I had the best experience buying my first fire arm. A special thanks to the lady of the house she made the experience so smooth and simple she had answers to all my questions. They have helpful staff, all very knowledgeable. They are connected to other locations and will make sure they get you what you are looking for or point you in the right way. Prices are more than fair and you feel so at home with how well the staff take care of you. I highly recommend this shop for any and everybody.

First time stopping in and I really wasn’t looking for anything in particular. Was just in the area and stopped to see what there was. I was greeted as I walked in by Jenn. She was great and very helpful as I browsed around. I found some interesting things there and I will definitely stop back later.

The location on 17th street at the oceanfront is always clean and has a homely vibe. Laurie is the best. She always makes time for the small talk no matter how busy her day has been. EVERYDAY is a good day at Superior Pawn, 17th Street. Although we live 2 1/2 hrs away, we try to make at least a day trip every month to see Lori and her crew. Always something new to buy. As my husband says I buy guns, SHE buys diamonds.

I came into this shop in July looking for an anniversary gift for my husband and was very impressed with the service i received. Both the ladies behind the counter were friendly and helpful. I felt at home in the store while looking for an impossible gift for a man who has everything. They listened to what i had to say and what i was looking fir and suggested the most perfect gift. They truly did care. I was not familiar with the area, being new to VABeach and i wandered thru 4 other pawn shops before finding this one. I simply went thru a list of shops near me on google maps. Great style on the outside. Some good items on the inside. Tools are priced a little high for their condition and would be nice to get inside some of the tool boxes to see what’s included. Good variety of firearms.

Middle aged woman was rude to me and all of the customers around the store. She bought a tool from me and lied about the cost and resold it for triple the amount they bought from me. She is a rip-off completely! And had such a disgusting attitude. Please don’t waste your time here. I hope scam artists like these people lose their business, honestly. Oh and if I could Rate this business a 0, I would. Hope they see this .

Ive been a customer for 3yrs. Purchased a gun, tools, laptops, etc. Even gave the managers son a brand new hat. I invite them in my home to take inventory of very high quality tools for sale. After given an insulting offer, i find out the employee did not take inventory of over 25 items. Yet was still given unrealistic reasons as to why their offer stood. I will not be back.

DONT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO HAGGLE! Awful pawnshop! They will always low-ball you NOWHERE CLOSE to the actual price. Unless you watch one of those stupid pawnshop reality TV shows and feel like being screwed out of a lot of money, dont go here.I brought in a gold chain I bought for $550 two years ago. The lady start off with $25 . . . ??? I dont haggle. Its gold, give me what it is worth and stop trying to screw me. Ended up taking it to Greenbrier Pawn, $300 and no haggling.There should be a law that forbids pawnshops to low-balling people. A percentage from the actual value that they cannot go below. This would probably alleviate the illegal drug crisis here in Virginia Beach as well. If I needed to buy drugs, or stole the necklace, I could see leaving Superior Pawn with only $25.

They told me a piece of a jewelry set had fake jewels and would only be worth the weight of the gold. I was in a pinch and accepted the offer. Come to find out later that the jewels were in fact real. I know this because I had the other pieces in the set tested. Taking advantage of people in a tough spot is disgusting. Accepting their offer haunts me to this day. Please stay far away from these scam artists.

This is some of the worst customer service I’ve ever had in my life. At the ocean front Superior Pawn David the employed is like talking to a coke head with ADD. I had a firearm sent there and was just picking it up. Seems simple enough, but no i get there and the box was already opened and he said hold on i got to login to my FFL system I haven’t even logged these in yet. ok cool but then he runs around helping others with a bike that he is trying to sell these poor girls and it’s all sorts of broken. Not even touching a computer he says I don’t have their FFL. I’m a little shocked so I contact the firearmsforsale and they had proof of the email sent and they said that the FFL is packed in every box. David said no I need to talk to them directly so I call them and its now 6pm closing and I have the manager from the site I ordered from on the phone and David said I am sorry but were closed. I was like you wanted to talk to him he said sorry. I said come on work with me he said have them send it again. they did it was to Amy the owner. 2nd time now. he said no I need it faxed.so I’m pissed at this point but kept calm and asked what’s your fax number and he said um I don’t know try these numbers. after all of this I still got turned away even though I was there way before closing. I don’t think this guy should even be allowed to touch a firearm yet alone sell them. I would NEVER have any firearms sent there ever again! they really need to have the ATF come in and inspect how they are running things and who is working for them.

Very wide selection in multiple fire arm categories not to bad prices but a few members of the staff including one of the managers are absolute pukes.
