Miguel and team are *incredible*! This is by far one of my favorite places to eat on the island. The food is great, the drinks are great and the hospitality is fantastic. They’ve even got wi-fi for customers and a gorgeous patio in the back for people looking to work or study. It can get very busy so I’d recommend showing up earlier than you might otherwise to get ahead of the rush as the line is often out the door.

Great location off the Webster street commercial corridor. Large, clean modern space. Good service. They have good covid precautions in place.I enjoyed their outdoor patio in the back which has one of the old Mission Bell monuments from El Camino real.They had a live guitarist playing music on the weekend.

The staff are all so polite. The food is REALLY good. French fries 100% perfect. Seasoned perfectly, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. I recommend you choose the outdoor seating in the back because its the most perfect seating area ever. I sat near the fountain, my shoes got wet but I was too focused on the food. First time we sat w/o talking. Went here a second time and the food just wasnt as good as before. Bacon was dry.

I arrived early since they are the only place open prior to 8am. They needed more time to get the food menus ready which was fine but they seemed flustered with all the customers in line. Great spot though. Stoked on the glass cup for coffee too, yay for reducing waste.

Great service! Absolutely love the white mocha and espresso shake. Food is delicious too (chicken sandwich, burritos, etc.)

I have been here many times. Precovid I went to get fruit salads, bagel sandwiches and fresh carrot juice. I sat here many times studying. Helpful and friendly staff. Neighborhood icon.

Food was okay, coffee was great and service was excellent! Quiche could have been warmer and all the ingredients should be known to the customer before ordering. Example the vegetables or meat inside the quiche should be clear to the customer.

Waited 45 mins for pancakes bacon and eggs the only had excuses the register paper was out and no one knew about. Food was good but the service sucks. Scott #4. Changing my review. I wanted to order everything! The Apple Pie was outstanding, huge slice. Pastrami sandwich also yummy. Wish I would have bought a slice of the carrot bread for the road. And the atmosphere was wonderful: everyone on laptops inside, gorgeous patio in the back.

Beautiful inside and outside, with a large delicious menu. Had Sunday brunch and was super happy with the food, ambience and service. Their coffee options are huge!

A HIDDEN GEMOkay, I have to start off by saying: I never thought of Wescafe, when it came to hot delicious breakfast. I ALWAYS thought of continental style breakfast and brunch.Well let me say, they make a delicious hot breakfast. I especially love the hash breakfasts servings. Ask for the menu and see a huge selection of this style. I tried the Gold Coast and my wife had Hipster Hash. So delicious!!!The Hashbrowns, the featured ingredient, are perfect. They are crisp and delicious, and fulfilling! They add special spice and ingredients, without being overbearing, or burning your mouth. The cooked beef of the burger patty, was delcious, not salty, and hot. So good, mixture of eggs and beef together, make a delicious combination!I too side with other reviewers, who say this Cafe deserves 5*, and certainly not 3* or less.RECOMMENDED!!!!!

Food is always hot. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and welcoming staff. Its a great place for a day of family time or a great place for a nice peaceful bit alone

The workers here are friendly always willing to help making sure you have what you need. They have 2 restrooms which makes it super convenient when you have little ones. They also have an outdoor eating area makes all the difference in really hot days. Coffee is great and their pressed juice is my favorite. They also have quick bites if you cant stay to dine in.

Went here for breakfast. Their burrito is great! Good size and tasted great. You can choose what type of protein you want with it. I went with bacon and it was good.

Staff seemed incredibly stressed on the Sunday we visited. Placed an order, order came out wrong, and server became super annoyed and told me that my order was going to take a very long time because they were backed up. But not before trying to get me to just settle for the meal that came incorrect. Unprofessional, and unfortunate experience. Great coffee though.

Environment is comfortable. I ordered a simple breakfast sandwich. It was just basic. Nothing inventive. I was a little irritated that dining in and still had to pay for coffee refill. Id go back if on the block and wanted a chill environment to sit and read.

One of my favorite go tos for weekday lunch and get some work done. Free WiFi. Nice little patio out back. My favorites: quiche/salad, smoothies, eggplant sandwich, coffee and cookies if theyre fresh. Great selection. Nice people.

Might be the best place for breakfast. I have been there a few times and just great stuff. Healthy choices available plus go ol breakfast favorites and very good special coffees. They call themselves a cafe and diner but it is a cut above any diner that I have been. Thx

It doesnt get much better than this place. The food was heavenly, the food presentation it almost makes you feel guilty eating it because you are destroying a presentation masterpiece. The service absolutely awesome, from the gentleman at the register to the people serving your plate. (Nora & Margarita) definitely a minimum of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!! A strong recommendation, a must go to place!

Wescafe is a staple of my life here on Alameda. It is one of my favorite places to work, read, or grab a good meal. Wescafe may look like a standard coffee shop from the outside, but it sports an impressive menu complete with a variety of breakfast foods, salads, and sandwiches.Ive been coming here regularly for several months, and the staff has been nothing but friendly and helpful. Theyve also been accommodating of small changes Ive made to my orders to fit with my diet. The music is great, the atmosphere is soothing, and the greenery-filled back patio is the perfect place to settle down with a cup of coffee and a good book.I cant say enough good things about Wescafe. If youre looking for an amazing local cafe/diner, come check this place out. I think youll like it as much as I do.

Large beautiful cafe inside and out on the back patio. The music is classic and relaxing and the lighting is a nice warm amber glow. There is a simplicity and elegance to the decor. The food came out fast and I will be back to get more and enjoy the bar.

My family and I recently spent a week on Alameda Island with the intent of visiting many small cafes that are scattered around the island. We didnt get far into that plan once we visited Wescafe as it became our home base after the first visit. Wonderful atmosphere (including a beautiful back patio area), tasty food (we only did breakfast but had many different menu items and all were excellent), great coffee, and friendly/quick service. This cafe is now one of the fond memories we have of our vacation in Alameda. I highly recommend!

Great food and service. Friendly staff. Good value for money. I especially like their Mexican mochas. This one of my regular haunts fir a breakfast or lunch bite as well as a caffeine re-charge. When the weather is nice, the back terrace is nice for sitting and reading while enjoying am iced coffee

Great breakfast & good customer service. I ordered a Salmon Benedict & the order taker got the order wrong & ordered me a regular Benedict. When I told him I’d ordered the salmon Benedict, he said he didn’t charge me the extra $2 for a salmon Benedict. So I was ok with the regular Benedict. But the server brought me out some salmon to go with it! I call that good customer service!

I love this place.It has great coffee, an almost complete breakfast menu, and nice staff. When I say almost complete I mean that they have fruit, muffins, crouson, cereal, and breakfast burritos but they dont have eggs with hash browns, omelets, or pan cakes.I particularly like that it is locally owned and operated.The prices are reasonable.There is outdoor seating if you like, and plenty of indoor seating.

I came in ordered what I thought was a freshly made turkey sandwich, only to get home and see it was a pre-made soggy wet Bread sandwich. Not ok for $8.95

I love the out door patio. As for the chicken sandwich Ill have that minus one star. It was made with chunks of dark meat and not very well clean of bad parts of the chicken.

More than anything I like the ambiance. The tables are many and have good distance between them, and your wifi is solid and the atmosphere is cool.

Began as a regular at Wescafe about 2006, or 07, when it first opened a block away at the original location and its owners Monica & Miguel have always been the best & Raphael, an employee since the beginning still greets you with a sunny smile, now since the expansion the new place still has the patio, coffee & foods still great, the best of the best on Webster !

Pretty disappointing. Quiche had been sitting out for a while and tasted like it. Roast beef was much too tough. Dont go to Alameda often, but will definitely not eat here again.

We tried to different hashes and both were mediocre. The over easy eggs were actually hard and the cheese tasted like a Kraft singles slice.

It was good. I wish that the menu was more descriptive (hence only 4 stars). I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito, and it was only chorizo, egg, beans and sour cream. Was not expecting that. Traditionally breakfast burritos have peppers, potatoes, onions, and egg with a meat choice. The burrito was tasty, and my coffee was put into a fancy glass because I ate there.
