The absolute best choice for dry eye! I had been suffering for years, and now my eyes are drastically better after only three months of proper treatment. Dr. Abraham is excellent. He explains things very clearly and listens to concerns with compassion. I really appreciate his help and cannot recommend Washington Eye Doctors highly enough, especially for dry eye patients.

I have been with Washington Eye Doctors for 50 years since the Katz/Kanstroom days. They guided me through bifocals as a kid, contacts as an adolescent and Lasik as an adult. 25 years after Lasik I still have near perfect vision. I just went back for night driving glasses. Always quick, efficient and thorough consistently over the decades.

They did the regular eye examination for me and said it would cost 68$, but when I received my insurance receipt, it costs 235$. Obviously they did extra examination that I didnt ask. And they even want me to pay it by cash at the moment I left the clinic. Its not honest and I hope people to know it. I went due to its high rate on Google and went home felt cheated.

Dr Rosenblatt has been my eye doctor for many years and worked with me to get my proper correction for nearsightedness. My extra-sensitive system was previously over-corrected and his prescriptions enabled my vision to be more relaxed and stabilize. The glasses are high quality and good fit. I’m especially fond of the nearly weightless frames and lenses.

I’ve been a customer and patient at Washington Eye Doctors for about a year and a half.Overall it’s been great. The front desk staff are pleasant. Dr. Rosen later is knowledgeable, kind and takes time to answer questions and explain things in layman’s terms.I think perhaps one of their frame and lens specialists might need more training on listening to the customer and clearly understanding my needs before recommending something that doesn’t work (i.e. fit me properly).But the other two I’ve worked with have been excellent.

Dr. Friedman is the best! I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now. The staff are friendly and attentive. Sean was very patient in helping me find the perfect pair of glasses! I have a rather strong prescription and Dr. Friedman has worked with me to try various contacts lenses - from custom soft to hybrid. Highly recommend!!

Here on vacation and forgot my contact lenses. This office happily agreed to accept a faxed prescription from my hometown optometrist. When I arrived to purchase my lenses, I was given 5 pairs for free! Such an unexpected kindness. Highly recommend this office to anyone, you will be taken care of!

They are so great! They take you soon after you come in, and the front desk is so helpful with any insurance or billing issues you might have. The doctors are so nice, and I loved chatting with the people who adjust the glasses before I left!

I never feel rushed during my appointments. Dr. Andrea Friedman takes her time, answers all of my questions, and I dont feel like anyone in the office has tried to push products on me. I have given them the parameters I wanted to work within, and then they told me my options. They also let me know my options outside of them, but I never felt pushed into anything. Quick and reliable services!

I just saw a new, young optometrist, Dr. Abrams, and was very pleased with his quick grasp of my somewhat complicated issues and how to resolve them, all the time engaging in a calm and thoughtful manner. Its great to see young, highly qualifed staff joining the practice.

Dr. Rosenblatt is current on all the latest developments in his field and is truly dedicated to your eye health. He doesnt push to do unnecessary changes to prescriptions or treatments.The staff is professional and the eyewear is very high-end. You will pay dearly for everything, but you only get one set of eyes in life. Worth the money.

Dr. Friedman has a great bedside manner. Dr Rosenblatt (talked to him through the on call service) not so much. But the real review is that upon requesting my records to go see a specialist for an eye concern, they charge $10 for it. I’ve never once in my life had to pay someone to fax my records. A “copy” fee to fax records. That’s insane and just like how some people say this place is a ripoff, this makes me feel the same. $10 to fax records. I’m literally baffled. I had like 2 visits, so I have a skinny file. $10. On principle, this really makes me mad. AND THEN, when I call to clarify that the charge is for faxes too, the receptionist explains, “yeah I get charged for my medical records when I request them.” Well go to doctors that aren’t trying to shake you down. I checked with the doctor I’m going to—guess what, they don’t charge to get your records. Surprise surprise. The doctor that I was previously at in my home town who faxed records to W.E.D? Didn’t charge me for those records. Through moving to college, law school, summer internship locations, etc. I’ve had very many records requested in life—ever get charged? Nope. I mean maybe they figure at this point you’re on your way out anyway so might as well stick it to you, but I actually wasn’t really on my way out for routine eye visits. I was only going to this other doctor for a specialist visit because he has a speciality with a specific rare eye condition. And I wondered why they wouldn’t have their records request form on their site—well now I know. That’s where they reveal the charge ($10 for first 10 pages then $.50 per page). They don’t tell you about the charge when you call to ask them to send you a records request form. They let you find out when you get the form. I understand having to find and pull records isn’t a fun task, but I think it’s fair to say that’s kind of in the office staff’s job description.

I LOVE Dr. Rosenblatt and have been seeing him for 14 yrs, so this does not reflect my experience with him or the team that supports with various testing before meeting with him. My feedback is for the team who schedules appointments. I was frustrated this time because I scheduled my appointment in advance, specifically noting that I wanted to see Dr. Rosenblatt. I shouldn’t really have to note this, since I’ve been seeing the same person for 14 years, but I still made it clear. I received appointment confirmation and saw that I was scheduled to see a different person, which was a shock to me. Why would I not have been told about this? I called to reschedule and was told I wouldn’t be able to see my doctor for THREE MONTHS. I couldn’t believe that their mistake was going to lead to me not having an appointment for months. I absolutely understand that Dr. Rosenblatt is booked and was the only doctor for months, but the mistake was not made by me and it was frustrating that I would be penalized for it. Thankfully the person I spoke to on the day of was able to squeeze me in same-day and I have a wonderful experience from there. I just ask going forward that the individuals responsible for appointments are more careful and transparent, recognizing that a change in appointment due to challenges like these might result in a very long wait that won’t be met with positive reactions from their clients.

Dr. Michael Rosenblatt has been my eyecare provider for over 20 years and I have received consistetly excellent service from him. He is very knowledgeable and follows up closely on all my eye health issues including through his offices optical services. It is very easy to make appointments with his excellent staff.

The wait was reasonable. Dr. Rosenblatt took the time to do a thorough exam and chat a little. Sean Solomon, the optometrist who helped pick glasses, was very helpful and professional.

I’ve been of patient of Dr. Rosenblatt for over 10 years. He first spotted my age related macular degeneration and immediately sent me to a retina specialist. He’s and his staff are thoroughly and make you feel comfortable.

For eye care, this place is the best! My last visit was just to pick out new glasses. The optician was so helpful and seemed to really want me to be happy with my choice. I had broken my old pair and he rushed the new ones. Everyone is friendly and competent. What more could you ask?

I didn’t appreciate being charged 70$ for a contact fitting ( as part of my annual covered by insurance) when my contacts haven’t changed in 10 years. Complete waste of money and I’ll be making sure to make my prescription last for 2 years. Also could not believe the exorbitant price for computer glasses offered.

It nice and refreshing to see when you walk into a dr office a smile, a friendly voice, and not a long wait. Having coffee and tea is a plus too. Dr. Rosenblatt and his staff are wonderful. For about 25 years, I’ve worn RGP lenses. Not a ton of doctors still specialize in them, so when I moved to DC about 10 years ago I had a heckuva time trying to find a new optometrist. I am thrilled with the attentiveness, care and communication from Dr. Rosenblatt and his team.

Very thorough and professional, with a great location across the street from the Metro Station. Also a very good selection of frames to choose from. A full service Eye Doctors.

Husband and I have been seeing Dr. Klessman for ~10 years now. Hes fabulous. His staff are very thorough and have made insurance filing very straightforward for all eye issues. Its never a long wait and the office is conveniently situated near the metro.

I’ve been to several optometrists in DC and Maryland and Dr. Rosenblatt and his staff are by far the best. Dr. Rosenblatt and his technicians were knowledgeable, understanding and made sure all of my questions were answered and that I left with solutions each visit. In addition to Dr. Rosenblatt himself, his technicians and those working at the front desk were also extremely kind and helpful!

I absolutely adore Dr. Rosenblatt! I have been a patient for many years. He is the only reason I return to the practice.I want to give 5 stars BUT the office staff needs some customer service training. I was sent a text for a review and listed in detail how unprofessional the staff was with me. The office manager called me to ask for specifics. To which I review the list of unpleasant occurances that happened during my visit.He asked me to come back and I did, since I was only there to get dilated I am normally asked if now is a good time to look at frames. Yes the frames are expensive however I love the selection. To my surprise I was not asked if I need to get frames I even walked around to looked at frames. I need to also mention, I was the only person walking around that area at the time and was not approached by anyone. Lets just say that is 600-700 dollars I am keeing in my pocket.Again I love Dr Rosenblatt, I have even referred people to him, I explained to not have high hopes on the staffing. One this to keep in mind do not let money walk out the door.

I have been a patient of Dr. Michael P. Rosenblatts for 12+ years. The staff has always been professional, polite, accommodating, and pleasant to be around. Dr. Rosenblatt is knowledgeable, friendly, and reliable. I have never had an issue and have recommended at least 5 friends to them.Within the last 4 years I had to change insurance companies which meant that I had to change eye doctors. Even with a long absence upon my return I was treated like family. Although I only visit for contact lenses he is still my favorite eye doctor in the city and I will continue to recommend the Washington Eye Doctors.

Dr Freedman was very helpful with diagnosing and quickly treating a problem I had - all the staff here are very friendly and efficient.

A complete rip-off. My primary concern is that when I showed up for my initial appointment, I said from the get-go that I wanted to be measured for spooky Halloween contacts. Dr. Rosenblatt kept blowing me off, and I kept bringing it up. He finally said, well, we have to order them and then see how they fit in your eyes. Two appointments to get fitted for lenses? Weird. But I kept pushing it. I said to go ahead and order them, and he said okay. I felt like the entire time, he was giving me a hard sell on all of their own products, trying to get me to buy everything from them. But fine, as long as they were price-matching. After the appointment, I then looked at the poor selection of glasses for a while, and the guy helping me himself said that they really had a bad selection. No luck getting glasses, and they suggested I come back when they got in an order... a few months later.When I called back on another day to set up the appointment to have the crazy contact lenses checked, they said that they hadnt ordered the lenses. Instead, they said that I needed to come back for a second appointment to be measured. But I was measured already. No, I apparently I wasnt. But why wasnt I? Because thats another appointment. Well, they should have measured me while I was there. But they hadnt. I said, okay, I would come in for yet another measuring appointment and for the third appointment to then have the lenses checked once in my eyes to make sure they were okay, but since I had asked to be measured at the first appointment, I shouldnt have to pay for the second one. They refused. They said I would be charged for all three appointments. Seriously? I have to pay for THREE appointments to get fitted for a single pair of contact lenses. Thats BS. I have been wearing contacts for 25 years, and I have never had to have three appointments to get fitted for a single pair of lenses. Its a total rip-off.

Dr. Rosenblatt and his staff have been invaluable with helping me manage my keratoconus for the last 25 years.

My partner injured his eye and after ER visit, he needed to see a doctor for more complex follow up procedures. I️ submitted the online appointment application form (office was closed to call as it was already too late), explaining briefly what happened. I️ received the response 8 AM the next day (from Dr Friedman) advising my partner to go see a different doctor who would be more appropriate for the type of injury he had. In the email they provided all the details and explained how to get seen by a doctor (specializing in eye surgery) asap.Even though we didn’t get to visit this clinic and Dr Friedman, we are very grateful to them for providing us with all the information and help on such a timely manner! They knew the time was very important to us and acted very efficiently by referring us to the appropriate clinic!We have seen the doctor at a clinic Dr Friedman advised today, the same day.Thank you again!

Ive been a patient of this practice since 1977 and have found the doctors and staff to be dedicated and caring. Highly recommended.

First, the positives. I love the fact that the nurses who do the preliminary testing and intake for each appointment talked with me and took notes by hand. They helped me address my eye dryness issue, which was great! They also use photo imaging and other newer technologies, which made me feel that my eyes were in great hands, so to speak. I always felt that my prescriptions were accurate.However, this office has a lot of administrative difficulties. One time I showed up for my scheduled appointment--with the postcard confirmation they had mailed to me in hand!--and they told me I didnt have an appointment. I had taken time off work to come in for my exam, and I was supposed to have some regular tests done as well. They were irritated as they agreed to work me in, and I got many dirty looks and heard them muttering about how I had showed up without an appointment. The scheduling error wasnt mine, but even if it had been, that behavior was rude. Dr. Klessman saw me, and actually yelled at me when I had trouble with a particular test that involved him touching an instrument to my eyeball. Its understandable to be stressed when a scheduling glitch occurs, but I felt a bit bullied.I recently switched eye doctors because I no longer work in the city. When I called and asked them to transfer my records to my new doctor, they told me they would have to charge me $10 to do so. And then they didnt even send the documents to my new eye doctor--they mailed them to my house instead! Now I have to drive them over to my new doc myself.Quite bizarre and unprofessional treatment...

It was a great experience having Sean Solomon help me fine the right three pair of eyeglasses. Sean took the time needed, made suggestions and was professional through the whole process.

I have been going to this office for over a decade. First seeing Dr. Klessman(retired) now seeing Dr. Rosenblatt. Like with Dr. Klessman, Dr Rosenblatt is very knowledgeable, thoughtful, caring and easy to talk to which I like because of my eye situation. I had a bad experience with an eye doctor while living in Atlanta and trust me i didnt realize how important communication with any doctor was until that experience. So I appreciate the communication and kindnesss I get from Dr. Rosenblatt. The staff is always friendly and professional. I had a great experience with Sean the optician. He was very knowledgeable, professional and explain everything so I would understand and took his time while I decided how to proceed in getting frames.

They were the only eye doctors in Washington who worked to fit me in when I had terrible irritation in my eyes. Dr. Kessler was thorough and friendly. The office is clean and nice. I noticed they dont leave people sitting in the waiting room for long periods of time. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

I was amazed at the results of my eye exam today! Id had my eyes examined 8 months ago at visionworks (18th & k st, nw) and after going back and forth a minimum of 6 times for adjustments, I came away with contact lenses that had me with blurred vision. I couldnt believe this was the best I could get with contacts so I decided to pay out of pocket to go somewhere else. A friend highly recommended Dr. Rosenblatt so i decided to give him a try. I AM SO GLAD I DID!!! I walked out today with clear vision. I couldnt believe how easy it was for me to read the signs as i drove . While it was a large sum of money for me ought of pocket, being able to see clearly is priceless! Thanks Dr Rosenblatt!
