Brian and Jamie at Metro Motor are amazing! They replaced my driver’s side mirror that had been knocked out. They had to order the part from Honda (which they did immediately!) and had it in the next day. They repaired the car within a few hours of the part coming in so that I could take it on a trip the next morning. Brian and Jamie and the other guys are so busy and work so hard at what they do. They are friendly and professional and simply know the ins and outs of any make of car. I have taken our van down there numerous times now and had a positive experience every time. I know they would appreciate my making an appointment to drop my car in but every time, it seems it’s been an emergency and I have just had to take it down there with little advance notice and they are always very understanding and respectful and just incredibly accommodating. I love this place and everyone who works there! Highly recommend!!

My experience at Metro Motor was excellent! Jamie was very professional, knew what parts were needed to fix the car and took care of ordering them. It was a quick turnaround from the time he got the parts in to my car being completely fixed. Jamie made sure to follow up and make sure that the car was fixed properly and that there was nothing else that needed to be done. I highly recommend using this location for any repairs needed.

After I couldn’t get a Honda service center to figure out a shifting problem I was having with my old CRV, I turned to Metro Motor. A couple of hours later, they figured out what the problem was. Now the stick shifts as smoothly as when it was new, and the price was fair and reasonable for the repairs. I give them a well-deserved five stars!

I was visiting my friend who lives in Dupont Circle. I woke up to a dead battery after driving from North Carolina the day before. After receiving a jump, I called Metro Motor and asked if they could change my battery on a Friday afternoon. I was afraid I would have to drive out to one of the many auto parts stores in the suburbs of DC and lose a lot of time on my vacation. Jamie was quick to say yes, come right over. My car had a new battery and I was back home before 4 PM on a Friday afternoon. That was a miracle. The whole process was easy and stress free. Plus I was able to walk around Georgetown while the work was being completed. I received a text that my car was ready a half hour before I expected. Every time I come here I leave Happy. The guys don’t try and take you for a ride by doing things you don’t need done and yet still go above and beyond. I went In with a flat tire that needed either fixed or replaced. And told them if you can’t fix it I’ll need two new front tires. A shady place would’ve just taken that and run with it. Instead they fixed my tire and rotated them for me. They gave me a water on the house since I had Been running around all day without a car. Every single person in there has always been so kind and gracious to me and it’s really comforting knowing I have Somewhere I can Trust to go for my car needs.

Metro Motor provides exceptional diagnostic and repair service, but their key differentiator is their “customer first” business model. After arriving in DC I was involved in a 5 car hit and run. I called more than 6 repair shops seeking help in an unfamiliar city for an unanticipated problem and 5 declined to engage. Metro Mobile immediately took my car and calmed my rattled disposition, diagnosed the problem--on a Saturday afternoon after closing--ordered the parts, and prioritized repairing my car to drivable condition on Monday to get me on the road home. In short, Metro Motor wants to be the best in DC and works tirelessly to achieve their standing in technical expertise, service and customer care. Theirs is a dying business model so take advantage of the team when you are in the market for car repair.

Superb treatment. For the past 4 or 5 years, I have had trouble with the tire pressure warning light on my Honda turning on without much change in the pressure. Metro motor said that the likely culprit was a problem with the electrical monitor, common to Hondas. And suggested replacing the monitor or disconnecting it. Because replacement was far more expensive, I opted for the latter. Two months have gone by and the fix has worked like a charm. No change in tire pressure, and no annoying blinking.

My 15-year-old Mini Cooper needed a lot of TLC, and she was transformed after a visit to Jamie’s shop. The exhaust system was noisy and in terrible shape, and she’s running great now. I felt confident that I was in good hands and that all the proposed repairs were essential. They really went above and beyond, and were super friendly and communicative on top of it all. My car broke down at 1am. Had it towed to the Metro Motor in Georgetown. By 8am at opening, I called them and they immediately picked up and found out what was wrong within the hour. They had my alternator replaced, battery charged, and oil changed all by 1pm the following day. A 12 hour turnaround period! Incredibly fast and professional! I was very fortunate to have my car in their care.

I just took my car to Metro Motor at Georgetown Exxon for the first time as I was looking for a more conveniently located repair shop. I came in for an oil change, to have the check engine light turned off, and for a overall safety check. They said they could take my car the same day that I called. I dropped off the car in the evening and they had checked out the car and found one problem by the next afternoon. They called me to talk through the issue and waited for my confirmation that I wanted the repair done. Jamie ordered the part that afternoon and my car was ready the next evening. Overall, very efficient service in a convenient location. They theoretically still offer the free Lyft drop off/pick up as advertised on their website, but the manager has to be there and it is only during business hours, so I ended up not using it and getting there myself which was easier to coordinate than having them call the Lyft.

Got both of my front windows broken so I called AAA to tow me to this auto shop pretty late at night. They had my windows fixed the next day and even took the time to clean up all of the broken glass that was inside the car.

Flexible pickup timing is nice, AAA discount is small but a nice perk if you’re towed there. Took my car for an oil change and tire rotation. When I got home I looked at the receipt and noticed that the tire rotation wasnt listed. I called and left a message and Jamie called me back. I’ve used them for both of my vehicles- Toyota RAV4 and Volkswagen Tiguan - with excellent service. I was going to get my car fix today. As I was walking to the door I overheard manager Jamie belittle and disrespect one of the young employees in such a disgusting fashion. I had to take my business elsewhere. I was extremely disappointed with this “managers” behavior, and hope he receives Human Resources classes and LEARNS HOW TO SPEAK TO PEOPLE ESPECIALLY OUR YOUTH! because this was unacceptable. Just sad.

I have been coming to Georgetown Exxon for years. Jamie and his team are extremely trust worthy- and the few times I have gotten a second quote- they have always been compatible or less. In fact when my old car was needing increasing repairs - and I kept bringing it to Jamie, it was him that told me that the repairs were not worth it and I should trade it in. Not many car repair shops I know would do that!They are my default place for oil changes- It’s nice that you can pick up your car after hours.

Great first experience! I had a tough morning and was running late to drop my car off for tire rotation and general maintenance check but they still took the appointment and finished in under two hours. The price was competitive and I was given a forewarning for my front brakes but assured it could wait until the next 5k check. Would recommend and will definitely be back.

Avoid this place - $169/hour labor charge! I was charged $435 to change a tire. Yes, they had to change the lug nuts but 1) they charged $9.74 for each $3 nut, and 2) they said it took an hour (to change 4 nuts?) for which they charged $169 (the standard is $80-$100.) Plus of course $27 for “materials and fees”. Outrageous overcharging! Keep away.

Fantastic service on short notice. My truck had been sitting a while, battery was dead, and I needed to head out of town at end of day just prior toholiday period on a cross country trip. My car needed an oil change. I had stopped at the Exxon station and went into Metro Motor to ask what their availability was for getting an oil change next day. The attendant at the desk first ignored me then stated “what do you want?”. I explained that I needed an oil change for my car and wanted to know what availability they had. The attendant then laughed and said “If you want want an oil change you should go to some place out in Virginia.” The attendant never looked at me while I was talking to him. I left and have never gone back.I would not recommend this place there plenty of places to get your car fixed.

I’ve been bringing my 2003 BMW to this shop for about 10 years. Since I work in Georgetown, it’s convenient to drop it off in the morning and then pick it up after work. Whether it’s routine maintenance like oil changes, small repairs like flat tires or lightbulbs that need to be replaced, or larger repairs like electrical issues or brake repairs, the mechanics are excellent and follow through to resolve problems. Jamie, the manager, is a professional who has become acquainted with a lot of the residents/workers in Georgetown. You get an idea of the quality of the shop not only by the quantity of cars on the lot every day, but by the caliber of the cars on the lot. Two weeks ago, when I dropped my car off for an oil change, I spotted a BMW Alpina, a Porsche 911, and a Pantera!

Manager Jamie was terrific, as always. He’s an expert on BMWs, and everything else. Even changed batteries in a car key for me. Highly recommend them.
