They worked me into their schedule, checked things out, fixed the problems, and now the car is working like new. It cost a little money, but much cheaper than buying another car. My vehicle was lat Chance for much longer than I thought it would have been. I did understand the circumstances with Covid and employee short staffed.Once my vehicle was looked at I got an honest diagnosis of the issue I was having and I received great service to get the issues resolved. Very good company and I’d recommend anyone to go to Chance with their transmission needs.Jay at the front desk is a great guy to work with.

These folks were awesome! They replaced the clutch in my 08 Tiburon. I was able to bring in my own parts and they charged me for labor only. And the labor rate was much better than other places. I had my transmission replaced two years ago with Chance for over $4,000. My Tahoe is my soccer mom car and I drive around the state for sports and doesnt get pushed. I was a couple thousand miles over the warranty but they said they would look at it for me and would be $1,500 to $2,000 to repair. I was told transmissions dont last like they use to by Chance. My truck that I over pull with has lasted 10 years on the last rebuild so I went back to T&T Sale for my Tahoe. The owner is awesome and got me fixed for $900. Not a fan of places that have repairs that cant last two years so I really am not impressed with Chance.Going to double down with their reply and want to clarify that the $4,200 replacement didnt even last 2 years on a soccer mom car. I dont do business with anyone that cant provide quality products.

Took my truck to a local mechanic, he pulled it and took it to chance transmissions. they had it rebuilt and back to him within a week. truck runs great.

As always Chance did a wonderful taking care of us. I know we are in great hands when they work on our vehicles.

Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I made an appointment 3 weeks in advance dropped my vehicle off with a very clear list of what I wanted done. I called after my vehicle had been there all day and it hadnt been touched. The excuse was they werent sure what they needed to do. I explained to them again what I wanted done. There were 4 things check on a vibration, determine where another noise was coming from as well as change my rear differential fluid and transfer case fluid. I called 30 min before they closed everyday for a week and was told they were waiting on a lift. Ive never seen a place start working on a vehicle complete 1 task, then go park the car in the parking lot and just let it sit. Why wasnt the vehicle worked on when the appointment was made and worked on until it was completed? This place never once called me they have zero communication and are extremely disorganized this place is suffering from poor management. After my car sat there for 8 days and only 1 thing that was supposed to be done was completed I went and got my car. Im still getting some vibration from what they did fix. I took it to another place and the work I asked to be done was done that same day and I picked it up the same day I dropped it off. I wont mention the place that actually got the work done because this isnt an advertisement for them this is a negative review for Chance Transmission. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague!! Lets change the jingle from Chance Transmissions your transmission experts to Chance Transmissions your transmission flunkies! There wasnt a thing expert about the place!

Do not trust this company I spent $6600 and 7 months later still do not have a working transmission. To be continued. Wait for it.

Well, Im one of the few that has had a bad experience. I bought a rebuilt transmission from here, and it lasted a year. Coincidentally, so does the warranty. Talking to Chance, they wanted to point blame at everything but the transmission. I took it for a second opinion, and my suspicions were correct, the transmission alone was at fault. It was poorly built and only lasted a year. Now, I will never return to Chance because instead of taking blame and trying to help a customer, they wanted to point a finger and in the process, pointed four others back at themselves. Now Im stuck with a vehicle I cant afford to fix.

I stopped in during my lunch break to talk to them about bringing in my Jeep. Jay told me to bring it in that day and even stayed late for me to be able to drop it off after work. They started working on it immediately the next day and had it completed in no time. Then when I got the bill I was even more impressed. Fast work at a great price. Kudos to chance transmissions and service manager Jay for giving great customer service and fast turnaround.

Took my Buick in not knowing exactly what was wrong and they gave me a diagnosis of an overhaul transmission. The price was fair and I would have done got it done but the vehicle was not worth putting that kind of money into it. Chance was great they did not charge me for looking at it for me. Had them change the valve body in my transmission. Started to leak the day I picked it up. I have take it back 3 times now. And they still can’t seem to fix a leak that they caused. Took it to a different shop and I was told that the transmission pan was bent from getting over tourqed. So not only did they not fix the leak but they lied to me about it.

It is a great place and they were very nice. Had them look at my transmission even though it didnt have a problem they flushed it out and hooked me up with a warranty. So if something does happen to my transmission I will have help paying for the repairs!

These folks were great from the time I walked in the door until I took the truck home. I never felt that I was talked down to--I dont know anything about repairing a transmission. Especially a transmission that is 53 years old. I was happy to find someone I could trust and do the work. Its only been a few weeks but everything seems to be just fine. No leaks shifts great--works great. A local shop in Derby referred me to Chance, and I am glad they sent me to the right repair company. I need to add that my wifes truck (yes her truck) is a complete restration from the frame up. Her truck was well cared for--not one scratch nothing dirty inside. They took care of this truck. Great stand up people at Chance Transmission. Our shop helped them with some warranty work, Jeff was prompt, honest and great to deal with! We both had a shared goal to get his customer back on the road, we both made it happen. If you are in their area I would recommend this shop!

Knowledgable but overpriced. $221 for a range sensor and heat shrink on two 18 AWG wires. To note- I actually wanted the wires to be left alone for a couple reasons, nonetheless wires had heat shrink put on and I was charged for it.There are more details I didn’t like about the transaction, but that’s the gist of it.I see plenty of good reviews on here, but I’ve heard other accounts similar to mine. I don’t have any proof, that’s just what I’ve been told.

I just got my truck back today and it runs great! The diagnosis was quick and they gave me several options for rebuilding my transmission. They also discussed some adjustments for towing that would help in the long run. Service was completed quickly and at a fair price. I would definitely recommend Chance to anyone who needs transmission service. They were great to work with and did an amazing job on my truck.

After 320,000 miles, my Toyota 4runners transmission failed while I was 3 hours from home over labor day weekend in south east Kansas. Had a local shop coordinate a salvage transmission installation. Once I got it back to Wichita, something was obviously wrong. Took it to Chance, and they got it in, diagnosed the problem, which was a bad rear seal...and got me back on the road. These guys know transmissions. Its a busy shop, and thats a good sign. Price was what I expected, and no more problems after a month. Sometimes you just have to go to the experts...and for transmissions, thats Chance Transmissions.

~ Pleasantly Surprised~I had a really good experience during a very difficult and frustrating time my car was putting me thru. I had no idea where to even start or look for such a major car repair. A friend emailed the guys at Chance and had a response in rapid time with answers to vague questions from my little knowledge about cars. Even though we had a slight shipping issue from the manufacturer the staff never hesitated to keep me informed and followed up with updates as to what was going on day in and out. Had a transmission that had bad clutch packs. I coordinated the job with Jay weeks in advance. Once I had the money to get the job done, I called Jay, and he called in a tow truck from Bud Roat towing because I had lost 3rd and 4th gear (truck would not go above 35mph). They took very good care of me. They test drove it, verified the problem, they rebuilt my transmission and reinstalled it. I was unsure if my transfer case needed rebuilt, so I had them split the transfer case just in case. These guys are very honest with you, they are not out to just make money. Quite the contrary actually, I was asked permission anytime they were going to proceed to the next step. They are genuinely out to help you save as much money as possible. They were extremely nice throughout the entire process and they will answer any and all questions you may have about your tranmission. Btw, the staff never actually got to meet me in person until I went to see if everything was still checking out okay. This entire job was coordinated and executed entirely over the phone. Cannot thank them enough for everything theyve done!

I live in salina ks. When my transfer case chain started to slip, I went looking for a transmission shop to fix it. No luck in salina, junction city, manhatten or topeka. My friend jay moore called around and found that Chance Transmission rebuilds transfer cases. Everyone else offered to put in a transfer case from a salvage yard. All of them with over 100,000 thousand miles on them . I was not going to do that.I drove to wichita. They put it on a lift. Drained the oil . And took a look at the chain. It was stretched out. Loose and skipping under a load. I paid for the work to be done. And they rebuilt it in a few days. I picked it up on the third day. They saved me over a thousand dollars. And saved me from having to put in a salvaged t/c. By the way, a new transfer case was not an option. 150 are on back order at the dodge dealer. I would have been 151st order.So a big thank you goes out to Chance Transmission. When I was out of options, they came through .

I had self diagnosed my car with a slipping transmission thinking that something crazy was happening, because for the life of me I couldnt fix it. I took my car to Changs and they were awfully busy but managed to get my car in to be diagnosed. I received a call later in the day and they notified me that I had nothing wrong with my transmission and that it was my engine misfiring. I took my car home replaced the spark plugs and its good as new. Chance transmission didnt charge me a penny for looking at my car. I am very happy that they were honest with me, because, had they told me something was wrong with my transmission I would have believed them and paid whatever it took. So thank you Chance transmission for the honest work.

Have worked with chance in the past and they have always done a great job, very friendly, prompt service and love the experience I always refer people to chance because of my great experiences. My vehicles run strong to this day and If they do fail it wont be because of the transmission.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!I had a rebuilt transmission placed in my van. It took them 10 DAYS to get it right...not once did they call me to let me know there was a problem...I HAD TO CALL THEM EVERYTIME!! They have the WORST communication skills EVER!! They admitted they DROPPED THE BALL ON THIS ONE. Jay and Jeff had ZERO sympathy for my big family!! TEN DAYS without our vehicle is OBSURD! When I got my van back it was below EMPTY and my van was SO dirty! They didnt even CARE! I sure hope I can help someone by writing this review...if you do decide to take it here...make sure you call EVERYDAY to see if they are even working on it!
