We love this place! The front desk has great service and gave us a lot of useful information. We supposed to be checking out before 11am, but something came up and we were late for almost a hour and half, the room service was very patient and waiting for us. They are very nice people!

Great restaurant for a nice dinner - in contrast to the uber chill vibe of the surrounding choices. Shorts, t-shirts and flip flops are still OK. Apps and drinks were inventive and excellent. Food was very good, if lower 48. No fresh/local fish was the only disappointment. Great service, reasonably priced.

Trade Winds cheated us. We stayed there for one night. We didn’t use the room until night and there was a notice on the door saying there is no water in the rooms. We couldn’t use the washroom at all as there was no water. Once we checked out, they charged us $200 saying we broke the faucet. How can we even break it if we didn’t use it? There was no water. Pure Scam. I called them up multiple times to check this but they always say someone will call back.

Im not the person to write a review but when something is bad, I have to say something. The food here was not fresh. I don’t understand how a “local” restaurant has seafood that you can tell is frozen. The owners are American, almost everyone that goes there is a tourist, no locals eat there. The staff is “friendly” but it seems very forced. The food is just not good. I ordered the conch fritters, calamari and shrimp scampi. All three items were not cooked well. The fritters tasted like tex mex... the calamari was fried in huge clumps, it was dry and the shrimp scampi was a disaster chewy and no flavor just all around bad. I ended up not eating any of my food and the waiter didnt ask why and just took our FULL plates of food and gave us the check. I tried to give this place a chance even though the locals told me not to. If you have good taste you wont go to this restaurant.*SN I came here recently but confused the restaurant on google reviews. I didnt like my experience that much that i had to post this under the right restaurant.

Reviewing the restaurant (didn’t stay at the inn) for two non-alcoholic “punch” drinks (concentrate fruit juice) and dinner, no appetizers. My salmon fillet wasn’t fully cooked in the middle and the “chef’s vegetables” were boiled, unseasoned broccoli and squash. Overall, we were disappointed in the low value of the extremely overpriced food, and the restaurant’s zero effort to incorporate local cuisine. We regret spending one of our evenings here.

Commenting on the restaurant as I didn’t stay in hotel. Food was sub-par and service was slow, way over priced too. The only good things were the bread and conch fritters. My fish was completely bland, the rice had no taste I didn’t even eat it and the broccoli was like my mom used to make when I was a kid and I hated it steamed with no salt. Stay away except for appetizers.

We stayed here 1/17/2020. The room was quite small but the beds were comfortable and the AC worked well. Hot water eventually makes it to the shower but you must be patient. We had dinner in the restaurant last night and every meal was excellent especially the swordfish and salmon entrees. Continental breakfast is set up at 8:00 AM and it was more than what we would receive in any decent hotel in the 48 states.I gave 3 stars because for the price we paid I would expect a bit more space, and due to the lack of noise remediation. The locals really like to crank their music and it tends to run all night. I like music but I like to sleep too and without earplugs, that’s not happening. It’s not the fault of the owners, nevertheless it’s irritating.Btw, the view is fantastic!

This place is great. The customer service is awesome and the fact that you get breakfast included makes things better. Sure, it might not be a 5 star accomodations but the location and view more than make up for it. Also, the restaurant when open has really good food options. The red snapper is really tasty and fresh.

My husband and I ate here on our honeymoon last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was wonderful. We ordered the shrimp pasta with Thai curry and the lobster pasta in the garlic sauce. I also had the passionfruit martini, which was the special cocktail of the night.I was delighted with the FRESH and flavorful vegetables and fruits that were in the pasta! I kept raving about that one particular aspect all week! The pastas in general were delicious. The lobster was done perfectly, and the curry worked so well with the shrimp. The only thing Id change when I go back: Id ask the chef to hold back on the garlic in that garlic sauce. (I have a sensitive palette.) Even so, I enjoyed everything we had very much, and I cant wait to come again! Also, its true about the patio seats. Lovely.

We can wholeheartedly recommend this place! We had dinner and drinks there. Staff were extremely friendly, service was great (for example, free non-chlorine drinking water), prices were appropriate and most of all: the food was really, really good. The tuna I had (from their specials menu) was among the best I ever enjoyed. Be sure to pay them a visit!

We stayed in the casita, the little house in the back of the property. We got the special package that included Biobay tickets. The room was average, tiles in the bathroom were coming off the wall, the toilet didnt want to flush even after plunging several times. The door was tricky to lock. AC worked good. The breakfast in the morning was okay. Better than some, worse than others. Due to the price, its about right I would say. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Usually dont leave 5 star ratings but this place deserves it. Clean and friendly, very accommodating. Great views, excellent seating area. Cute and quaint. Beach in front not the greatest but plenty of others not far away. If I was going to improve one thing it would be wash clothes, but seems that nobody in P.R. uses them. If we stay in Vieques again, this would be where.

The rooms are honestly very nice and cozy and the beds and sheets are very comfortable to sleep on. I also had access to an outdoor patio which was nice and relaxing. They were also kind enough to offer free breakfast consisting of cereal, coffee, and bread with spreads. Also theyve got cool maps in the front and a little gif shop. Also the view of the ocean is nice and its relaxing to eat breakfast in the morning out in the front. Cool.

Its hard to think of a better location. It is right on the Malecon in Esperanza. My room was small, but very clean with a comfortable bed. Now, I dont *think* my room had AC, but (a) I just might have missed it and (b) with the vents opened and the ocean breezes, it was lovely without it.

Everything is great, except for the WiFi. Had it not been here at all, it would be fine, but its advertised and the credentials are given at check-in. The primary router signal is too week to reach the perimeter rooms and the extenders are not set up correctly. So, no internet, unless you host your own hotspot with your wireless data.

Common Areas and location are good and look nice. But room conditions are no good at all compared to the price. We were warmly welcomed by Very big and strong mosquitoes . When we were there, all convenient stores were closed. That’s only 7pm! We were so thirsty and could not get even a bottle of water. But the owner just gave us the room key and went home. We asked lots of people trying to find some drinking water but failed. The owner accidentally came back for something and we asked him for some water. He only gave us two each a small bottle even he knew that that’s far more less than needed and he knew very clear that we paid him for our breakfast but we would leave before breakfast was ready. I just couldn’t understand why couldn’t he nicer for another bottle of water?! He lost nothing! Will not recommend this hotel to anybody!

We had dinner here on the advice of a nice gentleman. Where it does have a good view I would not recommend for dinner. We had one of the pasta dishes with flounder and while the pasta was good the flounder tasted frozen. We also had the artichoke hearts with Gorgonzola cream the dish tasted flat and there were large chunks of a cheese (not Gorgonzola) that could not be distinguished from the artichoke. The server did offer to take it off our bill. Very pricey. Lots of better places nearby.Urban CowgillFeb 2015

Best dinner experience on Vieques. Trade Winds offers island fine dining with an elevated view of the ocean harbor in Esperanza. They have an extensive seafood menu. Serval choices have Thai curry and coconut elements with fresh veggies. We liked this place so much we returned the next night, which is an uncommon practice in our travels.

Stopped by for both dinner and breakfast. Breakfast was probably the best breakfast in Esperanza. Lovely omelette and great eggs Benedict. Dinner was so so. The lobster and quinoa was very tasty if a bit over priced. The pork mofongo was less desirable. Pork was dry and food was relatively flavorless. That said the other meals smelled and looked very delicious.

I also recommend snorkeling off of Mosquito Pier.
