Signing up for a rental unit was fast and easy! Randy was very friendly, and answered every question I had. The unit I looked at was clean and entire lot was clean and orderly. Randy was very thorough when signing the lease, and explained all my charges. I felt at home and relaxed. No pressure what so ever. By far one of the best experiences I have had with a storage company! I highly recommend Compass Self Storage!

The Troy Maple road location was where I had made my reservation, but upon getting there I was informed by a person not wearing a mask that the truck was in the next city over. I was confused as my reservation clearly indicated their address, they said it was because I had only made the reservation yesterday. No apology or anything. My ride had already left so I had to wait for them to come back and drive me over to the other location. I walked into the Warren 14 mile location and Mr. Bigger and Carl were all smiles under their masks, held friendly conversation with me, even cracked a few jokes, and hooked me up quickly with my rental. I will drive the extra distance to these guys for my future rental needs. You cant teach the skills these guys have. Thanks

I have dealt with the Warren Compass store for years. The General Manager, Carl is such a valuable asset to the customer. He always has an educated suggestion if you need supplies for your move or the size of the best U-Haul to rent. Carl has supplied us with the right information in order to lease the correct size of storage unit that best fits our needs. Compass is the best place to start if you are looking for a storage facility.

Nobody was there for my scheduled Uhaul truck pickup, nobody was there for the drop off (in the middle of the afternoon) then when I got my bill they over charged me by $25 saying I drove the truck 40 miles when I barely drove it 15 miles! If your going to rent a Uhaul, go to an actual Uhaul place NOT HERE!

Well, I would have rated them 4 stars. I mean what can you really rate on a storage unit. It had a door that work, it was fairly clean when I got it and it apparently didnt leak while I used it. Unfortunately, today was my Moving Day and here in Michigan it snowed about 10 inches last night. I showed up with my moving men and their van and found not one snowflake had been removed from the area. I then went to the office to close my account and complain about the lack of snow removal and found that the office was closed. I came back twice during the day to close my account and both times, even though the open sign was lit, nobody answered. I guess the third time is the charm because after ringing the bell and waiting 5 minutes I finally got someone to open the door and close my account. During in the day I had been to three other storage companies. Every one of them had their streets plowed so that you could access the units. The last time I came here, in the afternoon, it still hadnt been plowed. So I would only recommend this company during in warm sunny days.

Ive used different storage companies in the past but compass storage in warren is by far the best one! This place is so clean and the people there are so nice and friendly. They dont just sign you in and give you a key. They go out of their way to make sure you are happy with what you got. The prices are awesome I cannot complain about the prices. I love this location and will continue to use them for whatever I need! I will tell my friends and family too!

I called Compass to inquire about a unit as well as truck rental. The representative was very pleasant and took the time to ask questions and explain my options. When I explained I was not ready to make andecision, she ended the conversation with, “take your time and call around and hopefully we will be the last place you call.” I called several other companies in the area and none of them took the time to actually talk to me like the representative at Compass, the only thing they kept doing was sending me emails and calling me to try to strong arm me into using them. I ended up going in to Compass and signing a contract as well as renting a U-Haul truck. They worked with me and made suggestions on size of unit as well as size of truck. I am so grateful for their suggestions because they were spot on. I got the right size unit as well as perfect size of truck. Thank you so much for being professional and using your knowledge to help your customers. I will definitely recommend you to my friends and family.

Compass storage in Warren has the best customer service and great rates. The staff always has friendly happy to see you attitudes and so helpful and yet very professional. They have units of all sizes. I compared rates several times and just kept coming back to Compass because they had the lowest. I own a moving company so I deal with a lot of self storages. If I have customers that need to store their belongings, I know I can trust Compass to take good care of them. I have referred many to Compass and will keep on referring. I’ve kept my furniture in storage here for about a year and a half. It was the cheapest I could find, but no sacrifice for convenience or service. Today I had movers to clean out the unit, but was unable to be there in person. When the movers couldn’t open my lock, Carl went back to my unit and helped them open it. A huge deal! Saved me time and energy and stress!!! Now my move is on schedule!

Pretty clean facility but they always keep on increasing the price every 6 months for no reason. The guys wouldnt even bargain to keep me as a paying customer who just doesnt want to have his price constantly increased. Ended up leaving because of price increase.

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on what to expect from this storage facility. Apparently, if you use their facility for more than 2 to 3 months, they raise the rates almost 50% from the quote they give you on your first day!!! That is a lot of money people! Find another storage place that is more honest!

Do no rent here. I was told I would pay $79 for my first year. Corporate got greedy and after only 3 months I am being charged $145 a month. I now am driving 400 miles back to the storage unit to get my stuff. Everywhere else is cheaper they give you a low rate up front to get you in and then scam you. They are the most expensive storage units in michigan. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

Read the fine print. I chose not to do business with this company because of what they have in their Terms. I am not an attorney, but consulted one and he told me this verbiage is concerning. Basically, if you have to sue them for any reason, you have to pay their attorney fees, even if you win. Not good:17. Attorneys’ Fees. In the event the Owner retains the services of an attorney to recover any sums due under this Agreement for any unlawful detainer, for the breach of any covenant or condition hereof, or in defense of any demand, claim or action brought by the Occupant, the Occupant agrees to pay to the reasonable costs, expenses, and attorneys fees incurred in any such action.
