First off this is one of the most honest shops I have dealt with in my many years of needing service work. Honest and upfront quote with worst case scenario. I prefer that. Also sharing info and progress through the job and offering to replace items while in the job that need attention or that may be issues in the near future. Offering advice on if something needs to be replaced or to leave it alone.I would totally take any of my vehicles to them and recommend all family and friends to them every chance I get.

My transmission starting messing up while I was traveling through Dallas and I found Addison automotive and the took on the job for the transmission replacement. They kept me up to date and everything going on and anytime there was a change or something was found. I had to fly back there from Tennessee and they worked with me on timing to be sure I didn’t spend anymore time than I needed to get home. Living in or Dallas or passing through and need work done, these guys are really professional and provide quality work.

If somebody sold you a service that you needed for a fraction of the cost at a dealership with better expertise, service, and communication, wouldnt you want that? No agenda to try and sell you another car when the one you have works great when treated right. Wouldnt you pay for it? I did. Id do it again. Its been months since I got my Jeeps oil leak fixed and engine tuned up. Its back to running like a dream. No drama, just back to being the workhorse its designed to be thanks to Sherry and team.

Addison Automotive repaired a wiper fluid line that had been chewed by a rat. Same day service. And cost was much lower than quoted by the Subaru dealer. Great communication with Sherry throughout the process.First time customer and will definitely return.

Love this place. I really feel like Im being treated fairly every time I take a vehicle to them. I even convinced my step-daughter, Zghaparee to take her car there for service and repair when needed. They dont seem to try to load on additional services with the estimate.

I called in the middle of the winter storm an hour before the shop was supposed to close I was super flustered because my check engine light was flashing and I worried I wouldn’t be able to find a place that was open to fix it! Sherry answered the phone and I asked if they were open she replied with “yes, what’s going on!?” This immediately calmed my nerves and I could tell my vehicle would be in great hands. She was super cheerful and told me to go ahead and bring it in! She gave me timely updates on what was going on with my car! She called me the next morning to give me the final diagnosis and let me know what the cost would be to fix it. The price was very reasonable and my car was fixed in time for me to go to work the next day! They rebuilt my ac from the ground up, cheaper than any other quotes, and a year later it still runs great. Did the cheapest clutch and flywheel job I could find and still used OEM parts. Always great for advice and Ive never caught them trying to charge me for something I didnt need.

This place is super honest and super fair. One of the hoses for the power steering on my truck blew out, and after kind of getting it connected myself I knew I had to get to a mechanic immediately because the hose wasn’t connecting completely.I happened to be around the corner from Addison Automotive, so I put the truck on a creep and made my way over there. Once I explained what was up to Sherry she told me that they were busy, but the issue might be minor so she’d have her husband take a quick look.10 minutes later Sherry explained that the hose just wasn’t secure, and charged me $20 for the quick repair. I can’t believe how lucky I was to roll up to such an honest mechanic. And in all honesty my truck is driving better than it ever has in the two years I’ve owned it.If I have the option I’m going to be bringing my vehicles to Addison Automotive from now on despite the fact I live in Denton.Great place, can’t praise enough!

Fast accurate service.I have been taking my cars here since 2007. They have always provided a good service and rate for the various issues in our cars and trucks. However it is not the same owner now, and my current frustration is lack of communication. You can call, and leave a message, or use the web to make an appointment, that is expected in todays tech world. However I would add a star if they answered the phone, or did not wait several hours to contact you on status of repair. I hope they take this to heart and respond to voice mail in a more timely fashion.

Been going here forever l. My parents started going here before I was born. When the previous owners retired and now the current owners took over the service stayed the same amazing helpful service its always been. They are awesome at telling you what the cost is going to be and what NEEDS to be done if you are on a budget, unlike most places that say everything needs to be done or your car will blow up. They are quick at getting your car back to you and even have night drop offs if you work during the day like I do.

My A/C compressor stopped working on my classic 93 Honda Civic VX. The power wire became frayed and tore off, probably due to an engine/torque mount that broke previously, which I had replaced already. Being away from home I looked for a reputable shop and Im glad I went to Addison Automotive, they were close, fast, and a good price for what needed to be done. With the heat really coming on up here in north Texas it has been a blessing to have A/C again.

I visited this shop based on the ratings here and left with a new go-to mechanic! I came in with concerns about a battery/starter issue. They quickly identified it was a battery leak. Instead of charging me for a new battery, Sherry gave me a call and suggested I call my previous battery provider to see if they would replace my 1-year old battery. Speaks tons about their business ethics; placing customer before revenue.End of the day, I got my battery replaced for free by my previous provider, and I’ll be coming back for any future car problems!

Its been months since the engine in my Acura TL inexplicably blew up despite outstanding care, oil changes, etc...that was a sad day. Sherry was outstanding in her communication from start to finish, took the time to really understand and diagnose the issues, and worked with me to find a competitively priced solution.My friend calls my car a frankencar because it has a new heart - and that may be - but I would never know the difference. I have taken two of my cars here. Really nice, professional people. They do good work. Though one problem I had was that I had the timing belt, tensioner, water pump and a tuneup done on our 2012 Odyssey in March of last year. All was good until September of this year. The timing belt tensioner went out and the timing belt was making a loud slapping sound. When I called, they said to bring it in, preferably towed in. That was a good suggestion, as it has the Honda 3.5 L engine is an interference engine and if the belt skips, severe valve damage can occur. I also asked about the parts and labor warranty. Nowhere on the receipt has this. Opportunity for improvement: Have this printed on every receipt. They said it is 12 months/12,000 miles, which is pretty standard. I also asked them about the warranty on the parts. They said they would get back to me after calling the factory. They never did. This was a Continental ContiTech timing belt kit; I googled it and they have a 3 year warranty. But may have needed to be registered. Maybe thats why they never got back to me. Anyway, I used YouTube and some advice from my neighbor and was able to replace the faulty belt tensioner with a nice, sturdy Gates tensioner from Autozone. Also replaced the serpentine belt while doing this. Not a job for everyone. There is a shortcut video on how to replace just the tensioner. About the top of my auto repair range. Problem solved. So I am not sure if I can get the Continental piece of pooh tensioner exchanged for a new one. Opportunity for improvement: Consider giving more support on parts warranty issues to you and your customers including feedback to the suppliers and think about ditching crummy Continental for parts kits.

I think theyre very down-to-earth, and if you have a limited budget they will work with you to find the best solution for the lowest cost if necessary. Ive never had any issues after numerous visits and would highly recommend them! TWO HOURS for an oil change and tire rotation!!!! Unacceptable!!!! Not to mention Beverly showed NO interest in me as a new customer. Not even getting my address. My vehicle takes synthetic fluid so Im used to paying $60-$70 dollars for an oil change; NOT $165! PLUS, my tires didnt get rotated and pressure was never checked! I know this because when I turned off my car the uneven tire pressure warning light came on. Terrible service and they RAPE you on price. I was in the business for 15 years until about two months ago so Im fully aware of pricing and how to give good service and I PROMISE YOU...THIS WASNT IT!!!!! DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT GO THERE FOR VEHICLE SERVICE!!!!!!!!

This place was just purchased by a young couple, and they are doing a really commendable job trying to build relationships with their customers through exceptional service - as in fast, cheap, high quality work. I brought in an old Ford Freestar minivan that needed new ignition wires to pass state inspection, and they got it done for faster and cheaper than anybody else I called could offer. Sherry was a great service advisor, which was probably helped by the fact that shes also an owner! We will definitely be returning to them for future unexpected maintenance and repair needs.

YES!!! So glad I found this shop! They didnt try to sell me on everything under the sun; the lady at the front (Sherri; who I think is the owner) called me and told me that my brakes still had 40% life in them so they dont need to be replaced... wait what??? She didnt upsale me on them.... I was floored. The shop is a hidden gem. I am SO glad I found this place.
