City Market was the best store in the San Luis Valley for several years., from about 2012 to 2021. They had a great team. If you needed help finding anything, they would show you where it is. These days, the shelves are barely stocked, good luck getting anyone to help you, and good luck getting anything you want.

Plenty of ice here! I was so happy. Lots of markdowns in the produce department. You can tell this store hasnt been remodeled recently just by looking at the floor. Come on corporate office, spiff this place up!

Although Colorado has a long and storied history of ghost towns, a modern day City market should not be one of those places to fall into that category. The sole worker at the deli can only be described as a rude and ill-tempered troll. Without ever wanting to interact with customers that word present, she also seemed to specialize in giving attitude when asked simple questions about what meats they carry.

The produce is the freshest in Alamosa. They have a good selection of goods. My only complaint is that the deli staff are often less than helpful.

Bathrooms are horrible. You cant even fit in one of the stalls. They need remodeling .groceries are good but I need a decent restroom. I travel to the store 35 miles both ways and it needs improvement! Ill shop somewhere till they start cleaning the restrooms .

Im not shopping there anymore their bathroom is a dump. They need to learn to keep the bathrooms clean all the time and it needs to be remodeled. Im surprised the health dept hasnt done anything about it.

It has an awesome feel to it. Food is similar to a cafe in Indianapolis I liked.

First time using pickup was horrible. My husband picked up the order I placed. They left off all the meat products we ordered and charged us. He didnt realize it and drove the hour back home. They said they called to tell us, but that was a lie. Management wasnt too concerned and refused to help. They credited my card, but now I have to drive two hours to get what I need for the next two weeks of meals. I dont like Wal-Mart, but at least they get pickup orders correct.

The only store in Alamosa that carries Blocks of ice: lasts over twice as long as the usual crushed ice everyone else sells, literally this is the only store, ice blocks last twice as long. So we, my family and friends all do all our shopping here. And our families eat a lot :). Kudos to the manager who cares enough to carry the blocks of ice in the Alamosa CityMarket. Kudos to City

This may possibly be the friendliest market in Colorado! A great selection of quality fresh organic produce, great specials and all the basics. They carry Simple truth organics which makes the only instant coffee better than most fresh brewed. Easy access off highway 160 and ample parking. Gas station in front with discounts for loyalty shoppers. The only thing keeping them from a 5 star is the need for more gluten free, organic goods.

God bless Danielles heart! I have a cousin with that name. Anyways the grocery store person is the kindest worker I have ever met in all of the grocery stores I have ever entered! She is the very best of the best! She pointed me to the items I needed and made everything right! I recommend you go to her if you have any regular shopping concerns.

Friendly, family store. Clean and workers happy to help you. Prices are great. Good sales on groceries. Pharmacy is always correct in filling meds. Love the refill system they have. All the staff is great and helpful.

GREAT!!!! The store itself is so roomy. I have to ride in an automated cart. I didnt have to worry about running into someone or them into me. Every time I turned around there was a worker asking if they could help in any way. In other stores, I have to go and find someone hopefully!! Top shelves are hard for me. Or just finding where something is. This gentleman worked in another area; but, when I asked to help to find something he immediately took me to it.!!! The cashier and bagger were awesome. The cashier introduced me to the young lady who would be helping me get to my car. The whole store was friendly, showed respect and always had a smile on their faces. All of this means so much to a shopper, I will definitely be back!!

Personnel always courteous, smiling and helpful. Prices are comparable to most grocery stores. Produce , dairy and meat prices are better than others. Shopping is enjoyable here not rushed.

To whome it may concern this was once the best store and now i find this store to be very unwelcoming the management team is the worst i have seen it very rude costumer service i will no longer be coming to this store hope ine day ill will be able to shop there like im welcomed never again will i be in there atleast for a while or untill this stire is more polite and welcoming to there customers

Floral Department looks nice but service sucks. I had to go pick up my Mothers Day gift bouquet that was supposed to be delivered Saturday at the latest Sunday and I didnt get it until Tuesday only because I had to go pick it up. Nothing was made right for the inconvenience.

Best deli fried chicken in Alamosa. I was surprised they use a Southern recipe I thought I left in Florida. They also have a good clean store with a wide selection of organic products. They have plenty of help at check out.

I have an ongoing problem with the staff due to certain experiences my daughter with special needs has had at this store. I called and left a message for Steve Valdez (Store Manager) to contact me and have not heard from him. So I have reached out to Kroger.

Friendly helpful staff. No matter what part of the store you are in, if you need help, the employees will actually show you where the item(s) is. They dont run away like people at Walmart do. Great selection of groceries, and the check out lanes are quick and friendly. Way to go!

Been shopping here for years. The manager at the City Market in Alamosa gladly went above and beyond my request for Gouda bacon horseradish cheese today. He ordered all 6 of their cheeses. Excellent customer service. Thank you.

Editing this to one star, I frequent city market but I was informed that the workers are no longer allowed to ask customers to respectfully wear a mask DURING A PANDEMIC. The management has now stopped requiring customers to wear them throughout the store even though they have signs placed on the door and their announcement system in store mentions everyone over the age of 10 is required to wear a mask. Your workers can’t look out for their own health and safety and I hope it leads you to a lot of horrible lawsuits.The store is wonderful and their fuel point system is great. When they started advertising ordering online with same day pick up I got excited since I typically work 50 hours a week. Well the website failed to let me log in, their customer service time was ridiculous, once they figured it out and set up a temporary account for me I did all my shopping only for my card to be “invalid” when I tried to check out. Not to mention several of their in store items were not on their website. I’m frustrated because I’ve spent over half of my morning trying to make this work only to have to do my shopping again at 9pm once I’m off work. I’ve had a terrible experience, and will not recommend their online shopping.

City market is well organized.Nice displays and fresh produce. They have the friendliest and most helpful staff which makes shopping here a pleasure.

Sales and store brand are great but other items can be a little pricey. sale always has me stocking up. digital coupons are always worth a look too.

A small town grocer for sure but with the best produce in town and a decent organic selection. Prices are a little higher than Wal Mart but regular sales more than make up for it. Employees are always friendly and helpful as well, making it an overall great shopping experience.

I love this small, intimate grocery market! While they dont have as much of a selection as the larger chains, they picked all the Right merchandise and narrowed my choices to the Best.

I really enjoy the app, but a lot of the items are mismarked. I also wish that the freezer isles were numbered, that can get really confusing. But the food and prices are reasonable, so other than a few weird things I very much enjoy shopping here.

I went to city market to pick up some florals for a photo shoot. I was happy with the flowers I was able to find but selection was a little limited.

I like this store. The service is always friendly and the employees alway seem to put the customer first. They have Chester chicken and a great salad bar that has a huge selection of bar options. Thier bakery will make you personalized cakes.

Love this store! The store workers are the best in the SLV - friendly, available, helpful, and they really make me feel like I matter as a customer!! The lines are short, the shelves are stocked, and the produce is fresh. They are reasonably priced and offer good bargains in all but deli meat...a bit high priced there, but definitely my favorite grocery store in the SLV!

If you live in Europe and happen to visit Alamosa, dont use the ATM over here. The exchange rate is BAD. 10 eurocents per dollar less than other banks/ATMs. It cost me nearly 20 euros when taking 300 dollars from this machine compared to getting it somewhere else. Next to that the ATM access costs itself are skyhigh (6 dollars).
