Goodrich Gourmet recently catered my daughter’s wedding and I was so pleased!! From just the initial search online, I knew that Goodrich Gourmet was the catering company for me. First, their catering menu options on their website with the clearly outlined packages made it easy to see what was available and figure out my budget even prior to contacting them. Once I made my inquiry, Sherry was very quick to reply and I believe she even called me before replying to my email. I really appreciated the wonderful and clear communication throughout the whole planning process. I just had a sense that the care that was shown to me in just the planning of the menu and table settings would also reflect in the meal preparation at the event and I was right. The table settings were beautiful, the food was fabulous, and weeks later, friends and family are still talking about how good it was. In the course of planning this wedding, I encountered vendors that were just doing their job, but it was evident that Sherry and her team, really cared about our event. We hired Goodrich Gourmet Catering for our sons rehearsal dinner 7-12-19. The food was delivered on time, the presentation was beautiful and everything was delicious! We had strawberry and walnut salad, roasted red pepper chicken, garlic smashed potatoes, shrimp and grits, grilled summer vegetables, and rolls/butter. Everything was perfect and our guests raved about how good the food was. Sherry worked with me on thickening the sauce on the chicken dish and adding a little more flavor to the chicken. We hired Goodrich catering for our 10.10.2020 beach house wedding. Throughout the planning process Sherry was so helpful, professional, knowledgeable, super friendly and seriously FLEXIBLE. We invited 114 people, and due to Covid, we unsurprisingly ended up lowering our guarantee to 40 ppl. Also, after a first round of selections and assembling the menu, I decided to switch things up and I made some off-book requests. Sherry was able to expertly pivot without issue and made suggestions that were right on. We met our contracted amount by adding an extra hors d’oeuvre and including higher-end rentals which hit the mark and made everything more elegant and lovely. It was PERFECT.Goodrich also offers a wide and attractive selection of rentals for dishes and silverware. Our florals were simply fresh green garlands and along with graduated votives, their dinnerware aside the brushed gold flatware complemented each other so well…it was so pretty (simple and elegant).Many of our guests made a point of telling us how great the food was and even went into which items they liked the best. Sherry even made special plates with a little bit of everything on them for my new husband and me. This was such an unexpected treat since we might not have eaten otherwise being that we quickly abandoned our table to mingle and visit with our friends and family. The bartender also made a point of checking in with my husband and me throughout the evening to make sure our glasses were always full. The service, Sherry and her team were just terrific, really top notch.My personal favorites: Petite Beef Wellingtons, Honey Smoked Salmon Mousse Canapes & the Carmel Apple & Goat Cheese in Phyllo, Ginger Macadamia Crusted Salmon with black pepper merlot reduction and the Slow-Roasted Beef Tenderloin with Horseradish Cream sauce & au jus…but frankly EVERYTHING was delicious; all the food was beyond yummy.Catering and the bar are arguably the most important components of making or breaking a wedding experience for guests. I would highly recommend Sherry Goodrich and Goodrich Gourmet! We shopped around a little prior to our tasting and hiring of Goodrich Gourmet. I found their price to be super competitive and Sherry was wonderful to talk with and get the feel we were going for along with our budget to come up with a custom and affordable delicious menu. We were married in a beach house/backyard and wanted a casual feel, so we went with the drop off catering option. This turned out to be a great decision for us. Sherrys team set up all of the food for us, put extra pans in the oven on warm and it was like they were never there (other than the awesome food they left behind)! I was busy getting ready and it was wonderful that all of the behind the scenes work went so smoothly, I didnt even have to think about it. The food was SO GOOD. From the tasting I knew we had found our caterer. Everyone at the wedding complimented us on how wonderful everything was. We also ended up with extra (had some no shows) that we worked on the remainder of the week! (Which is great because you just spent lord knows how much on a wedding, no grocery shopping was an extra bonus). This was a DIY brides catering dream come true! If you are looking for great food, at a great price, from a super nice lady, please give Goodrich Gourmet and Sherry a call! You will not be disappointed.

Our group used this Catering Company for 6 days straight (last week) for breakfast only and were never disappointed. The delivery ladies all arrived on time and were extremely organized and friendly. The food was always brought in and on the counter, ready to eat within minutes. It was hot and delicious when we ordered the Deluxe breakfast. The scrambled eggs and fruit were especially delicious. We made changes to our order nightly, sometimes at very late notice, and they always accommodated our requests. We would definitely use this company again and would highly recommend them to others!!

I chose Goodrich Gourmet because they had BETTER ideas and upped the game on this event. We were so fortunate to have Sherry cater our wedding 12.10.17! She was very helpful in so many regards. Her food was amazing and our guest raved about it being some of the best wedding food they have ever had. She was always very responsive and organized. Goodrich Gourmet was very courteous with the ordering process and patient while we waited for final numbers on people that were going to RSVP. Staff was very flexible with starting the order for the food that was needed at a lower number and then increasing it closer to the event. Great communication with staff regarding getting the cake made up and reasonable with prices as far as the amount of people being served. The food itself was phenomenal and everything was great! All of the guests attending the grand opening ceremony I was a part of raved about the buffalo chicken with blue cheese over triangle chips and the bruschetta was out of this world. The staff brings the food in and nicely sets everything up for you and gives great input on what will work best. They also provided cutlery and plates and napkins. Whether its a small event such as a grand opening or a big event like a wedding, Goodrich gourmet can handle it and make the event seem special no matter what. Most importantly any guests attending will leave with a great taste in their mouth and add to the memories of the event. I used Goodrich Gourmet for the first time for a Retirement Reception for a Dean at EVMS. I was impressed at first by the selection and the pricing, but come the day of the event, I was blown away by how professional Sherry and her staff were. The food was excellent, and the service was out of this world. They were well prepared, needed no assistance, and pretty much told me to sit back and enjoy the event and leave everything up to them. I contacted Sherry within less than a month from my grandmother’s 80th birthday dinner for my family. We wanted a very specific menu and would be in Virginia Beach from out of town. Sherry was patient and helpful with all of her descriptions of the food that they could provide on the first call. Following that call I picked our menu from their menu and we were rolling! A week before the event she called to clarify what beverages, and set up time. The food drop off was very quick. Now the best part- the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD. I was the favorite relative that night for booking Goodrich and people could not stop talking about how great the food was. Steak cooked to perfection that we even had leftovers for breakfast steak the next day, scallops, shrimp, lobster, sides, salads and a huge tray of cheesecake bites, strawberries, and brownies. We were all very full and very happy. I would reccommend Goodrich to anyone and everyone. Top notch place run by wonderful people with great food.

We hosted the Rehearsal Dinner for our sons wedding earlier this month. We live in the Richmond area and had no knowledge of caterers in Virginia Beach, where the wedding was held. We began our search online, and several things about Goodrich Gourmet Catering caught our attention. We made an appointment with Sherry Goodrich, and met with her in May. She was genuinely concerned with getting to know our wishes, and since we had never done anything like this before, she offered excellent guidance in the areas where we werent sure. We were comfortable from the start in entering into an agreement, and we did so as soon as we found a suitable venue (a conference room at The Wingate by Wyndham, Greenbrier Circle in Chesapeake -- also an excellent choice). Sherry was thorough with all aspects of the proposal and contract, and she was extremely willing to make any adjustments that we asked for along the way. The evening exceeded our expectations in just about every way. The food was delicious and exactly as described; the service was above and beyond. Sherry and two servers were punctual and efficient with set-up, service, and clean-up, and they were beyond helpful with respect to a few last minute matters that needed attention. We found the cost to be very reasonable for the outstanding food and service provided. If you are looking for a caterer in the Virginia Beach area, I suggest you look no further! Angela Howsmon

Planning a Spring Tour for the Stoughton High School Norwegian Dancers included trying to figure out how to feed 24 High School Students & 10 Chaperones breakfast in 2 Sandbridge Beach Homes. One call to Sherry at Goodrich Gourmet Catering Co and our worries were over. We had early (6:00 a.m. early) HOT breakfast delivered to 2 beach homes on time. We also had to change up our delivery times the night before and Sherry had no problem accommodating us. Sherry was absolutely wonderful to work with the 8 days we were touring the area. The employees were so friendly and fun to chat with while they were setting up the breakfast. HIGHLY recommend giving Sherry a call for all your catering needs while in Virginia Beach!! Liz Eugster

Goodrich Gourmet Catering Company catered my wedding reception hors doevres and dinner on September 25th, 2015.I had an absolutely wonderful experience working with Sherry Goodrich to plan our dream wedding dinner. She was always available for me and willing to help me out and was understanding when I kept changing my mind back and forth. We had been having issues with the time frame for my wedding and she was willing to help me figure out ways to make things work that I was unable to see on my own. She was an absolute joy, and treats you professionally but like a good friend at the same time. She really cares that you get things exactly how you want. I was so happy to have found her.Our hors doevres were available to pick up during the day as we needed as we had a gap between the wedding ceremony and reception. We got the artisan cheese display with fruit (which everyone went nuts for ) as well as the bruschetta, which I absolutely looooved.Dinner was at the venue as promised, on time and with all of the discussed details. We had a strawberry salad with different dressing options. The vinaigrette and blue cheese made it spectacular. It was displayed beautifully, like artwork rather than just a salad.For our meal options, we had the roasted red pepper chicken which was raved about as well as the penne alfredo pasta with chicken. It was seriously the best alfredo ever, and everyone told me so.Our sides were rolls and butter and asparagus with balsamic glaze.All in all, we got everything we were looking for out of our first meal as man and wife, as well as customer service that was out of this world.I cannot rave enough about Goodrich Gourmet Catering and Sherry Goodrich. Choose them. You will not be disappointed; your expectations will only be exceeded.Thank you Goodrich Gourmet Catering!
