Another great day at Superior Pawn & Gun…today I was looking for some home protection. And with some expert advice I was able to purchase a great semi automatic shotgun and a very user friendly pistol. I purchased my very first firearm from Superior seven years ago and I am happy to be able to grow my collection with their wide variety of firearms.

Always a great experience at superior! I buy all my firearms, accessories and ammo here. Good prices, friendly staff, great range and great atmosphere at all their locations.

I had a pretty good experience. They made a mistake on a purchase and did not answer 2 emails. But they called me back and made up for it with free ammo. This was a gunbroker transaction.

1st time there, found them through gunbroker they had a gun I’ve been looking for for about 6 months (kel tec RDB 17 od green) was quick with purchase waited about 30-45 minutes for background and did some other shopping there picked up a few other items. Huge selection of ammo, huge selection of full size/pistol ar-15s and pistols/revolvers! Had a range there to. Ppl was nice and had great customer service

Decent folks with lots of knowledge. Respectful customer service. They dont look down on you if you are a first time gun buyer or just going in to browse. Relaxed shopping atmosphere.

Many items out of stock at other gun shops tend to be of abundance here. Customer service actually have knowledge on firearms and are very outgoing.

I love Superior! Ive been going here with my dad since I was a kid. Ive bought all but 2 of my firearms from Superior. Ive only had 2 unpleasant interactions with staff members and those were years ago. The staff are typically nice, helpful, and very knowledgeable. They hold high safety standards for the range as well. I refer many of my friends to support this wonderful establishment!!!

SIL & grandson took us to the range for our 1st time, learning safety & skills. Counter guy ( sorry, didnt catch his name) was extremely informative, & friendly adding to calm my comfort. Outside air is blown in the range, so was freezing today.Overall great experience ☺️

My husband is in love with his shotgun! The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. My boss has blught several fire arms from this location and recommends everyone he knows to buy from Superior. I will be going to Superior when I get my Sig.

I came in on a packed Saturday But the process was smooth and quick. I spoke to multiple employees and every single one was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They answered every question I had. They didn’t look at me like a moron even though I was a newbie and had a ton of questions. They have a customer for life.

Great store with great selection, unfortunately the reason for their great selection when so many others are sold out is because they are charging 50% over MSRP on the vast majority of their firearms. Even in this crazy market, those prices are insane.

Theyre a bunch of crooks. Spent 600 on a trigger that damaged a 2000 gun. When I tried to return it the essentially told me get bent. Even the old man went to jail for selling stolen guns theyre still running a racket.

Each time I have visited this gun store I have been pleasantly surprised. It is usually very crowded which shows they are doing something right. Their ammo is nicely priced. They have plenty of weapons of all kinds. I am very glad Mike is the armorer.He has done all my pistol works for years.I believe you will glad you stopped by.

Great place to buy a gun, optics and other accessories... they were super busy but had plenty of staff on hand that were very helpful! The gunsmith was also very helpful and gave decent pricing on work.

Strongly recommend avoiding this business. The guns are EXTREMELY overpriced and the employees were rude and utterly unhelpful. Just my 2c.

Along with its sister store, if you are buying firearms from any place in Virginia besides these stores, youre probably getting ripped off. These stores its all five stars on the three most important elements of a gun shop: selection, service and price.Ive shopped for firearms all over the country and I can say without reservation at this shop they are by far the friendliest and most easy-going gun shop dudes ive ever bought from.The selection of firearms both here and at their sister store is complete. I bought a gun from there and I will never buy from them again. (Lynnhaven location ) In my opinion they’re all about getting you the gun and after that their customer service goes completely downhill. Much better gun shops around town in this place in my opinion. I will never go there again

Polite, concise, quick and easy to deal with for my online purchase I was having transferred.

Whenever I want to go to the range, I head over to Superior Pawn and Gun. I like the fact that it is easy to get to and it provides an area to shoot my weapon and not feel rushed. I definitely recommend this place.

Do your research. They are way overpriced. A $700 for a firearm with a $569 msrp. The inflation is not bcs of the virus bcs another local store had the same model for $529. The sales reps are super nice though.

Bad experience.. Ffl transfer. Lost(?) Parts. Problem not handled well. Rude treatment from employe over issue. Have heard bad things about owner and employees.. Will not buy another gun there. Ammo only.

Went to purchase a brand new hand gun, was greeted by one of their salespersons who seemed friendly. Was then passed off to another guy who had an attitude and was very unprofessional. The gun I was inquiring about had a removable piece that I didn’t care for and since they have a sign that said “gunsmith on duty” I figured it could be removed without any issues. The salesperson informed me there was no gunsmith and he was unsure how to remove it but reassured me I could go elsewhere and pay to have it removed. After deciding on the gun I wanted I was handed a slip and told to take it to another person outside for paperwork. That person asked me for my drivers license so I handed him my current Florida DL and was rudely asked “where the hell are your military orders?” I replied “I wasn’t sure of the state laws, what do in need to purchase a weapon here?” I was told I needed my current PCS orders which wasn’t an issue I just needed to go home and grab them. Upon returning I took all documents to the staff members in which I was told my TAD/Separation Orders will not suffice (which I understand) however, one of their staff members had to add the comment “well I’m not in the Navy and nor would I ever want to be.” This was the third rude and disrespectful staff member I encountered, while browsing I noticed just about all customers were active duty. 10/10 do not recommend based on lack of knowledge of their own inventory, rudeness and disrespect I encountered due to my occupation.

Took my grandfathers Smith and Wesson model 19-3 to Mike the gunsmith on site. My revolver would not cycle this gun is over 30 years old Mike fixed the problem and did a trigger job on it and I could not be happier it is flawless. Great job by Mike.

I havent been here in a while, except for today. This place has had an extreme make over, everything looks organized the people are mad friendly and want to help you make the right decision on gun buying. Bought 2 pinky extender for my Glock 43. I am impress with this shop, about 10 years ago this place was a dump.

Found this place by referral from a gun smith shop in the Virginia Beach area. To say they have a wide variety of guns is an understatement. They have a little something for everyone in almost every caliber! The folks there are very friendly and hospitable. They will patiently go through the steps to make sure you walk out with the best gun. They also have a wide variety of other items such as clothing, holsters, flashlights, electronics etc. Give them a visit and see for yourself how good this place is. Ill guarantee youll be back, I know I will.

I have dealt with the guys at Superior for a few years now. I have even bought a brand New weapon from them. Always treat me good there. I will always go back and do business with Superior just because how well they treat me. Keep up the awesome job guys!

I left superior pawn today, a bit shocked from the closing of my purchase.I was helped as I walked in, the gentleman did a great job at working with me, and being patient with all my questions.I filled out my background check, and was approved almost instantly.Now here is where the problem came in.I purchased a vortex scope, and the gentleman explained that you all do military discount on spitfire, which made me more inclined to want the scope, but when I got to the register I was informed that actually the discount is only for retired service members of 20 years while the cashier suggested I didnt even have a real military ID, what I was holding to her knowledge, was a dependent ID.Rather then arguing with your workers, one who said she worked there FOR 10 YEARS, AND SUGGESTED SHES DENIED OTHER VETERANS IN THE SAME WAY, i just decided. Im going to leave it at that, its just 30$ and doesnt mean anything to me! however, I did make it a point to show your cashier, that my ID is not a dependent ID, my ID shows rank and time in service, because I have a service connected disability.But, in liue of finding out that you all have turned away other veterans with this same excuse, I will however give you an example of how this is discrimination.I was told that I needed 20 years of service for your discount.But to suggest that someone with their 20 years, is more important, then someone with 5 years, and 3 years down range, deployed. is discrimination. Point blank. I can prove i served, my ID says I was a soldier, and for how long.I am not saying that I am even upset. I was happy with my transaction, the way I was treated, AND EVEN THE WAY I WAS RESPECTFULLY TOLD NO.I also had 2 forms of military ID on me. 1 was my va ID. And 1 was my ID to get on post and shop at the PX. I presented both.

Today, I became a first time gun buyer. After shooting reciently, I found a new hobby. The employee today working with me, i dont remember his name but i was very pleased with the level of service i had today. I learned a lot and i appreciate the help. Looking forward to target shooting and learning more about the sport.

I just took the Saturday concealed carry class as a first time gun user. I was nervous at first b/c I felt completely out of my element, but everyone there was extremely nice and helpful. The first part of the class is informational, and the last part of the class is in the gun range. You can bring a gun and ammunition from home (which I did), and you can also rent a gun and buy ammunition at an additional fee. There were several instructors assisting in the gun range, which put me at ease. I never felt rushed, and the instructor who helped me was very patient with me. I will definitely come back here to develop my shooting skills.

Bought my first gun here 19 years ago and have always been pleased with the service in nearly 2 decades of shopping. In recent years their inventory has ballooned in size and youd be hard pressed to not find what you are looking for here. I buy from them regularly because they tend to have the lowest prices on guns, accessories, and range memberships and as a regular I feel like get the red carpet treatment every time I shop there. Same goes for their other VB location on Lishhell Rd near Lynnhaven Mall. They always treat me right and have 99% of what I need when I need it.

I have sold, traded, and purchased many items from them, mainly firearms. I have never felt like I was ripped off or mistreated. The staff are excellent and friendly. Great selection of firearms, accessories and other items. Always some great conversation to be had. A pleasant experience overall upon every visit!

Was recommended by several friends to come here to get a gun. Staff was more than helpful and willing to take the time to help me out along with everyone else. They had over 30 people trying to look at guns and maybe a dozen people behind the counter but they got the job done in all the chaos.Will buy guns from them in the future.

Last time I bought a gun there, I was picking up a brand new Browning 1911 .22. The gentleman assisting me was dry firing the 22. I asked the gentleman, hey, can you please not dry fire it? As I was about to purchase this $600 gun. The guys response was, this isnt my first rodeo as he continued to dry fire it. Once I had the owners manual in hand I showed the manager that right on the front page it says DO NOT DRY FIRE. He compensated me a box of bullets for my, now damaged gun. But they really need to hire more qualified sales reps.

Ammo prices are good. Staff have always been helpful with questions or even just browsing. Not sure why people say theyve been snubbed by staff here... This place is heaven compared to places up north. Honestly, nothing but positivity from me here.

Bad customer service. The guy at the shooting range was rude and wasn’t entertaining or helping us out. And for rental there’s not a lot of options for long guns.

Worst experience buying online with gun broker I remove my original comment out of respect. They posted something on gun broker which isnt true. The GLOCK 31 I PAID $200 OVER THE NORMAL PRICE THAT WOULD BE FOR WAS OUTRAGEOUS.

I went to/called multiple places that didn’t have exactly what I was looking for...this was the FIRST to say “one sec, let me see if one of our vendors have it”...3 days later, it was in my hands...will DEFINITELY return and refer them...

I just went there for a gun class. The class was very informative, and helped me learn about gun safety. I did make a purchase on a Blackhawk holster, and they staff even helped me assemble it (I dont usually carry around screw drivers). The instructors offer more classes, and I am considering taking more classes. My pricing experience is as follows:Class prices are cheap. Holster and magazine loader were at market price. Ammo is cheap. I definitely recommend the pistol safety class. The instructors know the subject really well and are NRA instructors. You can take a class any Saturday at 3PM, but get there early. The only bad thing was the line to sign up, but thats expected for a walk in class.

The guys are very helpful at this location. I didnt feel rushed with my many questions.

If you like overpriced accessories, and pawn shop style used wood paneling layout with clutter, worn out antiques and not being able to look around without being watched by beady eyed managers mumbling about you with their arms crossed, then this is the store for you! Where markups are 500%, and they ask you to empty your pockets before you leave, really nice place if you like to be treated like a criminal. Do yourselves a favor and order online, at least on the web the chinese parts arent marked up as much. Inferior Pawn & Greed is for people with more money than sense.

So I just called the store and the guy who answered didn’t know how much it cost to shoot their. He transferred me to the range and the guy working the range on 12/28/19 was so rude and literally talked me out of shooting there. He basically toldMe the range was full and I’d be waiting waiting a few hrs. A lane was down and they had a CCW class going on. I wasn’t even going to shoot there today but I’ll be up there all week. I’ll go somewhere else. I asked if I could shoot my own ammo and he snapped “‘MY GUNS MY AMMO YOUR GUNS YOUR AMMO.” I didn’t ask that.... just all around I think this place sucks.

As an African American Male its bad enough when the police dont like us.. but its even worst when we decide to go to the range on a Saturday morning to be racially profiled as hoods and Gangsters based of gun choice..and then for it to be a conversation had by Range staff and also customers is completely unacceptable, unprofessional and quite frankly disgusting behavior..I am appalled at the behavior and i hope this is Corrected because i come here often to shoot and buy ammo and who wants to be subjected to things of this nature I sure know I dont.

I have bought multiple weapons here. I have paid cash as well as used there layaway system for weapon purchases. They have a huge selection of weapons as well as a great knowledgeable staff. You will leave happy and you will go back. No reason to go anywhere else.

The range master ignored me while he just disgustingly hit on my fiancé and offer her private lessons. He has zero respect. I purchased my firearm there and get treated with zero respect from everyone except the range master thats normally there.Do your job buddy and leave the family units to themselves. ;) Their loss, another would be customer that will never be back and will happily spread the word.The Armory on Indian River has much better prices and and much easier to work with.

Wouldn’t sell to me because I was 18. Didn’t do a background check or anything. The only thing the owner said to me was he doesn’t sell to under 21 because of sandy hook. I’ve never broken a law in my life, I’ve never even been in a fight. So to be turned down without even talking to the guy for more then a few seconds was pretty disappointing. I’m giving two stars because the sales man I talked to was great. Really polite man, and really helpful.

Coworkers more interested in each other’s conversation soon as I walked in. Was told the jewelry I was trying to pawn was worth nothing because of the weight after looking at it for 2 seconds without even weighing it

Rude Staff told me to leave saying theres a line outside as if I didnt stand outside and waited in line to get in... just go to the one by Chuck E cheese and hope they dont bring the rude guy to that location.

I came in looking at a PPQ M2 9mm and one of the guys (former seal) showed me the sig P226 Legion edition! Amazing gun! Great customer service. Pretty cheap range. By the way the MSRP is 1427 on the P227 Legion. They had the best price in town at 1098.

I have to admit I had a good experience. I will also say that the salesman who helped me was very patient and knew his way around the store and where everything was. I was also pleased that he did not try to act like he knew anything more than he did. Unlike other a few salesman there trying to sell guns in which they had no clue about the weapon system. For example one salesman was trying to sell a guy the legion p229 and the legion p226 but had no clue what was different about the the two weapons in relation to the other sigs and what makes the gun so expensive. Instead he just noted the obivious but couldnt explain the changes or the why behind it. I wanted to step in and actually show the differences but instead just waited for the buyer to move on so I get the legion Sig I wanted. Was a great Prince. Though I did notice some weapons were way overpriced.

Excellent service and just like dealing with family get prices to shop or to pawn your item!
