AMAZING vegan options! I couldn’t even believe it was vegan, it was so creamy and the flavors were delicious - we had the vegan Chocolate, Mocha and Pistachio and they were all truly delightful and very authentic tasting. Love this place, would definitely recommend trying if you’re vegan and miss good gelato/ice cream!

Wonderful wonderful... all the flavors seemed like a good choice. Sadly I had to pick one. Service is fast and pleasant and there is seating indoors or outside. There is limited parking and there are restrooms here if you are a customer. Excellent!

Delicious little hidden gelateria! They give you a generous helping of gelato even in the small size. Tried the Crema Rusa and Dark Chocolate which were both great but the winner was definitely the Tiramisu!

I finally made it here! So, I can’t eat regular gelato, so I am always excited when I find a place with a vegan option. I found this place online and couldn’t wait to try it. Well, it was worth the wait!!!! I had the vegan vanilla and the vegan pistachio. Both flavors were good; however, the pistachio was hands-down thee best!!! I went yesterday and will definitely be going back again by the weekend. This is a great little spot.

Hands down the best mint chocolate chip Ive ever had!

Disappointed. The Lemon Creme was very bitter that we couldnt finish it. Tasted as if they blended in the seeds and rind, which made it terrible. The Banana Strawberry was okay but the Pistachio was great, almost made the trip worth it. Almost.

Gelato here is awesome! Got the Dark Chocolate in a small cup and it was more than enough, so think twice before ordering a large.Overall a great little shop and hidden gem right off King St.

Among the better gelato places Ive been to in the U.S. All gelato is made on site. The menu rotates so even if by chance your fave flavor isnt available, there are other new flavors to try!

Well their gelato is amazing, I’ll give them that. I haven’t had hazelnut gelato that good in years, plus the walnut port wine gelato...mmmm! Buuuut it’s so small! It was raining when we came and we kind of had to stand around because their 4 small tables were taken.

Delicious Gelato made by a Chemical Engineer!!! This stuff is great - they have inventive and novel flavors and they even have delicious homemade sugar free gelato - I believe it is low-carb but dont quote me. Heads up if you do go for the sugar free, it is already packaged in their large size cup and freezes a bit hard (like pretty much every other sugar free ice cream). Just give it some time to soften, and you wont be disappointed!

Favorite place to get ice cream in Alexandria

Ive been coming here for a couple of years since they first opened. Argentinian gelato and ice cream was a new thing for me. Old Town is lucky to have many good ice cream places and this one is my favorite. Although its an occasional item, their elderflower is fabulous.

Why review a place with such great ratings? Places like these deserve the time to verify that their product is just that wonderful. Due to COVID there was a great store-side ordering window/pickup. It reminded me of older times and it really set the tone for my transaction. The young woman greeted me and answered all my questions including my favorite what would you recommend. I ended up with a refreshing mango sorbet and an enriching yet smooth caramel option. Both were spot on. The tastes were fresh, I didnt get the mouth or pallette feel of fake ingredients which really took my taste buds on a great journey between the two flavors (not mixed of course). I will definitely return and highly recommend this great treat and service.

This place is open and still serving fantastic gelato. This was our go to when we lived in Alexandria and now that we’re out of state, we make it a tradition to visit every time we are back!! Best gelato hands down!

We wanted to do something unique for our wedding so we went with Casa Rosada Artisan Gelato to serve to our guests. Our guests are still raving how delicious each flavor was. They were very welcoming, easy to communicate with, and accommodating. We highly recommend using Casa Rosada to give your catered event a special treat or at the very least visiting their location to try all the delicious flavors!

This is a little gem we had no idea existed before last light. Tucked away on a side street just off King, it serves up at least 10 flavors of gelato as well as a small assortment of cookies and coffee. Staff was very friendly, and kind to my 6yo daughter. They have the cutest little back patio fenced in that allows dogs. Ill definitely be going back!

There is a fine art to really, really good gelato and ice cream. Their gelato is out of this world.But what really sets them apart is their dairy free (vegan) gelato. Just as good as the real thing. (Really). Best dairy free ice cream gelato in this region without a doubt.

Delicious house made gelato and sorbet. Service was very friendly and patient. The majority of flavors are egg free and they had an allergy menu. The place is quaint with indoor and outdoor seating. Prices are similar to other shops in the neighborhood. In this case the quality matches the price.

Let me start off by saying this place is so good! The flavors feel like your eating right off the tea fruit. Not to sweet and not to bitter. Definitely coming back!

One of the best ice-cream places in the area. We got their punch card on our first visit and have been punching away... If you have little kids, you might want to know that they dont serve regular toppings like sprinkles etc.. Its all just really good quality ice-cream with some unique offerings in flavors, just to keep you on your toes.

One of the better Gelato places in the Old Town area. Good size portions, variety of different flavors from classics to bacon bourbon and so on. Parking is relatively easy to find.

My husband and I finally went here after hearing about it from another lady in the area. There is a wide variety of flavors and the staff are very friendly. The pistachio is the best weve had! I also loved the pineapple sorbet - very refreshing. This will be our go-to this summer!

Casa Rosada deserves more attention as they are the best ice cream/ gelato shop in the DMV area! All gelato is made in the shop and they have many unique flavors that cant be found elsewhere. Sadly I could only pick two for my cup but I would definitely go back to try other special flavors they have!
