My husband and I bought a used Tundra truck for $28k. We offered to make a sizable down-payment to hold the truck, and bring the remainder to the dealership the next week. The salesman wanted us to set up financing for the truck instead, which was fine. However, we were initially told that we wouldnt need to make a down-payment on the loan. Then, an hour later, suddenly they needed the down-payment. Since this was all happening on a Friday and we needed to raise the withdrawal limit on our debit card, the financing guy asked us to call back on Monday when they could run the card. Sure, no problem. Except that I couldnt get clear directions from the dealership on what they wanted, so it took three days and multiple calls to my credit union to set up a simple payment. This could have all been avoided if someone at the dealership knew what was going on. They seemed more interested in me taking out an unnecessary loan than in taking a cash payment (or than in answering my questions with clear information).The truck also had a few mechanical problems. We tried to work with the dealership and service department to fix them, but the service department had the truck for a week and didnt fix anything. My husband ended up spending two days and well over $1000 in parts to fix what the service department couldnt or wouldnt fix. The truck now runs great, but I expected that the dealership wouldnt have sold a vehicle for a high price that needed another $1000 plus to run well.In short, Five Star is a maybe two star dealership thats mostly interested in making as much money as possible off of you, and not at all interested in keeping customers happy. We will not use this dealership in the future.

After months of research and crunching numbers, Dec. 22, 2020, I purchased a new 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 crew cab 4x4 3.0L Duramax at Five Star Chevrolet in Aberdeen, WA for my Christmas Present. Matt was my first/primary sales representative. Matt was not pushy, and very understanding that I wanted to test drive this vehicle and others for a while before I decided which one I was going to purchase as trucks now days are expensive. My second sales rep was Brant. Matt was assisting another couple with purchasing their dream family car. Both Matt and Brant were very knowledgeable about not only the truck I was looking at and purchased, but pretty much every vehicle on the lot. Jason was my sales manager. Knowing ahead of time what the out the door price was on the truck I was purchasing, knowing what a fair price for my trade-in was, and finally knowing what my credit score was, I had a rough idea as to what I was looking at for payments. With a little time, Jason was able to get me a better interest rate than I had expected, and value of the trade was right where I wanted it, and we struck a GR8 DEAL (Sorry guys, had to borrow it, haha). Rodney was my finance manager. He was another great guy to deal with. Quick and easy, no pressure, this is what youre signing to, these are some options if youd like, if not, no big deal, and Congratulations! Bought a pre-owned vehicle from these guys this weekend. When i walked in ( i had appointment with sales person), I couldnt find anyone who worked there. I ventured down the back hall and found the salesman watching the football game. I had tried to call him when I arrived but he didnt have his phone. Within 30 minutes i was ready to make a deal on the vehicle. I asked to have the car cleaned better however, because it was poorly detailed. (Sticky cup holders, leather seats with food residue, and ash from cigarettes on the dash). Salesman said he would take care of it.Took forever to get paperwork started, literally watched salesman stand in front of TV watching the game with my paperwork in his hand.I later found out that they had run my credit 6 times. I have no idea why but that cant be good for my score.When i came back from test drive the gas light was on. (I assumed theyd fill it up for me since i was spending alot of money, nope still less than a quarter of a tank when i went to leave. Had to go straight to the gas station.Finally got everything completed, car still not that clean. Turns outs the detail guy quit.Manager was helpful in explaining things, salesman i was not impressed by.Its the little things that keep people coming back, i wont be going back there.

I going start off by saying I bought the vehicle sight unseen, but, the shocks are so rusted and worn out, I need to replace them.The driver side headlight, the passenger side marker light on the mirror was out when the delivery truck dropped it off.Now I’m only talking a few hundred dollars to do this myself, but the truck should of never been sold in this condition.If you going to purchase like I did, be ready to receive some bad parts.

I had a 8am appointment to have new vehicle glass coating done. I arrived at 7: 55 , manager behind the desk to busy on cellphone to acknowledge me, gentleman coming from sales floor going to outside bays stopped to see if I had been helped, I explain Im here for 8am appointment to have glass coating done, he pulls me up in computer and went to get paper work. Now manager steps in to take over, all I had to do was sign paper, but he wanted to make sure he gave it to the gentleman that was helping me . He explained it should be done around 4 or 5 PM. All is good to this point except for the manager. But come 5pm never got a callback that it was ready, I called the service department at about 5:45 it rang 4 times and went to voicemail, tried 2 more times same result. Then called sales and sales rep said he would go check, he called back about 3 minutes later starting no one was in service department to call back in the morning. I was going to wait until 8am to call, but got a call from service department at 7:15 that it was ready.The reason for only 1 star is they could have made 1 phone call. 22 years in the hospitality industry, as a manager if calls needed to be returned it was my responsibility to stay late to make sure they were done.This was my first experience with the 5 Star group, the sales team at the Ford dealership were GREAT but cant say that about the Toyota side, that has the detailing shop. It reminded me of a TIMESHARE once the sale is made the could care less about you.Up date 9/17/19I received a call from Allen the MG , he assured me that this was not the normal service at 5 Star Toyota, and assured me it would not happen again. Im all in for giving a second change, we are all human. It is the service after the sale that counts. For this I gave them 4 stars.

I went in and traded my old car for a newer one. I did the pre approval process online and within minutes Rory was calling me to set up a test drive appointment. Super accommodating staff. They made sure we had cold water to drink (it was like 80 degrees outside and we had our baby). New 4Runner acquisition purchase from dealer. It was an outfitted upgraded model by DSI. All upgrades warrantied by dealer. Salespeople were very nice, yet they sold me a vehicle with a broken TPMS sensor, unbalanced tires and bad alignment. DSI and Rick Hartman Toyota has helped me service this vehicle through DSI of Nashville, TN. My hometown dealer was unable to help.

Had appt. set for 11:30. Showed at 11:10. Was told it would be about an hour (only 1 car ahead of me for oil change). Waited until 12:40 and decided to check on car. It was exactly where I left it only with drivers window left down (not by me). Asked service supervisor about it. He scrambled around to find the only mechanic around. No other work was being done! Finally started on car. Hour later was done. Paid the bill and when I asked was told matter of factly no wash coupons available, maybe tomorrow. No apolology or even a smile. Far from usual service. No one seemed to really be in charge!

Parts department and sales is amazing but service department has been lacking. Trying to get a Warranty on a part that was replaced not even a year ago was hard. The service techs were saying it was a completely different issue that low and behold wasnt going to be warrantied. I had to go get a second opinion, then go back to actually have them warranty the issue. after this is fixed on my car i wont be back.

I had a 4runner on reserve through a local Toyota dealership (I live in Portland) but was thoroughly put off by the sales tactics and dishonesty by the sales team. I decided to contact Tyler, who my dad also purchased a Toyota from, and despite the distance to their dealership and having to wait a couple extra weeks for the car to arrive at Five Star, I opted to buy from Five Star instead. I will spend my money with businesses that operate on honesty and integrity over convenience any day. Tyler went above and FAR beyond to help me get EXACTLY what I wanted.Update: Tyler no longer works at 5 Star and this place has gone down hill. My parents went to purchase another Toyota from them a few months ago and were really disappointed in the sales team. They ended up buying from another Toyota dealership. I called today to purchase an extended warranty on my new vehicle still under warranty. The finance and sales term were lacking phone etiquette and had nothing to offer me. Looks like I’ll spend my money at Springfield Toyota now.

I recently purchased my fourth (yes 4! first one in 1984) Toyota van. This is the 2nd one from Five Star. I do love Toyota. I appreciate the quality of service I received from Five Star during the ownership of my previous Sienna. That was one of the big reasons I did not hesitate to return to them when I wanted to purchase another vehicle. They were willing to locate just the one I wanted. There was no pressure to purchase more features than I wanted or any extras. All my questions were answered clearly and anything I wanted clarified was reviewed. First time visit. Initial representative we met with was pretty cordial with no pressure. Could consider doing business with them in the future once we determine the need for a replacement vehicle.

I had a great buying experience. Mark and Allen were great to work with. There wasnt a lot of back and forth and in no way did I feel like they were trying to take advantage of me. This was the second car I have bought from them. Although it was 3 hour drive from Portland the experience and no BS approach was worth the drive. I would highly recommend this dealership.

One challenge after jobther thinking it was going to be a simple fix and man oh man was I wrong! Thanks to Victor and Brad they met me in the middle charged a fair price for a great job , threw in an oil change and a car wash!!! Thanks a million guys!!!

Bought a car from here over 2 years ago. Worst decision ever! I drove from out of town to save on sales taxes, which I did. But somehow I’m in a negative equity on my car now. The car value is way less that what I owe. I’ve never felt so screwed over before and I’ve owned a couple of cars and paid them off with no problems. They claimed that they were a non-commission employees, which I guess. But the only way I would ever buy a car from them again is if thy paid this loan off and got me into a new vehicle. Really feeling scammed & stuck cause I need a mid-size suv since our family has grown. I recommend to for people to do THROUGH research on dealerships. They are especially worse for women, they took me for a ride here.

Express maintenance service is really quick, oil change and tire rotate was done in 35 minutes. Awesome. Really nice guy Ryan kept me informed how my truck service was being done. Comfortable waiting area and good coffee too!

The people are very nice and the oil changes, parts and service side are excellent. Repairs good. Buying for get it, on those 2 year old cars buy them from the rental companies. You will save a bundle.I traded in a wreaked 2015. They gave me -$5000 that is minus 5 K, took me to the cleaners. Worst deal ever. I would never buy a new or used car from these guys ever. Take every form they give you and read every number twice, The way that figure was placed on the form it $-5000 looked like a trade in credit. Buyer Beware, that alone cost me 10K.To top it off The sales department told the insurance company they took nothing off for the damages to the trade in. The High Tech Prius V 2015 was 3 weeks old. they took $22,000 off the new 2015. Great Deal for them.

Just want to say that the sales man Shawn and GM Allan were great and very informational on the purchase of our 2016 Toyota Tundra. With the information given to my husband Rob H and I, it was the deciding factor for us and we are very pleased. My husband, 3 kids and I were on vacation in Aberdeen over the weekend. We drove past the Five Star Car Dealership and saw a truck we were very interested in. When we pulled into the dealership, and we were so graciously welcomed by Mitch. His smile and positive attitude from the minute we arrived was so refreshing. He got us coffee and the kids something to drink right away. He took his time in walking us around and answering all our questions. He was very interactive with us and our kids and we felt like family more than potential car buyers. When we found the perfect truck for us he took us inside and walked us through the whole process and spoke extremely highly of all his fellow employees. When we all got a bit hungry and it was past lunch he drove us to Jack in the Box and bought our family of 5 lunch. While we waited for our numbers to be run in the back, Mitch sat with our family and we all talked like old friends. He even did magic tricks for my kids. By the time everything was all said and done it was almost 7pm. That was 2 hours past closing. The staff never made us feel pressured and continued to work with us till we had a price that our family could live with. Tina was also such an amazing help. She was behind the scenes and made sure the truck had full gas and washed it up beautifully. This was absolutely the best car experience we have ever had. BY FAR. I have already told my dad who is looking for a truck to wait and see Mitch and the Five Star Car Dealership. When we ever need to get a new car or truck, we will gladly drive 3 and a half hours again to work with this amazing group of people.Thank you so much Mitch, Tina and Five Star Car Dealership!

The sales team were great to me and Im quite happy with the car.But - the finance guy flat lied to me trying to hard sell me one of those useless extended warranties. He pushed very very hard for it despite my firmly NOT wanting to blow a couple extra thousand on it.I purposely asked about the current warranty and he said there is none - I questioned this and got him to look it up to be sure. Answer was it expired about 6 months ago.I asked are you sure? - its a 2010 car and its 2013 - answer, no it was delivered to us October of 2009 and it started then.I called Toyota customer care about something else and mentioned it, and was told your warranty is good until May 2013 and it didnt start until the car was delivered to the first titled owner.As a professional this guy knew that. Despite being asked more than once if he was sure - he stuck by his story and told me I was driving out of there with no warranty - and it was a lie.. No mincing words - he lied to try to milk a couple extra thousand out of the deal.Sorry...sad but true. Watch out for this. It kinda spoiled what otherwise would have been a happy purchase.

These guys were great. We came in and werent sure we could get financing. They all worked very hard to get us the vehicle we wanted. Not only that but the service department took care of every concern we had at no extra charge. These guys went the extra mile and Ive never had anyone work that hard on my behalf. Next time i need another vehicle. These guys will get my business.

Not happy with the following through on repairs. My problem still present and they have not fixed. They say one thing and I have trusted them. However, the problem continue. I even stop going to have service done. The oh well attitude that they have become has made me change from coming to them to do oil change, or others after 5 yrs. Their service department has gone way down in my book.....not to concern on details or making things right. Even recall are not followed through. I guess I need to drive to Tacoma for real Toyota service. So avoid if you you need service to your Toyota car
