Absolutely do not employ for glass repair at your home. I had three glass sections repaired all single pane... $170 per repair. Now, I would have absolutely replaced myself for the $20 worth of glass from Lowes and a couple hours of retacking the window casings... but Im military, out of town. I assure you, you can find someone for much less. This isnt a craftsman aesthetic situation, just replacing some panes of glass.Oh, and to the business. Using the words cut on site is meaningless, of course a glass repair outfit would have a glass cutter. Definitely got taken advantage of... which is unfortunate, but hopefully by reading this, you can avoid a similar situation.

I was fortunate enough to have Garland Fone handle the installation of my kitchen bay window. He had another young man with him and between the two of them they were professional, courteous and very informative. I could not have asked for a better experience between the two of them. I will be calling The Glass Doctor in the future for additional window repair. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Good service on vehicle, however fairly can say THEY made NO attempt to clean up class that was in carpets, floors, back SUV compartment, upper hatch rear door seal,, exc.. you get it, had to spend additional 2 hours my self cleaning,,,Now the good I suppose, they had all work done with replacement glass done within 1 hour,, rush job?? As far as I can tell GREAT Work and I thank them for keeping the vehicle indoors over weekend.

They really helped me out so much. I can’t begin to thank them for what they did. So I am military that was stationed in NC and had to drive to Norfolk, VA to ship my vehicle before I left with my family overseas. On my way to VA, my windshield got a crack in it and the VPC can’t accept vehicles with damage like that, so already in a stressful situation from moving me and my family overseas, I had to get it fixed and shipped in two days. I called them on the road to VA and they got me an appointment the next day. They were able to get me in and out within an hour, but here is were it gets good. Due to calibration issues(it’s a 2020 with a camera in the windshield) with the dealership, I missed my appointment to ship the car and was getting on a plane the next day to move overseas. Stressed out and not knowing what to do, the owner of Glass Doctor Scott called me and said he will help me out and work with the dealership to get it fixed. Long story short I was able to leave my car behind while it was getting fixed and Scott took care of everything, working with me, the dealership and my insurance. The car eventually was fixed and my brother was able to ship it for me. I appreciate everything Scott and his team did for me, they are super awesome and I would highly recommend them for any of your glass needs. Thank you Glass Doctor team.

They did not clean up after they were finished. Left glass all over the side walk in front of my house. People walk their dogs on thus sidewalk!The technician did not put ant cover on my floors and ruined 2 throw rugs. The technician they sent did not put the seal around all the glass on the door. I had to call them back out to finish the job properly. I couldnt take off my job and asked that they come back out after I got home from work, 4:00 pm. At around 1:00, the tech blew up my phone, while I was trying to do my job, insisting he come out now. Very unprofessional. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL. Im sad for my landlord, I know she paid a pretty penny to fix this door

Every employee that Ive dealt with over the past year have been polite, courteous and so helpful. When other venders try to replace entire sliding glass doors but one of Glass Doctors technicians say its not necessary because we can fix it by doing ..... that means alot as they are looking out for their customer.

We have 2 transom style windows that lost their seal. 1 was on a 2nd story with a 20 foot ceiling. We had 4 other companies out to give us an estimate and not one would take on the high job. Glass Doctor didnt even flinch. We just had it installed a few days ago. It looks great. We spent $650 on 2 small windows which seems very high but considering noone else would touch the job we are thrilled they were willing. Im not sure I would say it is a value but it was a difficult installation due to the height. We would call them again.

I had a set of glass shower door that fell inside of the tub over the weekend. I called and left a message with the answering service which was good. The company called me first thing Monday and sent Doug out Tuesday. He explained that I needed a small part and that we would schedule to install it when it came in. This is a home that I own but do not live. I live about 40 mins away so timing is everything. Doug kept me informed the whole time. We met at the home on time. It was a quick and easy repair. Doug was was friendly and polite. I felt comfortable with him the home and if I ever need a repair in the future, I will be calling Glass Door of Virginia Beach and asking for Doug. Also This was an ongoing issue and had several people to supposedly fix the issue so $150.00 that covered a small part, an adjustment to the rollers, reinstall both pieces of glass and two home visits was worth it. The piece of mind, priceless. Thank you Doug!!

Upon being provided instructions over the phone from them on how to easily remove my window frame with the broken glass, I brought it to them just before 10 AM and they had it fixed by noon.

I selected this company to access and repair/replace parts for a client selling their home. This occurred on June 30th and was scheduled to be completed by closing date on August 5th. I had to continue to call to get updates on when parts would arrive. Finally after 4 weeks I was informed parts were on back ordered. This would have been good customer service if we had been told this. The property closed as scheduled and here I am still dealing with this issue on August 25th. The new owner called on August 20th and was told it will be 2 more weeks before parts will arrive. Hope he doesn’t hold his breath. Mind you my sellers had to leave money in escrow after paying 1/2 when parts were ordered. If you want good customer service and updates on jobs, go somewhere else.

We called few other window glass replacement shop and the estimated time is 3 weeks but this company came to our house the next day after I called in the afternoon! And after 4 days the technician came at 9:30am to replace the broken glass on our room window and finished up the work in less than an hour! Highly recommended and professional!

Broken window in winter? They are the company to call. They were able to replace my odd size, double pane, low E gas window in a few days. All people I dealt with were very professional and installed an excellent quality replacement glass. The price was a fraction of the cost of a new window. I LOVE the 2 hour appointment time they gave me and a call when they were on their way. Very respectful of my time. Very reasonable price.

The Glass Doctor company was terrible to work with. They sent out a technician who measured the window incorrectly, which required an extra visit to measure it again. When I stated to the second technician that this was the day the new window was meant to be installed and not remeasured, which was a significant inconvenience, he was dry, not apologetic, and even spoke unprofessionally about the first technician, saying that hes undergoing training and that once he saw his name on the roster he knew it would be measured incorrectly.If the first technician, who was polite and thoughtful, is indeed being trained, a trained technician should have come with him to save the resident the inconvenience of an extra week wasted for an appointment simply to double-check a basic measurement.Not only did it take weeks to get that initial measurement, double-checked measurement, and glass, but the second technician did not wear a mask. Given that technicians are exposed to many different people and are entering your home, they should be required to wear masks. It should not be the responsibility of the resident to request them to wear one. Given how dry and unprofessional the second technician was, I personally did not feel comfortable requesting him to wear one, in case he became rude or replied that he didnt have one and would have to leave the job incomplete - once again.The window is now replaced and looks fine, but all the phone calls to schedule, 3 appointments to get it right, and the lack of professionalism and safety certainly dont merit a rating higher than 1 star.

This company is fast and efficient with great customer service. While other companies only want to replace the whole window, Glass Dr. replaced only the double pane at a great savings. Highly recommend them.

So I had a cracked windshield and needed it replaced. So I reached out to Glass doctor. They were able to come out right away to my work and replace the windshield, which was great. Technicians were friendly and did the job quickly.Fast forward 4 weeks later, it was raining, and I went out to my car at lunch and water was leaking into my car from the windshield. So I called them back and they had me bring the car to them. They looked at it and fixed the leak. Turned out the seal they did was not complete and there was a pin sized hole allowing water to slowly leak in that eventually started pouring into my car.Fast forward 1 week later and another leak appeared in a different location. So I took it back to them again. They could not find where it was leaking so they just resealed the whole thing again.Since then, I have not had any more leaks. (knock on wood). So while the people were friendly each time and they were very easy to work with, I did have to get my car worked on 3 times in order for it to get fixed.I also have a car that has sensors, etc in the windshield and they do not have the equipment to calibrate that so I had to take my car to the dealership to get that part of the repair done.Overall, even though the staff was friendly and they were able to get me in quickly all 3 times, I am not sure I would recommend them just based on the fact that I had to bring my car back multiple times AND they never offered any kind of compensation for the fact that I had to keep taking time of work to do this.**Update**So its been about 9 months since my repair. And the windshield is leaking...AGAIN. I havent been driving much due to covid 19 and my car is normally parked in my garage so it has not been in the rain much since October. Then tonight (July 2020) Im driving after my car had been parked outside while it rained, and water starts pouring into my car. So Im going to have to take the car back a 4th time now for the same repair.

Great experience and wonderful people! I highly recommend this place of business! My house was broken into on the peninsula side of Hampton Roads. The robber(s) had broken my kitchen window to get in. I called multiple window replacement establishments on the peninsula and got the run-around on how it would take anywhere from 5-16 business days to replace the glass in our window frame. I called Glass Doctor and they were able to get me in right away, promising a next day pick up. They were so friendly and compassionate. They were also so grateful to have my business that they made me a priority and had my window fixed within 3 hours. I am extremely happy with the work they did on the window and highly recommend them. Because of them, I was able to restore my peace of mind quicker.

These guys came to our rescue when no other glass company would! We had a huge 6 foot wide by 8 foot tall window above our entrance doors in our foyer where the seal had broken and it was full of condensation. No other glass company would even attempt to give us a quote but these guys did a fantastic job at a really great price! I want to say that this company was quick, reliable and great for working with me on time frames. I called to have two windows in the house repaired because they were fogging. Andre was awesome! He called me in the morning to schedule a time frame and kept me posted if he was running late. When his assistant measured a window incorrectly, Andre called back to the office to have another one quickly made, ran out there to pick it up and came back the same day to install. I am in the Customer Service field so I look at the importance of it. This company was top notch for customer service.

I needed to replace four dual-pane window panes that had experienced seal failure and called Glass Doctor for a quote. Their technician Garland came out to my house and measured the damaged window panes and gave me a fast and reasonable estimate. Today, Garland returned and removed the old window panes and installed the new window panes. The windows look as good as new, the new panes perfectly match the existing panes, and Garland could not have been any nicer or more competent. I will certainly not hesitate to call Glass Doctor in the future when I have need of them. I would highly recommend Glass Doctor and their technician Garland!

Spoke with Kiana(SP?)yesterday. She set up an appointment to replace the windshield in a fleet truck for the company I work for. I just got off the phone with her (3:45 pm) because no tech has shown up. She has no record of the call, or the appointment. She even quoted me a price. This isnt the first time, but its the last time. Time to look for new glass company. The tech does outstanding work, but if I cant get someone scheduled to get out here, how can he grace me with his superior installation skills?

They scheduled me right away, and the technician was prompt, friendly, professional and even offered me some other options that I had not considered. He was willing to forgo a sale just to put me, as the customer, first.

Scheduling service was hassle free, they showed up on time and did a great job for so much less than a major competitors price!

Called and made an appointment for a windshield replacement after i failed to have a star repaired and my windshield cracked due to the heat. Price was the cheapest i was quoted. I was on my way and would be there early when i received a call saying they could fit me in early. They took the car back almost 30 minutes early and in under 45 minutes my new windshield was installed and i was out the door. Fast, friendly and convenient to work. Nothing but good things to say so far, i would recommend these guys.

I only gave them one star because I couldnt write my review without giving the one star. My experience with Glass Doctor was unacceptable. It took forever for them to call me back. A man called me back and when I told him that I had called the day before, he was extremely arrogant. I think his name was Ed. Then they sent what they called their best technician out, as to reassure me. My appointment was set for the next morning. When the technician arrived he smelled like he just came from a bar. He did a reasonable job but I found out that I was charged $50.00 more than what Binswanger would have charged me for the same windshield. The overall experience was not pleasant, or customer friendly. It was like pulling teeth. It shouldnt be this hard. I would not recommend this business. I would be leary of anyone that did. A couple of the reviews I read were very good, however in retrospect they seem to have too much technical lingo and are probably written by the people who work there to make up for bad reviews. I would give them and F terrible.

Not happy.We had double glazed windows repaired in the shop. We took one in first to evaluate the work and told them we had 19 to 22 more. Window was well done. We put it in the fridge overnight to see if it fogged and it was fine. We took in eight more and when we were called to pick them up there was sealant oozing out onto the glass as if they were not finished. Front desk offered to trim them but some were still gooey. We took them, left eight more and said we would trim them at home but not to use so much sealant next time. When we picked up the second batch of eight there was no ooze but one of the frames flexed. I told the inside tech (Andre) it did not seem like that window was sealed. He said You said you didnt want any sealant. But of course I wanted sealant I just didnt want it visible on the glass. I dont seal it inside (the way it was built in the first place), I seal it outside against the glass with clear silicone. It is easier for me to take it apart if it comes back some day , the tech tells me. I told him I want it to look good and it doesnt matter to me how hard it is for him to take it apart. I have been doing this for 30 years and never had any complaints, the tech says. How is that for good customer relations...I was just told I am more unreasonable than all other customers because I dont want substandard work. They kept the second batch and sealed them inside JUST LIKE THE FIRST ONE WE GOT. Once home with the second batch of eight we noticed a piece of crud inside one of the windows plus two smaller ones that had the spacer showing in the field of view on all four corners. We took these back and had to argue about why this was unacceptable. The tech agreed to do the large window with the speck but not the smaller ones with bad corners. The front desk told me you cant expect perfection since it is just a guy working in a shop and not a factory and nobody else ever complained. I called them the next day to talk to the owner but was told I did not need to, they were going to redo the smaller windows. When we picked those up the large window had the low-E glass on the inside and there was a piece of crud inside one of the smaller windows that had been redone. We just sealed the first batch of eight on our own at home after taking the tacky looking sealant off the glass rather than run that gantlet again. .Front desk had a point: it is an open shop, literally, the garage doors were open every time I was there. The work table is a dark color. You get ambient air in the windows and the tech seems to think he can do no wrong so does not find errors. I know he can do good work because I saw it. I dont need this kind of hassle and dont appreciate being treated like an inconvenience as well as being treated as unreasonable. They get one star because they are capable of good work...and you might even get it without having to fight for it. We paid $145 to $200 per window depending on size. The rest of our windows are going to be done by C & G Glass for about the same price.

Kiana is very horrible at scheduling appts,it was bad on her part because i specifically told her my reason for calling for someone else. Thats why I took down her name and the time I spoke to her for reasons like this. I seen more than one bad review on her, thats something her supervisor/boss should be looking into.

I had them come out to replace my cracked windshield on a very hot day and there were complications. First, the tech broke the cowl ,which he made good on. Unfortunately , a few weeks latter when it rained I noticed huge leaks which soaked the interior carpet. I called Misty and she was really nice and apologetic, this time I decided to drop off the car so they can do it in their garage. They admitted that there was a problem with the installation and resealed the windshield. We sometimes make mistakes on repairs at Tidewater Sew Vac so I know how things can go wrong in repair work. I appreciated Glass Doctors eagerness to correct the problems and get me back on the road. I will use them again on my car and recommend them to my Office for glass work in our stores.

Had an appointment for Thurs 2:30 pm, didnt show, no call. When I called them, they said they called 4 times but no record on my cell phone log. Couldnt schedule for Friday, try Monday. Workmanship never evaluated based on non-existent customer service.
