First time at Caffe Italia; our Wakefield friends love it and know we know why. i love lamb and found the rack of lamb extremely tasty. my wife also greatly enjoyed her haddock florentine. reasonably priced, plenty of food, and a nice atmosphere -- not at all stuffy but not too noisy either.

Got here right when they opened on a Monday afternoon at 4, plenty of seats available at that time in the restaurant. Really nice ambiance. The food was great and very good portions as well

Visited Caffe Italia with friends that frequent the restaurant. Greeted by a smiling and friendly host. Vinny was our waiter host was friendly and helpful, while letting our party have time to socialize. We had a fantastic scallop appetizer, the amaretto sauce was outstanding. I had the tuna and my wife had the halibut special, both we excellent.Good service and great food, we will be visiting Caffe Italia again.

Food beyond delicious. Bartender made a delightful drink. I cannot wait to go back again. The evening was perfect. Great hostess. Friendly and welcoming staff. Chef ...... perfection!

Went in there today to try it out for the first time. It was one of the best italian dishes I have had in years, and I eat Italian very frequently. If you are in the area I would certainly visit if I was you.

Best Caesar salad, great martinis, ample portions, friendly staff. Been going for several years, only slightly disappointed once with the lamb lolly pops. Everything else has been very good or better.

Never had a bad meal here and the service has always been great. Gio in the dining room has always taken great care of my wife and I. Braised beef short ribs are amazing and the scallops appetizer is our favorite. They make a great espresso martini and have a nice selection of wine. Prices are great for the quality of the food and aren’t reflective of being in Boston when we aren’t!

We had dinner for 10 last night and we were treated as royals. Our waitress Kerri was amazing and catered to our every need. The appetizers were outstanding as well as the entrees. Great place to gather with friends! Highly recommend.

Gio is the best waiter weve encountered in a very long time. He alone is worth a visit to the downstairs restaurant. The food is always consistently good, both up and down, but downstairs has the friendlier, more intimate vibe. Most of the menu is fantastic. Braised beef short rib over risotto or vegetables is my go to recommendation.

I wish they had more than 5 stars to rate. I held my daughters wedding/ reception for a party of 32 in the upstairs and everything was perfect! The staff really went above and beyond!! Elegant yet quaint and the food was amazing! I HIGHLY recommend!

Excellent food and very good service, however they need to work on their prices! Look folks, this is wakefield, not the town of lynnfield, far from it! Please adjust your prices according to local income levels! We have alot of low income residents in this town.

We went to Cafe Italia for my husbands birthday on a recommendation. It was a bit difficult to find parking but our table was ready for the time reserved. The restaurant was crowded but someone came over and poured water quickly. Our waiter came a short time later. He seemed to be the only waiter in our area but he handled the tables well. He remembered everything we ordered without writing it down. The meal was well spaced, we were not rushed yet we did not feel like we had to wait for our food. We had the calamari as an appetizer and it was fantastic, very tender. Both our entrees were well prepared and served piping hot. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. We will certainly be going back again.

Food and service was very good. The elderly couple next to us sent a meal back, and the manger came out with smoke coming out of ears and was arguing with them. Not very good customer service. It was quite disturbing for the whole dining room.

Was the perfect birthday celebration. Food was delicious as always. Our waiter was great and was a wonderful addition to an already wonderful experience.

Just moved to Wakefield and was told this was a good place. The hours on door says they close at 10:00, it was 9:45 so I thought Id have a drink and check the place out. The doors were open, the bar was bustling. I waited a few minutes only to be told by the rude bartender that they were closed. They have lost a customer for good.

Tonights food was amazing !We have been looking for a good Italian place with great pasta . Very fresh and very tasty .Place was busy , and lots of folks of all ages . You could tell the people were there cause of the food .Very full.Very pleased .5 stars .Again its a tad bit pricey but in the end , your getting amazing food , so its worth it knowing you wont get some dull greasy meal . Plus the bread and cheese goes great with the meal .Cant wait Togo back and try something else . We only ate pasta tonight , next time will be chicken and steak .Thank you for giving us a great meal .!👍🏼😘

People are very nice, the pizza we had was a very tasty surprise. Service was wonderful but the pizza was amazing. Nice job to the person that does the pizzas. Excellent. Would recommend to my friends.

An outstanding birthday meal! The eggplant appetizer with pesto and a cream sauce is to die for! Shareable, so everyone got a piece. The drinks are always great and the wine selection is good - and relatively inexpensive. My meal - the best on the menu - was the beef short ribs with parmesan risotto.....always delicious and no knife necessary as the meat is so tender. Other meals and specials were terrific. We will be back soon.

Food is pretty good but the table service isnt great. Long wait times and they dont check in to make sure you need anything or see how things are. They could be more organized. This is my third time here and Id only come back for drinks at the bar if anything.

Very poor visit. In area decided to have dinner here asked restaurants near me and this came up. Nice atmosphere. We ordered dinner. Husband had chicken and mushroom risotto I ordered a ceasar salad and a pizza with fresh fig prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella. Salad came with rolls that were cold and burnt?? Asked for new rolls. Ok..the entree and pizza took forever!!!! Meals finally came. Risotto was delicious for him my pizza was burnt. Waitress never appeared to ask how is your meals?? Finally we asked another wait staff to get our waitress. She came over and asked if we wanted check? Looking at my pizza she asked if I wanted a box. I said no its burnt. Her response was sorry can I get you something else?? I said my husband is finished eating do no. Would not stop here again.

Not the greatest experience at this restaurant. We were a party of 4 and dressed casually and as so as we walked in we were judged. The food not so great. Two of us had the chicken Nancy. The chicken was tough and the sauce runny. The chicken parmesan had no taste to it. The seafood casserole the scallops were chewy and so was the shrimp. Probably wont go back. This Caffe Italia was in Wakefield.

The 3 course deals on Monday to Wednesday are a bargain with normal dinner portions. The haddock is very fresh and delicious. Danielle is the best!

I have always loved this restaurant and was a loyal customer. But last night my friends took me there for my birthday and what awful food. The bolognese came out and looked like a vodka sauce with little to no bolognese. The eggplant Donna, my favorite, came about an inch smaller and the pesto was literally yellow in a lemon buttery sauce with little basil. Where was the thick rich pesto. Then the short rib over risotto was a shin unflavored over rice with no flavor on either. I don’t know what happened but I won’t be going back. Service is still good.

Calamari was good, but drinks requested were warm so decided on peroni after 15 minutes of nothing to drink. Ordered the veal saltimbocca, tasted too strong of sage, my date ordered chicken marsala that was watery, tadted like sherry minus the floured cutlets, did an unorthodox thing: returned plate as she was unhappy in an attempt to rectify theProblem, only added insult to injury, return plate was worse......
