Crazy to find a great hardware center so close to the beach. Great selection and friendly service. Also has quite a lot of beach needs like chairs, canopies, and such.

Needed propane bottles filled Thanksgiving eve... Deep frying 2 birds Thanksgiving and visiting from out of town not knowing where to get them filled was told couldnt go wrong going to Taylors... And they were right.. Fast, friendly, and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend Taylors for just about anything you would need.

I filled out my Rewards Card while at the register checking out ,and apparently my penmanship was poor. However the young lady at the register called me later,, As my phone number was ligable, and confirmed all my information. Good ole fashion customer service. Love it. I didnt catch her name, but it started with a D.

Everytime I go here the employees are very helpful and nice. The inventory is a little limited because of the size of the store, but it is good for supplies when in a pinch.

This Taylors is awesome and so convenient! They always have what I need and they are right across the street. Today was a flex driver extension love it!

This afternoon went for a walk and went into Taylors Do It Center for some odds and ends. We wore our masks and kept our distance from other shoppers and had a backpack with us to be green and save on a shopping bag being needed. All of your employees were friendly minus the woman who was at the register. Not only was she watching us like a hawk like we were going to steal (at least not be so obvious about it next time) but was rude when the gentleman who rang us up at the register asked us if we needed a bag, she chimed in no they dont they have a bag already. She not only was rude but left the store right after we were rang up. Thanks for making us feel welcome as to we just moved into the area. Home Depot will be our go to thanks!

Like most of the larger Taylors Do It centers this store has a lot of upscale yuppie type items at corresponding upscale prices. That said their selection of hardware items is pretty good and they keep an adequate supply of parts like plumbing fittings and electrical items. They can supply most of my basic needs(I remodel) and save the drive to the Depot or Lowes. There is a good selection of paint and cleanup items along with a well stocked yard/garden area. There is a nice selection of manual and power tools. All this and free popcorn too! What more could you ask for?

This Taylors is the friendliest on the planet! Theyre always asking me everytime when I come in if I need assistance. This place is seriously the Chick Fil A of hardware stores. Seriously

Tonight my husband and I went to Taylor‘s to get an extension cord when we got home we realized the cord would not fit into the Christmas lights we were using. With about five minutes to spare I drove quickly to Taylor‘s and pulled up at 7:58 PM knowing that the store was closing at 8 PM and I knew exactly what I wanted to get and I went into the store and asked for help just to asked where the cords were and then the guy who was helping me seemed very uninterested in helping me and like he just wanted to leave and was frustrated I showed up and then I told the cash register I was sorry I was not trying to be that person who came in last minute but literally had just been there moments before and bought the wrong cord and she said “but you are that person”. I thought that was really rude to say to me because I already stated that I was really sorry that I was showing up moments before the store closed but I live right up the street and I came in knowing exactly what I wanted and was getting in and out as quickly as possible so everyone can get home and I literally left at 8:01 and was getting attitude about it. We always go up to Taylor‘s when were in a pinch and need something quick that we know they carry and we’re supporters of the neighborhood stores. Now looking at my receipt the time I was rung out was 7:56pm. So the clocks must be slow there. Regardless as a frequent customer I may decide to drive a bit farther just to be treated with more kindness at another hardware store.

We love this place. The staff were friendly and helpful always ready to crack a joke. They have a unique assortment of items I even buy my grandsons Christmas stocking stuffers here every year. Theres so much more personal than Lowes or Home Depot. Its like your local down home hardware store.

We have lived here for 30 years, and I have to stretch to remember a positive experience at Taylors. For example, I bought a $350 chain saw from them last year and they lost the warranty information, so it is not under warranty. The manager who lost the information was no help. Yesterday, I was charged $24 each for two 20 pound propane refills as well as well as a charge for $5.79 for paint that I did not buy. My bad, I should have looked at the receipt prior to leaving. I plan to never have a receipt from one of their locations again.

Was definitely that customer tonight. Walked in 15 minutes before they closed to look for a part I didnt know what size it was. Face palm. The gentleman took his time to help me find what I was looking for and it made them close a couple minutes late bc of me. Kudos, thats how you do it!

I love coming here to get Christmas lights. They are the only ones that have a color variety on the large bulbs. I habe a store close to work and they are much more helpful and convenient compared to Lowes or home depot!

Great customer service. I was looking for some help with insulation. The manager of the store help me out. These guys earned my business in one visit. Much better than my previous experiences with lowes on Virginia Beach boulevard.

Always prefer the independent locals over the chains. Taylors is my first choice.

Tried to return a gallon of very expensive primer, waited for 15 minutes for daytime manager, I explained to daytime manager that my painter tried to use the primer, he poured a portion into his paint gun but the primer had some much debris in it that it wouldnt work in his gun. The manager would not return my money, stating that the paint had been used !! No kidding thats how we found it was bad primer She said that she would check with the daytime assistant manager to see what he would do! A manager has to check with the assistant??? youve seen my last dollar !! I had to at least give it 1 star

I needed to exchange deck chairs that I had bought at the Haygood store. Even though the Haygood store had not scanned the chairs properly, Frank was so helpful in completing the exchange and helping me get the chairs and table in my car (this help was not offered at the Haygood store). Really bad service. I have tried to support this local business for years but have had previous episodes of poor service. This one broke the camels back. I wanted to buy a small electrical device but it took all 3 people working to sell a woman a beach cart. Guess it was the big event of the day! Anyway they were all too consumed with her so I just left and drove to Lowes. They had what I wanted. Taylors has seen my last dollar.

Dont come here if youre a woman with self respect. Im treated like some sort of annoyance every single visit, but today is my last visit. I come in multiple times a month for keys and other items I need for my line of work so theyve had enough chances. Today took the cake, 6 different keys. The man watched me lay them out individually and label tags for them, mixed them all up and put them on the opposite counter without a word to me. Thanks Phil, youre a jerk. Im working too so thanks for wasting my time and my clients time and for yet another experience in a hardware store that treats women like theyre not important customers.

Good in a pinch, not a huge selection and if you drive a few minutes down the road you dont have to pay shore drive prices

Unacceptably bad customer service! I just visited the store for one small item. I was not greeted upon entering, and I walked up and down the main hall passing 4 employees who were all too busy talking to ask if I needed any help! I was literally the only customer in the entire store. I told them I couldnt believe that not a single one of them asked me if I needed help finding something and then I walked out! I try to support the smaller store whenever possible, but come on guys, get it together!!!
