Each time Id make a trip to Washington DC, I make it a point to visit the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. I am at peace with every visit. It has numerous altars, a huge cafeteria and a gift shop downstairs.

They are very careful with their Covid precautions. A very fully stocked shop - something for everyone.

As the largest Catholic Church in the Western hemisphere, youd expect it to have a nice gift shop, and it does! Two really, although one is mostly a book store and one mostly a gift shop.In the gift shop youll find a wide variety of art tapestries, statues large and small. Youll find a other assortment of crucifixes, pixes, holy water bottles. They even have the occasional kids toy and just DC related things as well. You can certainly buy a cathedral quality items at cathedral quality prices, but you can also just get smaller and cheaper items at reasonable prices. Some stuff is overpriced, sure. But the proceeds go towards upkeep of this amazing building and grounds and all the great things that they do!
