Super great experience. I went in because my bass drum sounded awful and panda helped me get squared away. Super cool guy to talk to and very knowledgeable. Very glad he was able to lend much expertise. Now my drum sounds amazing and I understand much more about the instrument thanks to panda. For sure will come back anytime I need help in the future.

I bought a used limited edition Les Paul and wanted it checked out by a professional to make sure I got what was advertised and there wasn’t any surprises waiting for me the first time she was played. I worked with John the tech and he was really professional and knowledgeable. I typically have reservations with taking a guitar to places as I’m semi new still and a lot of times people just talk over your head or down to you when you have questions or problems. I’m also hearing disabled so a conversation is about three times the work for me than it is for others. I understand the irony of a person that is hearing disabled learning to play the guitar.John was really patient with me and we were able to make sure it’s ok and set up a plan to have her brought in for a full tune up later and helped answer my questions. While most of the conversation went over my head still he was cool about it and explained the situation clearly to me.

Guitar center sells most types of musical equipment. The selection seems more geared to novice players with a few high quality instruments sprinkled in. The exception is guitars. I suppose this is the new way to do a brick and mortar music store but it not what it once was. The employees were friendly though and helpful.

Store Manager Luke and his team are on top of things here! Im always met with excellent customer service and leave feeling Ive got the best deal. This store has been here for over 20 years and greats such as Pharell and Chad Hugo even pop up from time to time, although now im sure they are comfy in CA. SALUTE TO THESE GUYS!

Associate was very helpful with information on sound equipment for starting a church. Equipment such as keyboards, sound boards, & microphones. He directed on drums to come back when the tech was there but still was able to inform me on quality, need of sets, and price.

Drove over an hour to get here walk in the door and was not greeted walked around the corner and was greeted by a young black guy. He asked could he help me with anything in particular and I told him that I was looking for some type of mixer and speakers. He Directed me to a $1,300 system and I told him I wasnt interested in spending that type of money, then he told me that putting the systems together would be about the same or close to it. I had decided to spend up to $700. He didnt seem that interested so I left and went to another store around the corner and made my purchase

I had a FABULOUS experience with Guitar Center in Virginia Beach! Kwan (I apologize if the spelling is incorrect!) was extremely patient with me over the phone when I was asking about microphones. The next day, Panda was very helpful over the phone and was able to accommodate my needs for a convenient purchasing experience. The staff here is friendly and knowledgeable, and I appreciated their willingness to educate me in regards to my microphone needs.

Beginners and onward, they have staff who will guide you to what is best suited for your needs. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to introduce their children to the musical arts. I love this store!

Pretty cool place. Nice selection. My son and I just walked around. We had no idea what to do or look out for in buying my sons first set of drums. No one helped, asked or even talked to us. After 20 minutes, we eventually left.

Just like usual, the way its always been, for the past 20 years ! Usually really good and helpful staff, (which if youve spent any amount of time in a music store as a musician, you know that can be rare. Theres a very thin line between being helpful and being arrogant. Its a problem when you ask for something to a sales person who may not be as well versed as others in certain areas, and instead of saying they dont know/not familiar theyd rather treat you as if you dont know what your talking about) and always the best prices youll find, if you find cheaper, theyll match it !!

Customer service inexcusable no greeting from person repairing guitars, we are new to owning instruments in general so once he finished fixing the guitar he played it a little bit So to try to break the ice I complimented his playing He shrugged it off like we were bothering him, everyone in the store seemed pretty bothered. Then he hands back the guitar without telling us anything so we were standing there waiting to pay but he just waved us off and saidyour done just an overall horrible experience we drove an hour to get here because there are no music stores in our area so we thought we should come here because of the hype behind guitar center but it was a mistake.hopefully the next team meeting emphasis on customer service because everyone felt so uninterested in doing there job. And Im not one of those hard customers to please but I never experienced service this bad anywhere.

Some workers are so rude!!! I like guitar center. I can find what I need, but as I said some workers are really so rude!. Specially there is a guy there who has blue eyes. He should be very helpful for guitar center’s customer butI think he is not!

Awwwwwwwwe yeah!Have to give props to these folks. Everyone knows Guitar Centers are hit and miss. And I have been all over the country and have been to more Guitar Centers then I can count. Many of the Guitar Centers are filled with employees that are quite simply put....snobs. The wait times can be painful to check out, or even longer if you have a quick question. Also, the arrogance can be just too much.Im so happy that this Guitar Center has some good people working in there. Ive had zero issues with them, and every person that has helped me has been great. What more can I say? I hope the big heads at Guitar Center figure things out with their money problems because I would like this particular store, and its people to stick around.Well done.

After reading the reviews we thought we’d buy a guitar from Guitar Center, when we got there we discovered a total lack of customer service. We weren’t acknowledged by either of the 2 employees even when we walked right past them. We ended up leaving and bought a Fender Redondo from Alpha Music instead, we had a great experience & received outstanding customer service. Do yourself a favor and skip Guitar Center, go straight to Alpha Music, you won’t regret it.

Worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. I am not exaggerating. I went in here to buy some equipment and there was a wait for the manager to open the cabinet to get my guitar pedal. The employee looked stressed about the situation (having to wait for a manager), so I said “you’re more upset about this than I am”. He said “your reading to much into it, I’m only worried about the business I’ve got to take care of”. The most pompous thing I’ve ever had a stranger say to me. I will never spend another dollar at guitar center in my life, I swear.

The salesman that helped me act as if he didnt really have time. He also gave me false information about the irig I purchased. He needs to research the products hes selling.

Got a guitar fixed here and they were very prompt and friendly. The front counter personnel were knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. As a keyboard player, their selection is really good and you can try out a myriad of different ones before you think about buying. Will definitely be back here again!

Always happy to shop @ VBGC - recently picked up GC special limited edition Fender Mustang Blackout bass (Ebony fretboard!). Very nice guitar, got it right outta the box (my preference). Pretty good shape from the factory, only needed minimal set-up, so good on Fender. Having wonderful time annoying neighbors w/ Siouxsie&TB repertoire. Its a really fun bass to play + sounds awesome LOUD. I really appreciate everything VBGC offers, selection, professional staff & central location.Also good to see familiar faces (VBGC staff) being covid-careful. Thanks again!

Toda place is so cool! They have so many guitars, drums, pianos, and accessories. The atmosphere is chill. You can test run the instruments. I logged the backroom of acoustics. The staff is very friendly and they even have lessons! Awesome spot!

I bought a new LTD EC-1000 here. After I took it home I realized the switch was bad and the bridge pickup was not working correctly. I took it back to return it but John the guitar technician here wouldnt let me because as he said, every guitar is unique, and if you find one that sounds good to you, he wants you to be happy with it. They replaced the switch free of charge and Im as happy as can be. Outstanding customer service! And a big shout out to John for doing me a favor.

I ordered a Gift Certificate for a Christmas Present. I ordered on 12/15/20, and after waiting until 1/8/21, I had to call my credit card and dispute the charge. NO ONE on the Guitar Center line was willing to say WE WILL MAKE IT RIGHT or WOULD YOU LIKE A REFUND? All I ever got was wait 14 business days, which I did. One person told me they needed to check with someone else to see IF I could get my money back. They didnt call back until several hours after that call. The email reply said to wait 14 days, which I was well over. I do not know anything about the store, but the online staff have lost my business.

Always have loved this place. It has such a huge collection of guitars. I bought a Taylor brand guitar from there. Love the guitar of course. The staff was very helpful. They seem to always have employed people passionate about music. Every guitar Ive ever wanted or dreamed about is in that store. Guitar center is ran very well.

They had everything you need for your musical setup!

Its a big box store that sells guitars, basses, keyboards, and drums. Lots of low end and mid-range gear. No vintage gear. Nothing unusual. For example, I didnt see any true-temperament guitars, no cigar box guitars, and only one (acoustic) twelve-string guitar. If you want anything boutique or unusual, youll have to order it online.

Theres a very wide selection of instruments. And very surprisingly theres a wide selection of keyboards at several price points. I would seriously consider purchasing my next musical instrument from Guitar Center.

Definitely a great selection of guitars and drums. They even had the byzance cymbals in the cymbal room and let me test them out. The used gear they have was really well taken care of as well, they had a 5 piece DDrum set for a really nice price. Definitely going to visit these guys again!

Sold A used guitar that was correcting dust in my shed. Was given A reasonable amount for it and the staff was very friendly.

Purchased a Wine Red Les Paul Studio from there and the guitar was a mess. One of the tone pots didnt work, the other tone pot controlled the volume. I expected some dings and scratches being used but there was a fair amount of damage to the body and knobs. I took it to my local GC in San Antonio and the tech opened it up to find electric tape and aluminum foil in the guitar. I was told the best course of action was to return it immediately and get a refund, so I did.Im extremely disappointed that I spent so much on a guitar that was virtually worthless. You guys should have never let that guitar leave the store in the condition it was in for the price I paid.

Absolutely love love our piano instructor. Shannon is one of the best instructors at Guitar Center. Our son isnt the easiest person to teach a new skill too, especially when he doesnt want to participate in his lesson for the day. However, Shannon is excellent with him. We appreciate you and are so thankful that we got you for his instructor. Our 2nd son is also taking piano lessons with her and hes older and he enjoys having her for his instructor too.

Absolutely terrible salespeople in the keyboard dept. Had to keep going back to the counter to ask questions constantly to get answers when looking to buy a keyboard. All they talked about with each other was what time is it they all just wanted to go home. No salemanship at all! I wont be going back there again.
