They were prepared and professional. All of your questions are answered, thoroughly knowledgeable of and operate in a timely fashion. Also helps you every step of the way. The one star they should have is the electronic feature at all locations to be able to get in and out securely of your locker. I feel it’s more convenient. Other than that they are great!!!!

Cheyenne deserves more that 5+ stars. Friendly, polite, great customer service, she explained everything to me. Walked me to my unit and made sure I got her business card in case I have questions later.

I have dealt with 2 young Black American Ladies at the Kenilworth location! They are some very sweet, pleasant, patient, eager to assist, joyful, professional and beautiful young ladies. To deal with the public on a daily basis is not easy when you have a variety of unpleasant to pleasant people that you encounter. These young ladies have made my transitions as pleasant as they possibly could. They are professional and thoughtful on the phone as well as in person. If I had my own business, I would personally invite them to work for my establishment and pay them well because excellent customer service is extremely hard to come by anymore nowadays. Everyone is so quick to put employees down when they are the ones that are LOUD, UNRULY, OBNOXIOUS, and WRONG. I, on the other hand, am quick to appreciate the good before I criticize the bad. I usually dont express the bad to others, I point out the good! I would recommend THIS particular location to everyone I know thats needing a good and CLEAN establishment to store their precious belongings. Because of these two young women, Ive decided to KEEP my precious belongings here! They deserve recognition and a pay raise! Give it to them!

Horrible horrible n very rude customer service..They charge what they want verses what online specials. Charge you for insurance when you have your own insurance.. the rude customer service young girl said you should of read your contract.. i will move as soon as i find the rate i was actually willing to pay base on the online rates.. because rudeness i will not tolerate.

I had my storage unit for a little over three years. Great customer service from start to finish. No issues with my belongings and the building itself was always impeccably clean. Check out was hassle free and the front desk staff was awesome.

Very good quality service- well-priced, clean storage units in a climate-controlled facility. The manager, Shay, is very friendly and helpful with everything, and she made the experience super easy. I would recommend having a car or being close if you choose the facility, but it was still relatively easy for me to access the unit and move out even though I didn’t have a car.

This used to be owned by another company (CubeSmart). Their staff and rules were at least fair. That has disappeared right along with the paint color. Storage facilities are already oppressive with their fees and all, but this place has got to be the lowest on the totem pole. Please, whatever you do, do not rent here. Go everywhere, anywhere else but here. The manager even said to me, thats why I dont use the service and I can get a free unit. I should have moved my belongings then, but had no other resource. STAY AWAY!

Secure! Clean! Climate-controlled! Helpful people! I do mean Secure...You need to put your access number in to access the building area, then again to access the building AND to use an elevator. Shay was really helpful with everything.

BEWARE! I have had a unit here for many months. I would give it Zero Stars if I could. It used to be a Cubesmart. Back then, it was not so badWhen it changed owners, they raised the late fee to 20%...a total ripoff! Management is dishonest and extremely rude at their Deanwood locations. They dont answer the phones...especially when you call to pay your bill. People smoke inside the facility and in the bathrooms; they drop the butts all over the place. Elevators are always brokenThey have squatters sleeping in the bathrooms and stairwells. My advice is DO NOT rent here.

The service is excellent, but however, the practices are Absolutely horrible. They bought out the previous owner then immediately raised my monthly rate. Its been raised every other month since then. Beware!

I was moved out of my parking spot despite paying my normal monthly rent, received an email notice telling me I was being moved out AFTER the move-out date, then given a rent increase without an explanation or response from the store manager. Luckily my trailer was at the dealer for install & repair work.If the store manager is reading this review, perhaps he can pick up the phone and speak to me personally, explaining my rent increase for a move-out that I didnt authorize, and was made in error by his own admission. Thats my review of CubeSmart Self Storage.

Great staff, good facility, but really need to do a better job enforcing your face mask policy. Just watched a guy go in and out multiple times with no mask on. Doesnt exactly make for a safe environment.

I would give this place a negative thousand if I could! I stored there for two years with no problem, or so I thought. One day I stopped by the unit to put fall clothes in and take spring clothes out and noticed a mouse dropping on the arm of my red couch. I called the main office and left a voicemail, but heard nothing for nearly a month. It wasn’t until they called to inquire about my automatic payment not processing (card expired) that I brought it up again. They assured me no one else had complained about a rodent problem and it was probably a new customer who attracted a lone mouse or brought one in. I said ok but I would bring my boyfriend to pull somethings out and see if there was more than one dropping.On a Saturday night we made it to the unit and began to pull furniture and boxes, purchased from Cubesmart out. When I moved the items out of the unit we found MORE mouse droppings. At that point I had two reactions, DISGUST, throw everything not in a plastic container or wrapped in plastic out, and SADNESS, because some of those items had sentimental value, baby stuff moms like to keep of lil ones.I ended up having my bf pack the furniture up in a UHAL when we got off work and dispose of it, but the more items we pulled out of the unit, the more disgusting the scene was. since the junk yard was closed my mom offered her back alley as an option for DC bulk pick up to pick the items up from. The next morning while cleaning her kitchen she noticed black specs on her counter top.I didn’t think they were mouse droppings at first but the more she found, the more my teeth cringed as I knew it had to be related to the items I left right outside of her backyard. My mom has been in that house for nearly two decades and has NEVER had a mouse in her single family home, not to mention a bunch of droppings on her counter tops, and dining room floor!They decided to put a wooden trap on the counter assuming the mouse would be caught, but hoping there was no mouse at all. The next morning low and behold a disgusting mouse was caught! But there was more droppings. Lots more. I regretted the mention of there being to many droppings for one mouse, but I had to. They decided to put another trap down just in case. The same night I turned all of the lights off in the kitchen and walked upstairs. By the time I got to the top of the stairs I heard POP! I yelled downstairs to my mom who was in her craft room and told I heard something in her kitchen. I could not believe it! ANOTHER mouse was caught!At that point I rushed to the nearest store and literally bought as many different types of trap we could find, 10 at night. I am petrified of any type of rodent but to have been the reason my mom suddenly had two mice in her house made me feel obligated to partially overcome my fear of rodents and literally put ten different types of traps around her kitchen and dining room.By the very next morning, ANOTHER disgusting mouse was caught. I have spent so much money paying for 1800 JUNK to come remove the infested furniture from behind my moms backyard, on every mousetrap, repellent, bait station, pest control inspector to inspect the house for entry points, and fast food because no one feels comfortable even cooking in the house YUCK not knowing how many found there way in.It’s been three days and I still have big plastic bins in the unit I thought I could salvage as I figured mice can’t get into BUT I literally have to throw years of furniture, and things away. I’m in the process of buying a house and will literally have to start from scratch now.What did Cubesmart’s management say, “we are under new ownership and you have to expect these types of things when storing in a warehouse.” No regard.DO NOT STORE HERE! If u don’t believe the receipts are in the photo section.

The flexibility of you staff (especially Jahmal and Shay) with assisting me with selecting a unit that was more appropriate for my storage needs than a I had originally reserved. The unit that I ultimately selected was cleaned and reserved for me until my move in. Great job, guys.

My boyfriend got himself locked in after hours which was a little ridiculous (I recommend they install motion sensors and allow exit!). But, Mike at the 855 number answered and kindly waited while I did a 3 way call and got us a code to escape. Yay Mike! Thank you and please look into ways to make sure it doesnt happen to anyone else! Mike was patient and kind. Answered quicky (at 10:30 pm) and fixed the situation quickly. 5 stars for him. 4 stars because there was no option for resolving the situation on site.(a big sign with the number wouldve helped)

Jamal was the best agent EVER!!! Explained things clearly, was polite, had a good sense of humor and was very relatable. He detected my NY accent, no one ever does!! I’m very pleased with the cleanliness of the entire place!! No mice terds seen like at the easy storage on eastern ave. I had over a year and a half of experience with them. Great service, but the mouse problem grossed me out!!! Mouse poop all over my boxes. Needless to say I am happy now that I have found a clean and safe place to store my belongings.

After having stored items in your facility for a few months, my sister noticed mouse droppings all over the place. Immediately, we took the items out of storage for the city to pickup. Just as soon as she brough her stuff home, our house had mice droppings. The mice from your storage unit made their way into her stuff and our house. Weve already caught 3 mice in 3 days. Just how many mouse are in that storage facility?

I would give 6 stars I could. First, the facility is brand new, climate controlled, and immaculate. Secondly, the staff was incredibly helpful, and when our moving team arrived, and we needed a bigger unit on extremely short notice, they were able to help without a problem. The general manager is VERY RUDE! and seems like she loves to talk over people. The regular employees are WAAAAY more professional and friendly than her.

Cheap prices, employees were very helpful and respectful

I went here to buy a few boxes amd inquire about storage. The sales associate that helped me on Tuesday was very knowledgeable. Although he seemed a bit nervous his customer service was outstanding. He was able to relate and make me feel comfortable.

I made an online reservation which saves 15%. However, once I got to the facility, I was told I would need to pay an extra $12 a month for insurance, and if I did not have a lock, I would be charged for one. I told the employee named Frankie that the information should have been included. One unprofessional action Frankie insisted on doing 3 times was calling me Mr. and then using my first name - not my last. When I insisted on not being called out my name, I was transferred to an employee name Rico - which was for the best. Rico was courteous, well informed and most of all professional. He made me feel better about spending my money. The facility itself is modern, easily accessible even after hours (up until 10:00 PM). If not for the immature employee and the missing online information, I would give this facility a 5 star rating.

Reco, the gentleman who helped me, was absolutely amazing. The facilities were clean and orderly. I cant recommend the location enough if you need to store your belongings. The customer service alone is well worth choosing this store.

Brand new building. Storage unit was clean. Property manager said that there had been no incidences of break ins. Only issue was that insurance was required ($12/mo) and it wasnt made clear to me when I got my quote online that I should anticipate that recurring cost.

So there are things in life that are supposed to be painful, like getting a root canal or cleaning up after your basement floods or moving, and then there are things that you hope will be painless but rarely are....like renting at a storage facility. I recent went to look at some spaces at the kenilworth facility and was hapily surprised at how helpful and easy Durell made the whole process that I had to make a google account and write a review calling him out. He was out on the property cleaning, as soon as he saw me he rushed out to make sure that I was taken care of. He never rushed me made sure I understood all the information that was presented , and even helped me look at some moving supplies . I left the kenilworth location confident and plesantly suprised!!!

Keeping clean and smell good

I am dissatisfied with the company at this time I had my items storage on Saturday July 4th, was told my key would be in unit upon my arrival but when the movers got there the unit was unlock no key so I just place my items in there and lock it up because the movers couldnt take it back, Im now trying to figure out how do I retrieve my key to the unit.this is very up setting

Cubesmart on Kenilworth Avenue NE is a fantastic facility. It is kept very clean. The service is well beyond the level Id expect from a DC storage facility. Reco, the manager, goes out of his way to help out, whether its grabbing a cart or offering a cup of coffee. Its easy to come and go, while at the same time security is a priority there.
