Excellent service at reasonable prices. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and honest. I have a 30 year old Subaru that they did a ton of front suspension work on 7 months ago and the car is still handling rock solid and smooth. I also have a heavily modified and tuned WRX that they did great maintenance work on. Though they cannot work on tuning related issues, they are great for the basics. Highly recommend.

I hope you have a good mechanic if you are going to use this mechanic. My sons car was brought in for a check up before a friend was going to purchase it and it ran great. When it was returned there were multiple issues with the electrical system. When we asked what they may have caused the problem the response was that there was no way it was their fault and not to accuse them, which we werent doing. We are very disappointed with this process and would not recommend anyone come here.

I won’t take my Japanese car(s) anywhere else nor will I recommend any other shop. I’ve been to every other shop in the City and haven’t had the level of trust I do with Car Care other than Hans Wittler’s (the European auto equivalent). I appreciate the honestly and integrity these guys seem to have. I’ll be back!

I recommend them. Very helpful people, great service and reliable. I also once in awhile need some minor examinations on my vehicle (battery check and air intake hose) and I believe on at least two occasions it was no charge. My vehicle always runs better after service and its noticeable.

I bought a high mileage 1997 Toyota 4Runner in August 2020. Not long after a check engine light came on for exhaust system. They fixed it. And then a few months ago after taking it off roading, there were horrible squeaks and groans coming from the front end. Fixed. Its like a new truck. These guys are fair on the labor costs, and Eric has no problem talking with you about your car as long as you want to talk, They treat us women with respect instead of acting like we know nothing about cars because some of us actually do know something about cars! I am so glad I decided to take my Toyota here. They have also worked on my husbands 99 4Runner. I totally trust these guys to do all of our car repairs from here on out!

After I found this place I said goodbye to the Honda dealership. With these guys there are no mistakes. They are reliable, HONEST and much more knowledgeable. Unfortunately at the dealership they have a lot of very young inexperienced mechanics and the turnover is quite high. Can’t help to notice that at this place it’s always the same mechanics that know their stuff. Highly recommend!!

This is THE place to take your import! One of the guys, Eric, has the same generation 4Runner as me and that man knows exactly whats wrong when I take it in. Ive very sure he could fix my 4Runner with a blindfold on and one hand tied behind his back.

My Honda Pilot had the engine light on, no-one seemed to know why. Finally I took it to Jason and his crew. They patiently went through all whole engine eliminating things and finally ended up not being that expensive. They could have told me it needed something really expensive like a whole set of fuel injectors ( As one dealership told me) I found the Japanese car care to be honest and reliable. i am so grateful.

Ben kept me updated on my cars status and was a pleasure to work with. The price was significantly less than the dealer and on par with other quality mechanics in town. I will be going back.

I have been taking my cars to this shop for years. They always give me honest opinions about the condition of the car, distinguishing things need to be fixed right away versus things that I just need to keep an eye on. They understand that if you take care of your customers, they will keep coming back. Theyre not getting rich, but they have the satisfaction of knowing that a lot of good cars are still running because of them, instead of being thrown on the scrap heap.

I Took my car here to get a pre-purchase inspection done and I am very glad I did! Both the seller and I knew the condition of the car was very good but I wanted to have it looked at anyway, just to be safe. Ben and his fantastic mechanics did a compression test on the car and found one of the cylinders was bad (which me and the seller could not have known). Nothing else was seriously wrong with the car but this information really saved my wife and I from buying a troublesome car. The staff was very nice and answered all my questions thoroughly!!

I am so happy I called Japanese Car Care! I thought I was going to have to get a new car after my engine siezed on my 2007 Lexus RX350. Lexus of Albuquerque said they stopped adding up the damage at $12,000.00 and my car was only worth $11,500.00 so I should just get a new car. I have taken my car to Lexus of Albuquerque for every scheduled maintenance and oil change, and the damage to my car could have been prevented by them. They would not take any responsibility for this since the part fell under the category of product improvement and not a recall. They were keeping an eye on it. Japanese Car Care did the whole job for about $8000.00! My car is running better than it has in a very long time. From now on I will be taking my car to them.

Ben is probably the most honest mechanic I have EVER met. I just went in because the dealership told me I needed new ball joints, shocks, struts and a steering rack. Ben checked it out and told me I didnt need any of that, all I needed was new tires and an alignment. So he basically gave me back 3000 dollars I was planning on spending. If thats not trust worthy I dont know what is. He also changed my differential and transfer case fluids which was recommended by the service manual. If you want a second opinion go there. Overall great shop, very trustworthy, I will be taking my Toyota to him only for now on.

The guys at Japanese Car Care did excellent work installing new struts, springs, and a lift kit on my subaru. Although they made sure to warn me that a lift kit is NOT something subarus are intended for, I was sure it was what I wanted and I had them go ahead with the project.They did a fantastic job on the install, even taking the time to grind parts down for a perfect fit, and did a great job communicating with me on their progress on the car while I was out of town for work.Although the job ran longer they expected, they kept the bill down within the range they quoted me, and gave me an extra alignment a few weeks later after things settled into place.The subie is running like a champ and I couldnt be more pleased with their work. Any future work I need will be done at this shop.

We have had our japanese and american cars serviced here. They are the most honest trustworthy mechanics I have ever met. After a dealer suggested major repairs, we brought the car to Japanese car care. They turned the car upside down and said we find nothing wrong with it. Sent us home free of charge, the engine light didnt turn on for 2 years!

I stopped by to get an oil change and they promptly took me in even after I found out that they work by appointment only. Great staff.

Good shop. Ben, the manager, is very friendly. The prices are a little steep but possibly worth it for the trustworthy service. The one thing I did not like was being charged an extra $50 on top of the alresdy high $80 for an allignment because of rusty tierod ends. In my opinion, when youre quoted a price, it should stay that price unless something catastrophic happens. Rusty tie rod end that took longer to adjust dont fall in that category.Update:After my alignment, I started hearing a weird pinging sound coming from the front end every time i braked or accelerated. After two weeks, it got worse and worse. I then got under the truck and notices one of the control arm bolts (used to adjust the alignment) was no more than finger tight. I tightened it before it completely loosened. I also began noticing the outside edges of tires were getting bald super quick. When i looked at my truck, I noticed the camber was way positive visually, meaning I was riding on the outside edges of my front tires. I was pretty upset to say the least especially after paying extra for the alignment to begin with.I planned on reducing my rating of 4 stars after this, but when i took the truck back to Ben, he got me right in and took care of the issue at no cost. I expected excuses or denial of responsibility for the problems but got none of that. They made a mistake and took care of it promptly so my rating remains at 4 stars.

Honest & cordial. Will bring future service needs to them.

We Take both our vehicles most recent visit our heater was not working well got an appointment three days from calling but I was asked to come in to do a quick look I had a leak in the coolant hose they added coolant and helped us to have heat till they could fix it.
