Great ambiance, our waitress was friendly and attended to us in a timely manner….the food was delicious!

Had an absolutely wonderful lunch here. Delicious grilled cheese and very fresh and bright tomato soup. My friends thoroughly enjoyed their brunch as well, because they have all-day brunch and all-day lunch! So many delicious choices all day. The service from Felicia was excellent, as were the espresso drinks. Especially nice that there is so much outdoor seating.

Delicious BLAT, fries were to die for. Iced coffee was great too. The staff was lovely and tried their best, although they seemed understaffed.

Definitely a neighborhood hub... no ambiance, no warmth, not very inviting at all. I was missing a Southern delight - Biscuits and Gravy and saw that someone raved about it. NOT! One dry, hard as a rock biscuit with a flavorless side of greasy gravy... Hard pass on this spot going forward.

While the stuffed French toast was great, the biscuits and gravy were absolutely terrible. The biscuit itself was hard and flavorless, and the gravy was no better. I’d never had a sausage gravy made with what I’m pretty sure were Vienna sausages, and I hope I never have to again.

I always enjoy the food. They are in need of servers and wait staff, so service has been a little slower than usual. If you choose to add items to your meal, such as avocado, or oat milk for a latte, be sure to ask how much extra it will cost. I feel like the extra charges are hidden.For example, we ordered the hash bowl, with no mushroom, no onion, no ham, add avocado. There was no need to charge for the avocado!None the less, it is a sweet neighbor spot.Highly recommend the breakfast burrito.

Coupe is always a solid choice (been before); went back for brunch and drinks. Had their delicious Hot Maple cider and Iced Irish coffee; fries were pleasantly crispy. They have unique items as well, try their Coupe Fries and Sriracha Wings. Significant outdoor seating that is spaced with social distancing in mind.ig: @harshaeats

Got the fried chicken and biscuit, which was tasty. Hubby got the heuvos rancheros, which was also amazing. So glad to have found a neighborhood breakfast/brunch place. We will be back!

I love the Coupe and I’ll keep coming back here but the food has been pretty consistently disappointing recently. Just things like tofu scramble was unseasoned and a salad that was missing multiple ingredients.

This is a solid brunch spot, good for large groups and good for a date, but the food is nothing special. I wish the bagels were fresher. Thankfully it’s reasonably priced and the food comes quickly.

Solid brunch place in my neighborhood! Only wish they put more syrup in the latte for more defined flavors. Couldn’t taste the cherry blossom so I asked for 3 more pumps which were given generously, but I had to ask though. Y’all should be bolder with flavors!

They’re having all their friends and family leave good reviews lately because of the influx of bad ones from everyone who has visited lately. This place will make you wait, and wait, and wait for a simple coffee. This place does NOT think it needs to address any management nor staffing issues. This place is a joke and there are far better options in DC.

Rude staff. I ordered a coffee and waited 35 mins for it while I witnessed a customer ask for another coffee and they received it immediately. After bringing said customer their coffee, I was asked if I was still waiting on mine.After finishing what I ordered, I was ignored for a solid hour waiting for my check. Once I paid the check (I tipped generously) and for another coffee to go, I waited another solid half hour until I was asked if I was still waiting on that coffee. When I got it, it was the wrong one.After I left, I called to kindly let management know we’re they could improve a little and the “manager” made it clear that they did not care if a customer has had a bad experience. I was verbally made aware that they could afford to lose customers.

I finally made my way to the Coupe after passing by several times. I loved the matcha latte and the cute little animal crackers we received with it. It was pretty loud inside and quite packed but we were able to join the waitlist prior to heading in. The food was delicious! A little heavy but great after a long night out. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

The wait and prices are simply not worth it. This establishment acts like they are royalty and you are peasants lol. It’s coffee, guys. Shouldn’t take an hour to receive a coffee.

The food was amazing, the service was great, the only thing was there were so many fruit flies that were constantly circling us. I wanted to set up traps for them. I guess you gotta take the bad with the great. Absolutely have the coupe fries. Its worth every penny of it.

The hash brown bowl and the shrimp and grits. This was good, a solid option. Portions were big for god prices. The loss of star is for only providing four shrimp for a very large bowl of grits and no other toppings to help add to the substance of the dish. The flavors were great, I just wish there was more substance than just grits and a few shrimp. In fairness, they are jumbo shrimp. I would also like to have seen more black tea options, as their hot teas were dominantly green.

You are greet and the quickly rush you to a table... We sat by a window the table was small. You use the window area for extra space. If you ask for coffee you will also get animal crackers... Though that was cute... The food was tasty... I remembered when it was redesigned into this restaurant... Inside still have some history and uniqueness. I dont believe you get refill on coffee. Once you are done they remove your plates and the check is brought to you at once....

Its alright, the food is not the best diner fare esp for the price, but it gets the job done and is a great brunch spot. Go for that if you want a low-key place that wont be swarmed on a Sunday morning.

Be prepared to wait 35 mins for an americano while you witness another customer ask a waiter for another latte and immediately receive it. They keep making excuses about being understaffed but I know there are employees they did not hire back after reopening.

The food is really amazing and the service is as great. I recommend you try them out when you have a chance. They have an excellent menu too.

I’ve been to this place once before and I really loved the food and the service at that time. But I went in Friday April 27, 2018 at around 4 and it was like I went in another place. We were seated right away and brought water by the host I guess. We waited approximately 10 minutes for our server to come by and take our drinks order his name was “Dennis V” I must say he was the most unprofessional server I’ve seen so far. We obviously didn’t know the menu, my friend was asking him questions about the dish she wanted to order and he kept laughing as she was dumb and didn’t answer back like a normal human being would. He took our order, everything took forever to come even our drinks...which the food came before our drinks actually. I asked him for mayo and instead of saying “yes, I’ll be right back” or just a simple yes he nodded at me. We spend about an hour in the restaurant and he only came by once to check on us. The food was “Okay” I don’t know if it tasted like that because I was pissed off at the server or it was just not good.- Please hire people who are not mad at the world and will treat customers right. And they will want to come back. Or train them properly for goodness sake-This place is so close to my house but I won’t be coming back because the SERVICE SUCKS.

Very delicious, pricey. They give you funny looking animal crackers with your hot beverages. I went here a couple times and the quality of the food was consistent. The quality of the drinks was exceptional and I enjoyed the matcha and the ginger lemonade the best. The staff was also very warm and pleasant and kindly offered my directions when I was leaving to the museums. I would definitely go again!

The food is really good and the menu is really diverse and changes often. They always have great seasonal dishes and they serve breakfast all day! The cocktails and drink selections are really good too and the vibe is super cozy. I’ve always had great service too.

Absolutely amazing food and drinks. I recommend the hash brown bowl and hot dirty chai. I usually stick to soda or sweet iced coffees but the hot dirty chai tastes so good!

Bruh. Explain to me why I hate arugula but I ate damn near an entire plate of the stuff with a tostada and loved it. Make it make sense.

The Coupe is very overrated. I suppose you could do worse for a neighborhood spot, but the food here is just extremely basic, bordering on tasteless. The soda is always watery, the glasses are always dirty, and the service is always slow.The servers are generally very nice, but they would have to be Mary Freaking Poppins to make up for all the other flaws this place has.

A quaint cafe with great coffee and breakfast foods.Not too pricey but coffee refills are $1.50. Id say youd generally need just one cup.I highly recommend the pan-fried tofu as it comes sautéed with mushrooms, onions, and mini zucchini. Absolutely fresh and delicious.

My wifes busicuit was hard as a rock. Meal was supposed to come with an egg, did not. No effort to make it right or comp any of bill. This place has really gone downhill.

I dined here 3 times over the course of 4 days during my recent visit to DC. Breakfast twice and once for dinner. The food is very good. I highly recommend the shrimp and grits for breakfast, the spinach dip starter and the katsu chicken sandwich. The Greek omelette was underwhelming. Service was mostly good, however Im detracting a star because during my dinner I was brought the starter and entree together. Why on earth would I want two plates of food in front of me at once?Seems to be common issue with restaurants these days. Its called a starter for a reason! Anyway, rant aside, I recommend The Coupe, it was my favorite restaurant of all that I dined at during my visit.

If youre seeking a space to watch your life slowly slip away, this is the destination for you.

Was pretty disappointed with the hash bowl I got last week. I used to go to the Coupe for this bowl all the time. Not sure if the chef has changed or what, but I’ll give them a pass. This was the only bad experience I’ve had out of many.

Really cool, open ambiance with a Euro-chic vibe. My lox bagel was great, but Im deducting a star just because our service was very slow. However, i definitely recommend this place for brunch!

Stopped in for breakfast with a friend and ordered the blueberry pancakes, the sausage, and a cup of coffee. The first stack of pancakes came out with a significant amount of raw batter and had to go back. The second stack came out with dense, moist batter and I knew then that I wouldn’t be coming back again. The staff was courteous and the coffee was actually very good, but for 25$+ you can do a lot better than this spot.

We moved out of the neighborhood and hadnt been back for a while. Its gotten quite a bit better for brunch than it used to be!

Missed going here back when I had an “after the club” life. Remember people, dancing, in the same room??? #Dreams. Lavender Mocha latte all day here.

I feel like the Coupe always provides an updated, less greasy, more complex take on diner food. The atmosphere feels neighborhoody and Im always glad I went.

So after an ok experience management went above and beyond!; Due to covid-19 its a bit understaffed, understandably but took constructive criticism very well and we had a great experience the second time around. I also noticed they took initiative to hire new staff and was actively listening and taking action to make their business the best they can! great management and would gladly revisit!

Awesome brunch place (until 5!), great cocktails, delicious food. The fried chicken dishes are especially good, and try a breakfast cocktail.

Nice, relatively calm place to get work done after hours. The staff was nice enough to lend me an outlet head for my USB chord to charge my phone. I come here when I need to grab hot cider, a slice of pie and get some more studying done. Love The Coupe.

How can you be upset when getting an animal cracker with your coffee? The staff here was great at helping me pull off popping the question to my partner during breakfast. I am a little bias to how nice our time was at the restaurant because he said yes, but try it for yourself!

Good brunch...pricey and poor parking.

Went for early brunch and it was OK. Service was inconsistent (waiter forgot eggs and took a while to bring check) and the food was nothing special. Had the chicken biscuit, biscuit was a bit dry. The hashbrown and the drinks were really good though so if you ate looking for a place to grab a drink this may be fine. Otherwise, there are better food places around.

The Coupe is one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and I love their happy hour especially. Everything I’ve eaten/drank here has been delicious. Service, while pleasant, can be hard to come by; you’ve got to budget an extra hour into your meal to account for how difficult it is to find someone to order with, get your check, and pay. Definitely not a place to go if you have somewhere to be, but for a leisurely dinner date, it is awesome.
