The sweet old man running that store is a gem. He made our peanut buster parfait and raspberry fudge blizzard perfectly!! Didnt have cash on me but gave him a tip. He cant move fast like his young days, so please be kind. ♡

Richard is a Great guy with an Awesome attitude and work ethic. His business reflects it. He is very generous and donates ice cream for our Neighborhood events. My oldest daughter worked for Richard over 30 years ago. He has employed many Neighborhood kids. Happy Birthday Richard!!

My favorite go to for strawberry malt,extremely long,long wait,but discovered the elderly man owns it for many years(Grove@Lincoln) was there working by himself,he had a line and was doing his best,so I waited and my malt was good as always.

Ive been going here my entire life. I used to live a couple of blocks down. Always a pleasant experience... Just wished Id gotten a different type of lid for my blizzard. Made a pretty decent mess.

Ice cream was great but having a 90 year old slowly helping customers, one at a time, takes longer than a just a comfortable wait time. He took the money, made change and preparred the desserts one at a time. Therr were like 5 cars in front of us and 5 behind us at 3pm on a Wednesday. I would hate to see a busy time.

The ice cream is good but the customer service is horrible. The worker who made my order had an attitude when I simply asked her to please mark my blizzards since they look alike! Thats your job... if you dont like it, find another gig! Smh

Little Richards Dairy Queen is a great place to go to for your ice cream cravings. This is an old fashion style DQ. No meals, no indoor seating, just drive thru, walkup windows and old fashion service. Seeing others comment on the little old man working by himself, that is Little Richard and hes the owner.

Brought back lots of memories of getting ice cream....No one can beat Dairy Queen, its way better than Braums.

Original old school DQ, same guy has been running it for decades. Standard frozen treat faire, no seating, no burgers just as God intended.

Good place to come for ice cream but thy need to more then one person to work here. Long lines around the building that they are in the street.

Gets kinda busy here. I would avoid during peak hours, unless you need Ice cream badly.

There is only one person working here at this dairy Queen and he look like he is all of our grandfather hes putting it and hes doing everything he needs to do but its unfair and thats under the law of Labor theyre not supposed to be doing him like that I wish I had the number to the district manager cuz I will call and I will report better yet maybe I should call the state

This location still looks to me like the old time ice cream stand. The people are very courteous and helpful there. I would definitely recommend going here if you get the opportunity.

My favorite dairy queen in town 😋. I can make orders not on the menu. Only issue is when theyre busy. I wait patiently, but not everyone does. He hand makes items that are prepackaged at other dairy queen stores. They know the difference between Hawaiian and tropical blizzards. One has pecans and the other one pineapple. He hires high school students.

Dilly bars are cheap and non-dairy so even though were lactose intolerant we can still enjoy this classic quick treat as a family.

Dairy Queen is pretty pricey in my option but this DQ is the cheapest in town! The kids that work there are always very nice and helpful. Its a drive from my house but its worth it!!

I havent seen or been to DAIRY QUEEN in years, and it was just how I remembered. Great food & Chocolate Soft Serve. The service was outstanding and so friendly. Enjoyed it greatly. Now Im craving a DILLY BAR....YUMMY

This Dairy Queen is by far the best place in or around Wichita to get ice cream. They have a few old-school tricks of the trade to make their malts and shakes taste like no others. Although this place is employed and ran by mostly teenage kids, these kids take exceptional pride and what they do, the service, and their customer relations. If youre in the mood for a good old fashioned malt, Shake, Blizzards Sundays or banana splits... Make the trip to Richards little DQ. We live up by Newton Kansas I will gladly make the drive down there before we go anywhere else.

Best one around. Richards Little DQ brings back so many memories from my child hood. It was Awesome seeing Richard still there.

This is the best Dairy Queen in Wichita! It’s our go to ice cream spot when we need a little treat. Our family of six can each get an ice cream cone (large ones for the boys!) for under $10. The employees and Richard are great and we always enjoy our summer tradition.

My husband and I come here every day, they recognize us by our car and start making our order before we even get to the window. So they have our order memorized, which is nice! (Even my 3 pup cups). Everyone here is always friendly! And Richard is a big sweetheart!!

I stopped by yesterday and got a blizzard and was going to give a Great review because they also have me my Military discount. But went back tonight with my wife and for 2 cones then after they told me the price I said military discount please and the elderly gentlemen said they ONLY GIVE MILITARY DISCOUNT TO UNIFORMED... THIS REALLY IRRITATES ME BECAUSE THATS BASICALLY SAYING THAT UNLESS YOURE IN UNIFORM THAT YOUR SERVICE MEANS NOTHING....I WILL NO LONGER GO HERE AND THE ONLY DAIRY QUEEN THAT PROVIDES A MILITARY DISCOUNT IS THE ONE ON ROCK ROAD... This is one of the original Dairy Queens! Walk up and stand in line like I did 60 years ago. Open only in the summer and has had the same management as long as I can remember. I am impatiently waiting for spring! Always friendly and orders are correct!

An old style walk up DQ. It’s the only one I know of in town that still serves cherry and butterscotch flavor dipped ice cream cones. It’s a fun family outing on a warm night.

I came through the drive-thru at the Dairy Queen on Lincoln and poplar today. I ordered a baby small vanilla cone and I got a regular small cone which was a $1.00 I asked for the one for the $0.75. Needless to say I dont think I will be back. I have used this Dairy Queen ever since it was over here on Maple Street since I was a teenager, used to be my favorite Dairy Queen boy you need to get better employees, people that can get your order right or get them to pay attention to what people are ordering (GET A HEARING AIDE) so you can hear correctly.

I came to this store Tuesday September 24, 2019 at 1:24 PM I ordered a large cookie dough blizzard and asked for extra cookie dough I offered to pay the extra but they said that they don’t charge for extra my total came to $5.50. It was a young girl at the window and she handed me my blizzard up side down like they are supposed to be served normally when I get it I can see the chuncks of cookie dough! I couldn’t I then began to eat it and maybe got 2-4 bites of cookie dough in a LARGE ! I called and spoke with a young girl and I advised her I was on lunch and couldn’t make it back she said to come back when I could! I then called today October 2nd 2018 and asked to have it remade explained my situation and the “owner” or manager (who seems to be very older) said to me “I know it was made with extra it would have 4 scoops of cookie dough and all you want is a free blizzard” and then told me “I had the wrong store” (which I didn’t I’ve always went to this one as it’s closest to my house) “all you want is a free blizzard so just come and get it” I then asked to speak with a different manager or the owner or corporate number, he then stated to “come get your free blizzard” and disconnected the line after arguing me after I told him I was told to come back when I could! Very rude basically made me feel like I was trying to steal from him when you pay money you want what you paid for! I will now drive the extra few blocks to the east central location in hopes of better service! The owner was very rude and now I don’t even want to go to this store for what is owed to me for what I paid $5.50 is a lot of money for one ice cream! That’s a gallon or two in gas and now I’m wondering if it’s even worth to go back.

Slowest drive through in my life. No intercom so you order once you get to the window. It took 15 minutes for 3 cars to get through.

My daughter and I always have a great time when we come here! The service is good, its a little slow because the girls are always so busy! If they get an order wrong, they fix it. If they havent tried something and you ask about it, they tell you the truth. And as far as the sign youll see in another picture somebody else posted: Closed Friday and Saturday sorry...the teens who work here were trying to get ready to go back to school, so there were some scheduling issues due to prevent season meetings.Give them a try before they close for the fall/winter in mid October. They for the winter early because they only serve ice cream and none of the other food products usually offered by Dairy Queen.

Not the place too to go...very slow service. It took 10 minutes to take someones order in the drive thru.It was an older man that was extremely slow and could barely hear you and you could barely hear him talk.And too top it off....there was only 2 people working. Thats ridiculous. I wont be going back to this location.

Old school Dairy Queen. Ice cream only, walk up or drive thru (tiny drive-thru) the quintessential summertime ice cream stand. Only open during the warm time of the year with varying hours of operation. Location is kind of a pain to get to, but its still worth it.
