I picked out a stack of books and he said he needed to price them out. He took 20 mins to price out two books to increase the price by mere dollars. Why would anyone wait over an hour for him to price out these books? Takes a lot of gall to treat customers like that. I dont think he wants as many customers as he wants orange price tags on everything lol The owner will make you crazy makes sense why its called asylum comics. Tremendous selection though! Things are only 20% higher than eBay so its not that bad really. But do you really wanna wait hours only to pay more than eBay? Yeah, save your time

Drove 45mins out of my way on a Weds to check out this location only to find out its STILL not open at 5pm (sign clearly shows 2pm open)

This shop is a joke, the owner changes the price on the comics when you get to the register. I had two book that was priced $10 each, the the owner tells me he has to look them up, to see if its worth more. Then he tells me he has to change the price on the books, because the value went up on the books. This shop waits for the customers to pull the books for the shop and then changes the price on the customers. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP.

This is the my ideal comic book shop. It looks like an above ground basement and is ran by a miserable curmudgeon. Great selection, unless youre into indie books, and ALWAYS OPEN ON TIME! Its a geek paradise. I recommend this place to everyone I meet.

Great spot. Owner is very friendly and helpful. You dont find many comic stores that still have that awesome old school feel like this shop.

Horrible service, I called and asked repeatedly if he was open and he kept telling me in 30 min , he didn’t know anything about comics, I don’t recommend anybody come here I prefer the comic book store called all American which is close by and has the best customer service and is Amazing

The owner is awesome, extremely knowledgeable, his hours are sporadic sometimes because of his other job, 10/10 would reccomend. Huge selection of comics for everyone.

Rude owner over the phone. Does not greet appropriately and doesnt care if youre happy or not. Store is dirty inside too. Has a distinct smell. Out of all the south suburban comic stores this place is pretty bad.

Werent open when during the open time, and thats 1 1/2 hours after the open time. Called and was told it wouldnt be open for another hour. Not too surprised given yht other reviews.

Never open when they are supposed to be. It looks like a junk yard and the service is a small step better then Chimeras comics on 95th.

This guy is a untimely rude arrogant owner. When you ask questions he is upset. Cash only and he does not deserve a dime.New comic readers beware he will ruin the hobby.
