With so much competition, Westbrook Market remains my go to store. Their prices are reasonable, their depth of beers, cigarettes and roll your own supplies is great, but the real difference is the human factor. Never any attitude from anyone there ever. Glad to be a regular.

This is a surprising find. Great little store. But of a misnomer as its primarily a beer and wine shop. But it has quite the selection of both. The wine in particular is a great variety. They also have good sales, which varies based on whats available. Ive had some good buys just browsing the aisles.The owner is kind and funny, and Ive always been treated with courtesy.

Owne Maryanne is not nice to vendors. Suspicious, dismissive and unfriendly. Youre not special and neither is your store so stop kidding yourself.

Amazing selection of beer and wine, with some of the best prices! Excellent customer service! If there is something you are looking for, just ask. They are very accommodating and have special ordered many items for me. I also love that they sell local products - hot sauces, pickles, sweets, etc. Highly recommend!

Great place. Very good prices! HUGE selection of beer, wine, and all kinds of various other one of a kind convenience items! Staff are great. They remember their customers. Redemption is quick (and I go with large loads of returnables) and gives 6 cents instead of 5. I dont go anywhere else for my daily after work stop unless I absolutely have to!

Love this place! The staff are always friendly and they go above and beyond great customer service. Their prices are also some of the best in the area. I drive past quite a few stores just to get to this one =]

6 cents per can??? More like 3!!! This place has ripped me off twice now! I save large amounts of bottles before turning them in. I went in last night with 12 large 50 gallon trash bags full of returnables. Each bag contained @ least 100 cans easily (we counted one to get a general idea of how much $ we were getting back) and expected @ least $60 returned to us. We got $37... I generally dont give a S but I remembered 2 things: 1.) Last time we felt ripped off 2.) Time before that, police were called because a person felt ripped off to the point of brandishing a knife! We thought he was crazy! Now, idk... I do know Friendly Discount will prob have my business in the future though. Thanks for reading!

Staff are fantastic--dry, but sharp wit; amazing memory for regular customers. Prices on most merchandise are the best in the area. Redemption rate is 6 cents on returnables labeled 5 cents.

Very nice owners kind and they are always friendly we my husband and I go in there always have remembered us and some of the regular this we buy love having them in westbrook cause if I dont want to go to shaws or hannaford I dont have to they have almost everything I need or want here at this store

I took ten 50 gallon bags of returnables here from my work at a sandwich shop, about $150 worth. I drove 40 miles roundtrip from Raymond, after I was told they welcomed large loads here.When I arrived, there were two younger college aged kids sorting and one older guy named, Dave. Before unloading, I went in an told them how many bottles I had, and asked if it would be a problem? I told them that Id just driven from Raymond on other peoples recommendations.Immediately on getting them unloaded, Dave took a 1/2 hour break. The two college aged kids sorted five bags for me. They pulled out a few containers I missed with small amounts off liquid (among thousands without) I apologized. Explained they were from my work and customers throw junk in our bottle can in the dinning room, but I do my best to get the nasty stuff out. I then started going through my other bags with my bare hands to make sure there was nothing else.Dave then returned, and the two kids left on their break, with Dave left to count my remaining five bags. He got through 1 bag and found about five plastic bottles with a bit of liquid in them. He threw them on the counter and rudely told me those were disgusting and he wasnt taking them. That this was BS!I apologized. Tried explaining to him they werent my bottles from home and I try, but cant get every last thing out. Most of it, though. And I have too many to do myself at the grocery store machine.He didnt care. I asked him if I should go elsewhere? And that I thought theyd welcome the business? He was giving an attitude and being rude and nasty. I didnt curse at him or yell or anything. Simply asked in an exasperated tone, where do I go when I have 10 huge bags of commercial bottles, and that I thought that was what the redemption center was for? I was a bit exasperated after the drive and all the unloading. Id already patiently waited 50 minutes and let all the other customers with just a few bags go in front of me.When I started asking him where I should go. He told me he didnt care! When I asked him if he was the owner/manager, he said no, but they wont care either. Had to ask him his name three times before he would acknowledge me or tell me. He called me three f-bombs, an idiot, and an a-hole in front of other customers during this two minute exchange.For the first time in my life I went and complained to the manger about his attitude. I never complain! The owner told me to watch my language because there were children in the store when I was specifically telling him, verbatim, what Dave had just called me. He then told me that, Dave, had worked there eight years and wouldnt act like that. Then a worker comes from out back and tells them there were syringes in my bottles! (Well, nobody said a thing about them while I stood there watching for an hour. Dave looked like more of a junky than me, and I wonder if he maybe threw in one of his own needles after I went around front to complain?)I will never step foot in this store again. If my bottles were dirty, all they had to do was politely tell me they cant take them. Not ridicule me and insult me for brining them $150 of business! All theyve got to do is put on some latex gloves and pick the occasion dirty out. Its called doing a dirty job! I thought thats what redemptions centers do? I dont have a place to sort $150 of cans myself!

Best place to buy beer or wine in the state. Incredible selection, fair prices, and well organized. It is actually fun to browse through all the beers because there are so many one of a kind and unique varieties that you just cannot find at most stores. Owner is a great guy, very knowledgable and friendly with excellent rapport with regular customers. Definitely come through westbrook market if youre looking for beer, or tobacco products. There is no better selection or price in the area, and the staff is super helpful.

They are very friendly and have the best prices an take all coupons. I drive from Biddeford every week to get ciggs ; and can afford a carton here as they will take my coupons. Well worth the drive

Went in today looking for a certain wine that was way overwhelming looking for it in the grocery store I was greeted when I walked in she asked if she could help she guided me to the exact isle & shelf! I will be back!
