My toasted egg salad sandwich was very good. It was toasted just right. Chips were fresh. The banana split sundae was delicious. My husband said his club sandwich was very good, could have had a little more mayonnaise but, it wasnt so bad to complain about.The server checked on us frequently and was friendly. The restaurant was very clean. I will definitely return.

This place is horrible, cant imagine why there are so many good reviews! I would gladly drive out of my way before ever stepping foot in here again! The owner, Mike, is running everyone off and they treat their customers horribly. Its unclean, they did not have their masks on correctly and we saw a hair in the ice cream! Please dont fall for the good reviews. I just hope we dont get sick from the ice cream.Addition after seeing the response below which is not surprising given the horrible attitudes in the store. No one requested you sell a half scoop of ice cream. I did however say my day had been bad when you threatened to not give my child ice cream who had just gotten hurt in a soccer game because I requested you actually wear your mask like you were supposed to and keep yourself and others safe. I apologized and still do, if that offended you, but we are all responsible for keeping each other safe. Other customers in the store also commented that they were appalled at the way we were treated and that you were the only one who was rude. Unfortunately, after getting the ice cream for my children I was scared to have them eat it given the poor quality. I hope this review will help others make a better informed decision. The health and safety information you have indicated about your business is false, since your masks were either not on or only halfway covering, and we saw no evidence of disinfecting, but hopefully this situation can be a learning experience that will help you improve conditions for your customers and yourselves. First time eating here today and it was so good I had to leave a review. Best hot dog in town. The hot fudge cake was to die for! I got this all to go and it was still hot after my 20 min ride home. I also got a loaded baked potato and it was just so delicious. The staff was so pleasant. This place is so gooood!

Love the ambiance of a vintage Ive cream parlor... The walls are covered in pictures from the past, you can lunch or dinner but we came for the ice cream... They close at 10:00 and we arrived at 9:30 so we were going to get the big ice cream for $23.00 but we didnt want them to wait on us so we got the show boats instead which was 4 scoops of ice cream and covered in sauces walnuts whipped cream sitting in between 2 bananas... It was amazing and we cant wait to come back

My family and I went to get ice cream there. I love a good banana split, and Mayberry make a delicious one with fruits, and nuts. You get your moneys worth. The staff is friendly and courteous.

After decades in the community, you can still get wonderful ice cream, and the banana splits are surprisingly inexpensive. Great place for a treat on a hot day, or any time you feel in a celebratory mood. You can take out, eat in, or dine outside.

Poor service and food was very salty and not really that good.Large family came in to dine while I was eating. None wore mask and were not asked to put on masks. Family age ranged from maybe 60s to toddlers. Most employees did have a mask on but there was one server that didnt wear a mask.

The Mayberry shop in Winston-Salem rocks. Our waiter was so on point. Reggie got the order completely right and was right on time with everything. The food was good. And the price was right. Mayberry and Reggie ....thumbs up

The food and service was great. The bean and bacon soup is and absolutely must try. I got a hot dog and it was really good. They also have tons of ice cream flavors. They have plenty of burgers and sandwiches to choose from. Definitely great in the summer time to cool off and enjoy something cold. I highly recommend it.

The experience couldve been great, but there was a tall chunky white guy working that was obviously miserable and just walked off when I told him our order. He then never said a word, like which type of ice cream would u like or anything. I asked did we not get to choose and he said yeah, that he could make it over. Weve not been here in years, and it was very disappointing. He needed to be sent home, not working with customers.

Waiting staff was very attentive, had loaded smashed potato was very Good, mozzarella sticks were cooked too long and had no mozzarella in them, they made another order that was cooked right, burger and ice cream were Good.

Stopped in at Mayberry Ice Cream shop (Miller Street )and had some of the best ice cream I have ever had!!! My favorite sweet is definitely ice cream, strawberry to be exact!If you’re looking for ice cream I highly recommend this place! Enjoy!

Sitting with my 1 year old and 5 year old enjoying ice cream on the patio, five women light up cigarettes next to us. We leave, and Im upset. I think maybe its a mistake so I call and ask if smoking is allowed on the patio. yeah we cool with that. I used to love this place...

I went here for my birthday this past weekend. While we had to wait awhile for our food, the food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Thank you to our waiter James for taking great care of our table. We also ordered the lock stock and barrel ice cream. It was HUGE but amazing!

Had a lovely lunch with my mother this afternoon. I had the burger and fries, my mother the chicken salad sandwich and the bean and bacon soup. Everything was delicious and Jaiden was the best waiter. He made sure that mom had all the lemon she could ever want in her tea and that I had all the ranch I could want to dip my fries in. Was sad that I had to rush out, would have loved to stay for some ice cream.

Old fashion ice cream shop with added modern menu. Ice cream was top notch and serving size is generous. You experience the old car hop days in todays time. Staff was friendly. This establishment participates in social distancing. Every other table is occupied with empty tables in between. You probably are better sitting outside with fresh air and all the space in the outdoor section. Will come back for a cone and a couple of classic scoops. My wife had the Oreo sundae and I ordered the traditional banana split. Both were great. Try it yourself if your in the area.

The food was alright, the ham sandwich didnt taste right but the reason i’m giving 5 stars is because of our waiter Jayden, he was super sweet, funny, caring, kept great conversation and checked on us regularly and was absolutely amazing

Only had ice cream which was excellent. Saw good looking food going by. Service was good. Dining room is showing its age though. Would totally come back for lunch or diner.

The waitress was very thoughtful and courteous and what I ate was good. But the young man that showed us to our table was not at all friendly. No personality at. No smile, no customer service etiquette.

The people were nice and everything looked clean but honestly the ice cream was really disappointing. The chocolate tasted very watered down. Banana split had very few banana pieces.

Just purchased 2 twelve piece wings. These wings are fried so hard they are dry and crunchy like potato chips. Restaurant too far to return them. 2 12-piece and a cup of soup. $29.00+ change and still gotta cook because there not eatable! Thanks Mayberrys!

I promised my little brother ice cream when we had to stop in Winston-Salem and Mayberry ice cream was wonderful! The food, sundae, and milkshake were all delicious and we would absolutely return. Even with being take out only, the staff was very kind at pick up! Definitely recommend to everyone.

This place popped up on the maps when I was searching for something else. So I decided to give it a try. If you are a first time customer its nothing fancy. Burgers sandwiches mainly. Lots of ice cream to choose from. I had a toffee caramel shake. Yummy!! I also had a smoked Turkey melt with fries. The Turkey didnt taste so good but I dipped it in ranch and was fine. Warning it is extra for fries on some meals and they also charge a fee to use your debit card.

Good ol mainstay in Winston Salem! Staff always goes out the way to accommodate you! Good ol value diner menu with an awesome ice cream selection!

Had great memories of going here as a kid, but this chain has gone way down hill and is halfway down the cliff. The staff was rude and were audibly cursing. I was there with my young child.

Very dirty inside and icecream was lacking flavor.

Had my favorite-Coconut Ice cream. It was delicious. Gonna comeback and get reacquainted with the menu.

My Mayberry Delight was delicious, a sandwich of bacon, tomato and swiss cheese is always my favorite the pineapple shake wasnt at all bad either.

Had lunch there today. Chicken nuggets tasted like fish sticks and were VERY greasy. 2 items we tried to order they were out of and when I was charged more on my ticket than an item was advertised for, the cashier was asked by the waitress if she could correct it, she replied I cant..and I wont . So...I cantspend my money where customer service is non -existent, and..I wont be back. 2 can play the rude game!

The service of this place has gone WAY down hill. Took 30 minutes just to get two milkshakes and a additional 20 minutes to get our food. Also our waiter disregarded 3 times just to get a to go box. Food wasn’t terrible just a little cold since considering the wait listed above.

We have been coming to this Mayberry for years. Today, the waitress gave us the hardest time about me asking for them to make a sandwich without the meat. The manager said that they still had to charge the same price, which was fine, but when I asked for mushrooms she was going to charge me extra. Not a way to treat your long standing customers.

Went here for Mothers Day cause they were having a special on banana splits. Now me and my family (6 of us) have not been to Mayberry in a while and honestly I have no idea why. The service was excellent. We had the nicest waiter. The food was delicious, even my grandmother who complains about everything had to give props. The banana splits were almost perfect (needed more hot fudge!). Other than that just a wonderful time. We even got our food pretty quickly. Will definitely be back if not for Fathers day (discount hot fudge sundaes!), then sooner!

A Winston-Salem tradition...born in Greensboro (many locals not even aware). The proprietor, Mike, started in the late 1970s as a table cleaner, and now owns the restaurant. The food is tasty dinner food. The bean & bacon soup is the best there is, along with delicious ice cream, hand made milk shakes and deserts.

Mayberry is a place that is in a declining market.However the quality was alright.The only comp locally is Dairio which is very good. Ill give them another try when in the area.

Hoped for better. The mozzarella sticks were really good. The banana malt milkshake was good. However the fries were unseasoned and limp. They put my fries on top of my pickle. My bag of chips were in the container touching the hotdog. The hotdog was just ok.

I had a Hot Fudge cake, and it was good. When I got ready to pay, I was told that if I used a credit card, their would be a fee. I have always left more then a 20 percent tip for the waitress. Hopefully, management will give the tip next time.

Mayberrys on Miller street has been there since I was in high school back in the late 70s. Theyre similar to the old 50s and 60s Malt Shoppes where kids would hangout with friends. Sort of a cross between that and your typical family restaurant from my generation. I didnt really go over the menu because, well, I just wanted some ice cream.I ordered a bananas galore (a large banana split) and the server offered a glass of water too. He brought the water and immediately began preparing the split. It was a generous three scoop deal made with flavors of my choosing, mocha almond, pistachio almond and black cherry. With pineapple and English walnuts. It comes with there own special chocolate but I have to take a pass on chocolate. Now to be honest this was a very tasty treat but the flavors I chose were all over the map in diversity and so my taste buds really didnt discern the unique flavors of each one.My server was a young man but very polite and pleasant and because I was sitting at the bar rather than a booth I observed that all the employees seamed to be happy and relaxed. Several asked if I needed anything and if the food was to my liking. I definitely recommend this place for their ice cream alone. But Im sure their other menu items are quite delicious.

The service was fast on every account, and the waitress was friendly and quick.Great menu options and the 1/2 lbs hot dog was exactly what I needed after a long days drive.Parking can be a little tight out front, but shouldnt be an issue unless you have a really big truck or are pulling a trailer of any sorts.Will definitely eat here again if back in the area, and might even try their huge Sundae special.

First job as a teen. Still has good food and a warm 60s sort of feel regarding the name of the company and era where ice cream parlors were the hangout spots. Customer service is fine.

Went here during lunch hour. Servers seemed understaffed and rushed. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger got just a cheeseburger. The burger tasted almost like it was microwaved and rubbery. The bun was wrinkled and sad like it was the last one out of the bag. The chips just ruffles potato chips. Overall less than mediocre first time experience with their burgers.

Good place to have a quick bite with my daughter. Service is decent and the food is always consistent. Bean and bacon soup is not to be missed. Fudge cake icecream treat is pretty great too. My daughter is ready for the weather to warm up so we can eat out on the covered porch area.

Id ordered a simple salad the salad dressing which was so grossly thick and stringy.(old) My biggest concern was the cook, making fun of customers as they walked in. The language was extremely unprofessional I was saddened by the whole thing I couldnt leave a tip. I had little ones with me. Ive heard good reviews that why we went. Never again
