I have a 2019 Corvette ZR1 that I wanted to improve the safety systems on, add radar and laser as well as seriously upgrade the audio system. I looked everywhere for a team that could select the best equipment to satisfy my needs. Fortunately I found Sound In Motion. They handled all of my requirements and chose the best equipment available. They worked with me on every aspect of the install and when we ran into some problems with the equipment they continued to work until I was extremely satisfied. This team is well led and totally customer oriented. I can honestly say that I have never had the opportunity to work with such consummate professionals in my life. If there were 6 stars I would be giving them that rating. I will never use another company for my automotive needs!

15 years ago I had my 2006 VW Jetta outfitted with an amplifier and a Focal component speaker system. Im sad to report that after 15 years of trouble free use, the system needs to be removed because we are parting with the car. We enjoyed a quarter million miles listening to great sound in this car, and it wouldnt have been the same without it. Now, this same system will be re-purposed into another vehicle, and enjoyed for many years to come.

All the one star reviews are jokes. This is hands down the only place you should take your car for any installation. They installed a remote starter for me and were extremely accommodating for my schedule. I then talked to them about tinting my windows and originally they couldn’t fit me in until June, then Jim gave me a call and was able to do it a month sooner. I cannot praise them enough. This place is professional and accommodating.

Appreciated the knowledgeable advice without trying to pressure me into buying an audio system that is too elaborate for my needs.

Thank you Sound In motion for the great service. Just had 2 channel dashcam and radar detector hard -wired. Everything works great and I am very crazy about the car being clean after its been worked on and received the car the way I dropped it off.

My experience with Sound in Motion has been magnificent. I had a custom sound system installed into my Tacoma back in March 2020. When I got the truck back, I looked inside and it was as if nothing had happened. It was an extremely clean install.I had Dynamat Extreme sound deadening installed in all 4 doors and the back wall of the Tacoma, as well as inside the subwoofer box. Everyone comments that the truck cabin is very quiet and is comparable to riding in a luxury vehicle, which is what really brings out the high quality speakers the SIM team put together. Everyone who hears the system says how tight it is, no buzzes or vibrations, even at low volume, and is mind blowing at higher volumes.There were a few tweaks we had to make, which is typical of high end sound systems, due to a faulty tweeter. The process of narrowing down the problem was time consuming, but the SIM team was stellar!In the end, I ended up jumping at the chance to go ahead and upgrade the front stage speakers. All I can say is wow, I’m so happy I did, unbelievable!!Jim, whom I dealt with, is a very professional, honest and fair individual. I would highly recommend Sound in Motion for all of your vehicle upgrade needs. They just moved to Watertown into an awesome space, Im really happy for them.I’ll definitely be back for other work I’ll need in the future!I’m honored & pleased to have a sound system designed and installed by the Sound in Motion team!

I just had my stereo system installed in my BMW 335i ... Sound in Motion definitely delivers in terms of great customer service and 5-star installation quality. I am walking away an extremely happy camper as this is by far the best sounding system I have ever had . It has great clarity and volume thanks in part to the Mosconi amplifier and Focal speakers and the professional install. Just got my car back from Jim, Derek and the crew. They put in a sound system that is OUTRAGEOUS!!They had previously installed a radar detection system. I wasnt pleased with the placement of part of it. We discussed my issues/concerns and they relocated the part in question. No questions - youre not happy, were not happy - that was the attitude that I got. They wanted me to be satisfied not just do the job.That is why I go back to them. Theyre professional and take the time to make sure that I was pleased with what they did.I cant stress the attention to detail at this shop. Ive known of Sound in Motion and worked with Jim for a number of years, I frequently use them to have back-up cameras and various other equipment installed in my clients cars. He is always accommodating and quick to turn around any installations I send in for. Sounds in Motion really exemplifies a professional, custom installation. I wouldnt trust anyone else with my clients high-end cars.

Jim and his crew were extremely helpful and accommodating in selecting a remote starter. When I had some issues with my initial choice Sound in Motion took my car back and upgraded me to a working model.To anyone considering a 1 way remote start, I highly suggest springing extra for the 2 way. Throughout Boston I had a lot of issues with the 1 way disconnecting.

They asked 550 dollars to install a Dashcam in my car . The guy said it gonna take 4 hours to install a dash camera 😂😂😂. I get it done only in 100 dollars from somewhere else.

I called in and described my vehicle, he told me it would be $400 to install a remote start because my vehicles key had a sensor that had to be bypassed, I told him it didnt have such anti-theft measures, he argued and said it did and that I couldnt just go to Home Depot to make a copy of my key. I just made a plain copy of my car key at Home Depot and it works fine. Keep an eye out for this type of shake down if youre an unsophisticated customer; they will overcharge you without even taking a look at your car.

We drove our son to Boston from Arizona for surgery at Boston Childrens. The sound system stopped working while in Boston and I couldnt imagine a return drive without audio. I found SIM through Google....wow. They quickly determined the problem and offered a very reasonable solution. Jim Cavanaugh is a quality person...he cared about our personal situation and made time in the schedule that fit our availability.
