Fantastic from start to finish. Gary was great to work with for the selection of the appliances. The installation crew called ahead and arrived on time. They were extremely polite, respectful, and carefully brought the appliances in. I was really appreciative with how friendly they were, and that they took the time to answer a few of my questions. They worked as an efficient team. Appliance shopping can feel slightly overwhelming. Hawkins and Sons made it comfortable. Without a doubt I will let people know of my great experience with them!!

Ive never seen so much attention to detail. The men who delivered my new refrigerator were so professional. They took great care navigating some tight spots to place my new refrigerator and remove the old one. They also gave me a quick tutorial on the new. The sales staff are also excellent.

We needed a refrigerator right away as ours had completely died. When we went to Hawkins and Sons (on a recommendation from friends who have bought items from them for years) we were greeted by Gary W. who took the time and helped us with all our questions and concerns. He was very friendly and professional and helped us find exactly what we were looking for. The refrigerator had just arrived and was on the floor and we needed it the next day. The schedule was full for that day but the office staff was able to squeeze us in. The two delivery men (technicians) arrived on the agreed to time ,removed the old dead refrigerator and replaced it with the new one . Sean and Sal were very polite, professional and took extra care to not damage anything in our home. It was a pleasure to work with such a customer oriented business and we will be recommending them to our friends and family. Thank you the Neal’s.

My wife and I bought a stove today. My salesman Rich was very professional and knew all about the products he sells. He also set up the financing we needed to purchase our stove. A very pleasant experience which took no longer than a half hour. Just waiting now for them to haul away the old and install the new!!

I had a very good experience buying a refrigerator. The two salesmen (Gary and other salesman on that day) found an acceptable unit for me in a very depleted marketplace. My space was very limited and the deliverymen (Nate and Eric) were very positive and made it work. They were friendly, professional and informative. Overall, a great experience. Good service is the key to good business!

I had to make a major purchase without going into the store due to Covid19. The beginning of my experience began when I spoke to Mike in Sales. He provided me all the information and confidence to make a sight unseen purchase. I purchased a double oven and it was $200 less than the big stores and on top of that there is an additional $100 rebate not offered at those big stores. Today my oven arrived and the two gentlemen who delivered (one was Nate) we honestly the most professional delivery/service men I ever dealt with. They arrived in their masks and were so cautious not to scratch or scrape anything! They measured all openings before attempting to remove my old ovens and bring the new ones in. I am so glad I reached out to this smaller company instead of the big guys. I will make all my future appliance purchases from Hawkins and will refer anyone who asks (I was referred by a previous customer). What a great staff - service from the sale to the delivery! I moved right down the street, from out of state. We were in need of a new washing machince.I stopped in to check out the place, small business has a really hard time competing with the big chain stores in my home state. Was very happy with the selection and pricing. The salesman was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Happy with my washing machine, I will be headed back for my grill and stove !

Our oven was emitting a strong gas smell, so we wanted to get it checked out. The customer service staff was friendly and helpful in setting up an appointment. (Note that right now theyre booked out a few weeks because of COVID.) The day of the appointment they gave us a heads-up call to give the ETA for the technician. The technician arrived on time and was very friendly. He diagnosed the problem right away (the ignitor was old and weak) and showed me how he knew thats what it was. He ran the oven again before he left to make sure what he did worked correctly. He also showed me how to take everything apart if I need to get to certain places and gave me helpful hints for things to look out for with our type of house. The entire appointment was 45 minutes and the price was reasonable. No games, no gimmicks, no upselling. We will be using them again next time we have an appliance issue.

Not the greatest experience with Hawkins & Sons. Customer service was not what you would expect. Had a hard time with rebates due to the receipt they supplied not indicating the proper model numbers. Then, they did not realize that they had sent me the wrong oven after I tried to install. Then, they asked me to bring back the incorrect oven and pick up the right one, but I told them since it was their mistake, they should swap them out.I went to Hawkins & Sons from a recommendation through a builder, however I cannot offer that recommendation for the future.I hope other customers have a better experience than I did.

My wife and needed a new gas range ours had died and we had looked all over for a new one . Hawkins and Sons was recommended by friends of ours . We stopped in to look over their inventory of gas ranges. We were so impressed with the sales person and his knowledge of the product. Prices were not excessive. Also they service what they sell.

I don’t normally write reviews but for Hawkins I felt compelled to do so. My 8 year old washer they don’t make anything like the used too ~ broke and I was shopping for a new one. I went to Hawkins and Dan was very knowledgeable and very helpful. I must add I’m not easy to deal with I’m no nonsense and don’t try to BS me. Dan was very patient and replied to all my questions via email. My new Maytag was installed on Monday. Nate and his partner very efficient and went above and beyond. They made sure it worked and was level. I’m all about customer service. I got that at Hawkins. Lowe’s and the Home Depot sub out their delivery and I’ve heard too many horror stories about their delivery service. I did not want to deal with that nonsense. So if you need an appliance please do yourself a favor and check them out. I don’t think you will be disappointed. Cheers!

The worst expirence ever! The funny looking manager in the repair section was rude and not very helpful at all! I will never recommend anyone I know to come here for repairs.Waste of money and time

This company reminds me of the adage you get what you pay for. While I paid a little more than I would have at a big box store, in return I got so much more. This is the greatest company, and aside from being courteous and thoughtful, they are also far more knowledgeable than anyone at a big box store could even imagine! Heartily recommend!!

So apparently the parts store and the appliance store are two different operations. I called at 430pm to see if a part was in stock and to have it priced. I got the information needed and i headed to pick it up. Not once during the two phone calls i had placed in a 10 minute span was there any clarification of the store closing in less than 30 minutes. So i show up to a closed store and head into the appliance store who seemed unable and uninterested in helping.

Our first contact with Hawkins & Sons was a phone call we made. Dan was very informative & friendly so we decided to go to the store. Again, we were treated in a friendly, professional manner and all our questions were answered. We had already shopped around so we knew we were quoted a good price. We purchased a new oven & range top & were assured that removal of the old & installation of the new would be done very carefully. Alec & Nate showed up on time & were extremely careful & courteous. Great experience all the way around!! We will return to Hawkins & Sons for all our appliance needs.

Had Hawkins and Sons come out to check a dryer out. Mike was very friendly and knew what he was doing. They charged a flat fee to come out and the total was less than $150 for everything and the dryer works like new again. Lets keep family run businesses around, they are there when you need them, unlike the big chain stores. A++++++ for this business and there employees.

My wife and I got a new dishwasher about a month ago from Hawkins & Sons, and were really happy. The dishwasher is just a dishwasher, but the people at Hawkins are fantastic to work with, both the folks we dealt with in the store and the service team who installed the unit. There were even a few hiccups with the way our old dishwasher had been hooked-up, but the Hawkins crew had everything figured out in no time to remove the old one and do a seamless installation of the new one. I recommend the company to anyone in the market for an appliance.

We purchased a new Kitchen Aid dishwasher from Hawkins. Everyone that we worked with was great - from the showroom sales people to the installers. I am very happy with the installation - they were prompt, courteous and professional. I love my new dishwasher, too.

My recent experience with Hawkins has been terrible. After shopping at numerous places trying to find a 27 dbl wall oven, I went to Hawkins (where we purchases our suite of appliances back in 1997). The salesperson was told many times that my currect dbl ovens werent working properly and I was hosting Christmas dinner for my family. He told me though the walls ovens were on back order, theyd be in in two weeks and it would NOT BE A PROBLEM to get them installed prior to Christmas. Well, thats not true. As I said, I made it perfectly clear that if he couldnt deliver prior to Christmas, I wasnt placing the order. I didnt receive call backs when told I would and the last straw was yesterday when he told me they werent on the truck so theyd be in Friday. I said fine, Id make myself available for a Saturday installation. Only to be told they were closed on Saturday. I then asked him to check to see if any of his installers would like overtime. I even said why dont you go to the warehouse and pick up the ovens and then install on Friday. My ex was standing in the room and heard the entire conversation where the salesperson said hed ask to see if either option would work and get back to me later that day. Guess what? Yep, no call. When I called this morning, he had the audacity to tell me he didnt say that. I told him I had a witness and that he most certainly did. I then asked to speak to his manager and was told okay, but hell just tell you the same thing. Well see if Mike does indeed call me today. If this is how Hawkins treats their customers when they are most certainly in the wrong, I dont ever want to deal with them again. This is for informational purposes and I leave you to make your own decisions.

Tech was in and out in 15 mins to fix an igniter on oven. Apparently the $150 service fee to come out is paying for training their service techs because they anticipate 2 leaving in the next 5 years ! What a joke of reason to cover up the fact that they are simply price gouging.

My only wish is that every company we deal with had the level of service we get from Hawkins. They were most helpful on the sales side and with John, their service is even better.

I have bought several (5) appliances from this company and have had excellent service in both the showroom & by at-home repair people. Oh, and dont forget delivery folks. Such a pleasure to deal with a local company which practices great service. Would rather give them business than some huge chain.

The worst service ever!! Very poor customer service. I scheduled a service appointment to repair my wash machine. On the scheduled day no one showed up to service. I called the company and they somehow lost the work order, needless to say I lost wages to take off from my job! So I rescheduled and the tech came out and started to repair the washer but didnt finish. I really dont think he was qualified for the repair. I called to complain and the company reacted as though they didnt care, didnt apologize or anything.

I called in with trouble with my dryer the lady was very nice asked the model no# and quickly told they could fix it. She schedule me for the next day. Within two hours I get a call there schedule opened up and wanted to know if it worked for me today? I said of coarse, the tech (John) showed up jump over the piles of laundry that never seem to go away diagnosed the problem fixed it quickly. Reasonable cost. Nice having people that service to another level!

I found a used microwaveexoecting it to last a year or two. Its going on three years and its still working very well. Thank you

Spent a couple weeks running around to scratch and used appliance stores looking for a decent used dryer. I was floored how all the shops sell garbage that looked like a truck ran it over and selling for prices that were only minor savings over new. Then I stopped at hawkins. Staff is very knowledgeable, they dont act as salesman just answer your questions and are happy to help! All the appliances there looked almost new and prices cannot be beat. I got a couple year old electric duet dryer with Pedistal for $275 cant beat that! Would recommend to anybody

I will attempt to be fair with this review of Hawkins and Sons but as you can see, my opinion of this local businessman is less than ideal.I will break down my experience into numerous facets:What we were looking for:I was in shopping to replace the entire kitchen appliances. I was having my kitchen remodeled and the appliances had to be upgrade. Having done this project a couple times before, we were looking for a single source, and local business to keep the dollars local. We did twice purchases before on the internet and returns on large items are a bit problematic.We were looking for all stainless steel, refrig, dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal and stove.We choose mostly KitchenAid for the brand, per Hawkins recommendations.Pre-Sales - FairSales folks at the store we nice and not overly pushy. They have been around these products for a while.Sale/Value - PoorWe shopped the internet and their prices were not competitive, around 15-20% more than what could have been saved by sourcing to numerous online retailers.When pressed, they did cut a small discount since we were buying a large number of item together. A gesture, but nothing to compare with the other suppliers. We figured that local service would be make up for the difference.Delivery and Installation - PoorThey did deliver on the date the stated, but service support was poor. We did not notice until later that the french style door was not perfectly aligned. So the door is a little hard to close since its slightly off. I would have figured that the delivery guys would notice that the doors were off and resolve issue.The stove was placed in the room.Summary and Final thoughts:Overall, we hoped to source locally for the appliances since we would have like to develop a relationship with a local merchant. I was unimpressed and spend more than I should have for a relationship that I am not sure I would want.Hence low rating.
