, they told me that they would turn off the check engine light, but this is the date 05/10/19 that they could not turn off the light of the check engine, they told me that if the car had a problem before three days of purchase they can change my car but have to be mechanical, but as the light of the check engine turned on after 4 days, They did not want to change my car, they just told me that I have to trade in my car and pay $3500 for down payment. REALLY< OH NOOOOO I CAN WITH THIS CAR, I HAVE ONE MONTH WITH THE CAR AND ONLY BEEN IN MY HAND FEW DAYS!!!!!!! TRASHHHHHH

I scheduled an appointment to look at a Chevy impala but when I got there it was sold. One of the sales reps Tim was very helpful in trying to find me another vehicle. I asked about the Jettas he had with no hassle at all he was ready to get me going. By no fault of his I was unable to purchase it. Though I will say when they say theyll work with you and your budget they will pull EVERY string to help get you the car you wan . My budget was 250/mo prices ranged from 275 to around 320 because of the banks but they went to bat for me and got me all the way down to 257.25/mo. Sure it wasnt what I wanted but it was the closest they could get it and if I had more for a downpayment it probably wouldve come out to less than what I was expecting to pay. Regarless if youre in the market for a reliable and good looking used car Penn Auto Group should be the first place you check out. They arent like other car dealers because they have your back when it comes to getting the most bang for your buck!

I came here in hopes of getting a car I found on TrueCar.com, to only wait about an hour at best to be told the car I saw had been sold to someone else (or at the very least that is what it sounded like).Aside minor issues, it was super hard at first, deciding on another car to get since I was set on the one I found over the internet but these guys were very quick to find another car that spoke to me and remained blue like I had hoped! They were also very patient and super helpful!At least, as a first time car buyer, they were great. Only thing that sucked was the wait and on how soon I could get a car (aside personal matters haha) but otherwise, everyone was understanding, and kept me company throughout the process. Would definitely refer this to anyone looking for a cheap and reliable car.

This dealership took my recently purchased vehicle in 2 times to service a cold start misfire that was never disclosed when I bought the car. 5 days in total. They would never communicate how they were progressing. Called 3 times on the 5 the day and they still would not call back. I finally called my salesman who said he would get back to me. Never did! Finally I got a call at 5 pm. and was told they had it fixed. At time of purchase they told me the car had been involved with such a minor accident that no details of damage were available. After buying it I found that the car had been partially repainted and had a damaged wheel and mud flap. I had to pay for all this out of my own pocket, more than a $1,000. If you are going to buy there be prepared to buy the extended warranty plan, very costly, but maybe it is needed with their operating parameters they impose on a buyer. After 30 days you are S.O.L.

Went there not really looking to buy a car but left with a really nice car, at a really good price! Junior helped me out and was helpful/understanding. The car is in good condition and so far no complaints!

Victor otero did a great job helping my dad & I get a SUV for the winter. Our old truck broke down and he was quick to find us something with all wheel drive that runs smooth and it comfortable. The SUV drives great especially in rain and snow.

Very kind people with a terrible agenda. Everything was working out great the price was good the car ran great during the test drive. Later we find out the we didn’t purchase the car for the lowered sticker price but for the original with an added of almost $11,000. Car was supposed to be purchased for $17,440. Car was actually $18,600 and then come to notice they’re saying we owe $29,000 for this car. And on top of that I purchased this car last Monday(it’s now the following Sunday) and my transmission is slipping and I have little to no power to my gears barely made it home!!!! None of this was disclosed to me that there could have been issues with the vehicle I’m assuming because they simply do not care about their customers or their safety. Do not ever go to these people if you’re in the market for a vehicle they will talk nice but stab you in the back.

Long wait!!I had a leak in rear end of a a jeep I purchased from stay Auto mall in Stewartsville nj they are the warranty repair for them. It took two weeks to get back. It started to leak again in two months they had it for another week to replace rear end again. Now it leaks again. It needs to be replaced for third time.

My Son purchased a 2017 Ford Focus ST 5/26/20 it been almost a month and still no call back from there service department about noise coming from underneath vehicle , I guess they realized that they sold my son a vehicle that was supposed to have a clean carfax but wasn’t clean at all , according to the Ford dealership that we went to they said that the vehicle has after market parts on the front end of the vehicle and has signs of other damage , and we found proof that there was after market parts purchased by Star Auto Mall which is part of Penn Auto Group , so maybe that’s why they are not calling me back , and we still haven’t received any paperwork that we signed during the purchase process, I’ve called 3 times and still no call back ! Can’t believe that these people have a clear conscience for the vehicle’s they are selling .

Bought a Touareg that ended up not starting again on my way home to Virginia. Cost me $550 to tow the rest of the way home. Still waiting for the dealership to reimburse me for the tow. The most helpful person I’ve dealt with was Lauren, their customer service advocate. The management obviously could care less about the experience of the customer. 3.9 stars out of 5 is far more generous than they deserve. Willing to change this if they finally reimburse me for the tow.

I went to this place for an inspection for my car and I had made sure that my car was up to date as far as brakes, tires, oil change everything was great. They did not pass me because I did not have a license plate light. I will not be returning to this place of business and neither will I recommend it to anyone that I know. Ridiculous!

I am highly disgusted with this dealership! I bought a car from Penn auto group a couple of years ago. Within a few months Ithad a problem with the alternator they replaced it free of charge. Then i was having electrical problems with the dash. Dealt with it. A year after the first problem with the alternator gave out guess what the new alternator gave out. So i took it in and dont know why went home with not 1 but 2 cars. Fast forward to 2019 another year and a half later thank god knock on wood, no issues, BUT, my wife took my daughter to purchase a car from them and it has been a nightmare! Car half the time doesnt start. Think it has something to do with the remote start. Keep calling the dealer and my wife and daughter keep getting the run around with them. Planning on looking elsewhere for a car in the future.
