Global food had been one of the best Grocery store for international food in the past 5 years, but unfortunately, it was not able to catch up with its competitors. Anyway, Thank you for the good time.

I have been a loyal customer since they opened. I shop almost every week...today, i went there, got some groceries, and at the end, i asked for 2 dollars quarters from the front cashier , with rude expression and voice said no, we dont give quarters Well, that is my last time to shop from this place. trader Joes and lidle have a much better quality and decent prices than this garbage place.Cheap quality and rude customer service wont last for long. Bye bye

I like getting my Halal meat here but the cashiers are so rude ! they proceed to talk in their languages to each other and they don’t even acknowledge that I’m there they don’t actually exercise no kind of manners whatsoever… also they’ll start talking in their language to the person that is behind me which is very rude as well. I just put in a complaint to the manager tonight because I’m sick of it

I go to this store in a pinch when I need international ingredients for a dish. To be honest, it is MUCH more of a Mexican/Latin grocery store than a true global grocery. There are more Mexican aisles than Indians or Asian combined. I just stopped in and there were virtually no Asian snacks or tea to speak of. So if youre looking for something more Asian-heavy, absolutely go to H Mart instead. The one in Fairfax is a half hour drive from Alexandria, but definitely worth making a large occasional trip.

Very well equipped grocery shop.. Specially for vegetables & fruits.

The veggie selection is phenomenal, the seafood selection, the noodles, the rice, the bread...this place is an international delight.

Huge store..personally I like it... you can finf every types of foods... there is a Moroccan food and also kitchen stuff... tajine.. couscous maker... dishes... everythings.. its a nice store to visit.. for fast shopping also... its better than the one in Manassas... prices are good alsoo...

They have many of the foods me and my family enjoy and the prices are fair too. The people working on the counter are very friendly.

Area can be congested at times and the parking can be confusing since it’s in the same area as multiple apartment complexes

Its called global for a reason, they have food from most different countries around the world and Im happy about that. You can find almost anything youre looking authentic products, including fresh seafood, halal meat....The prices are OK but it is better than flying to or ordering from other countries plus shipping... I will continue to go here for sure.

If there is a 0 star, I would have rated 0. I was at this store yesterday July 21st, 2019. I wanted to buy creame cheese and noticed a spoiled American cheese on the dairy section. I took it to the customer service desk and asked for the supervisor but the young guy who was working at the cashier register said that the supervisor was not available. This is a serious health issue and the management should do its diligent to remove all the expired food products from being sold to the public.

Im from the caribbean and being in Virginia there isnt much or no variety but at this place theres a few grace products which i love

Asian, Latino, and Middle Eastern products in one place. Some of the things I was looking for and was able to find here: Peruvian Aji sauce, Turkish cheese, Moroccan olives, cherimoya (apple custard fruit - very hard to find), peanut puffs from Serbia, Indian papri chat, Chinese sweet bean paste (not the hot one though), frozen parathas and boreks as well as Turkish filo dough (yufka) to bake your own. They have tons of spices, and tea varieties. Their bread selection includes everything Mexian plus injera and lavash. Its a clean place with reasonable prices. Not much vegetarian fake meat options other than common Morning Star items.

Tidy place. Good staff. They have everything for immediate use. Halal meat is available which is a plus for alot of the community living nearby. Prices are a bit higher than normal.

Staff FREQUENTLY do not wear masks or wear them improperly (nose out, etc.). My last visit (and final to this store) I witnessed a staff member restocking produce with the chin strap mask not even covering his mouth, directly across from a masked elderly woman.Its almost a year into this pandemic - this is inexcusable. If you want a safe environment during Covid, dont go here.

Sometimes do grocery shopping here, never ever the cashiers and associates greeting to customers and the prices are much expensive than nearby grocery stores!!

Good variety of international groceries but overpriced The one star comes from awful customer service and racial profiling. Owners are very rude and disrespectful. Maybe its a cultural thing but im not used to that nor will i ever condone it. Most of the staff and the owners do not speak english and do not greet or say ANYTHING to you while checking out. Its very akward as i always speak to them and they just look at me all crazy. They are very convenient to where i live but ill drive the extra 10-15 min where my dollar is valued vs patronizing this establishment.

I find that Global Food has most Ingredients I can think of for cuisines world-wide in one single place. Awesome selection of vegetables. You can get here stuff you normally don’t find in any normal grocery store and have a better selection than my normal Latino grocery stores in DC.

Staff doesnt speak good english and not knowledgeable about items selection or Price

The owner badly treated me after I asked him wholesale box purchases of tomato, milk and other items. Asked him again if he does business by giving little discount ... $2-3 dollars per box...he shouted that he doesnt care...i simply picked one box tomato and dozen of sauces...paid at pos what they charged me and left. I never had bad experience in a store line this.

They have a variety of Latin products, but you have to be careful with the prices, for example a pot of nest milk is at $ 18 and Amazon is $ 13

Yesterday evening, I purchased some groceries plus the milk. The milk is totally expired however the date is till June 20. Please please never buy it. I hope my child won’t be sick of it. He is the one who drank it.

Just moved here from Montgomery county Maryland and I was happy to see Global Food was just a mile and a half away from where I live. The one in Maryland was bought and replaced by Leidos. They have things from my African country and goat meat. Only downside is I was talking to the cashier for a good 5 minutes and receive no response from her until I realized from the grocery bagger that the cashier didn’t speak nor understood English. Also, here they charge tax in Maryland it was tax free.

They have a good verity of halal meat and a large selection of sea food. Fresh produce and meat. I have been to a few halal meat places where the meat smells funky. This place has fresh meat. Good place for you to go check out for your self.

This is the place to go international specialty items. I found a lot of seasonings here that I dont see in other stores. Other stores intl sections are getting better though, so glob foods doesnt stand out as much. They dont take amex, that will keep me from going here for more things.

Bite your tongue, Ryan. This place is perfect for us. Were a couple who enjoy cooking with exotic ingredients and this is the place we can find them. There used to be a Giant in this store that had a limited selection of food and low quality produce. This place is so much better. They cram the cuisines of at least 8 different cultures into the place. The shelves are high and loaded with goodies. They have Korean and Japanese specialties, but also South Asian, Chinese and Thai. I was happy to see Middle Eastern food in here, like figs and dates. Also baklava. Dont pass this place up!

Wide selection of international products but theyre not consistent with their supply.. We found a particular pastry dough that we liked.. Looked for it on three separate trips and couldnt find it.. Still a terrific place.. A little pricey though

Hi everyone, today I’m going to share my shopping experience with this Global food store. Which made me very disappointed and I will never come back to this store again. I Went to this store shopping groceries, this girl I couldnt remember her name she was a rude, a racist, helpless, and a terrible cashier I have ever seen. she wasn’t only rude with me, but with another customer as well. she was a different person you would think she come in from another planet to the earth. Lol...I don’t know how this type of people gets haired. I recommend the manager to well trained your cashier how to have a good customer service attitude before you send them being a cashier.Thanks,

Its nice to go here for convenience but prices are not good. They have a huge selection of interest national foods which is cool if you are interested in those foods. Dont go here for American fare.. the selection for typical groceries is very low.

Good selection of produce and international foods. Produce bought at this store can spoil very quickly. I especially found fruit to vary in taste than what Im used to.

I have visited this grocery store on multiple occasions. They have a huge variety of international food items. Prices for vegetables and fruits are very competitive. However, the store is usually in a major mess as if itbwere hit by a cyclone. There is this bad odor in certain parts of the store which makes you question health and hygiene standards. The cashiers are nice but always busy talking to each other making you wonder if they are talking about you.

I love my Global Food. The prices are great. And the fruits and vegetables are always fresh-they stay fresh longer than produce you can buy from Safeway, Shoppers, or Giant.

Cleaner and organized than before. The fish market also improved and worth checking out if you cant stop by the marina.
