This is our local Vienna VA coffee shop, our home away from home. The owner and the staff have a passion for a coffee which is reflected in the drinks and the decor, which is warm and inviting. They are constantly trying new things and have events (pre and hopefully soon post covid) which are community oriented. I particularly love the music themed decorations, like the cafe tables with the classic rock and roll posters. Reminds me of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

The place is kinda messy. I’m not sure, but they kinda just have an extension to their store. However, their coffee is so good. I ordered flat white and it was on point. The service was good too.

The coffee taste is not strong and fresh. Also, all the staff are friendly and the parking lot is convenient.

Update 7/4/21: Legal tender CASH is accepted once again! Inside visits AND inside seating, and GREAT outdoor seating too. Excellent coffee, as always. Get fully vaccinated, and then come by and enjoy some WONDERFUL coffee!

This is the best local coffee house. The coffee is delicious and the service is quick, and good. I like that Cafe Amouri is offering classes to learn about coffee and how to roast coffee beans.

Great coffee but they see much more concerned with a hyper-militant mask policy. Theres no chance Ill be returning back there again. Even if the mask policy is relaxed theres too much here to deal with.

Their coffee is very good. Do not get the grilled cheese. Its more like a slightly toasted cheese sandwich.

The baked goods were okay but the only things available on a Saturday in the early afternoon were a brownie and the last crumb cake. They need to keep better stock of their baked goods.

Fabulous coffee and friendly service. Drip selection rotates, Sumatra is my favorite. Limited but creative & tasty food selection. Carryout only now with separate order and pickup windows, Im very happy not have to go inside to place my order or pickup. Not much outdoor seating, but including the Towns benches it was sufficient during my Saturday morning visit. Hope its safe to sit inside soon.

Really cool looking cafe! They have coffee roasting classes and many other group activities. The coffee itself was pretty good. I got the cold brew and it was good. My wife got the Belgium hot chocolate and it was delicious!Also a great place to hang out and get work done.

Not sure whats up with the owner (or whoever responds to these reviews) but the emoji thing is super unprofessional. They must want more info so Ill put it out there. This place is full of flies. The whole dining area had what had to be a dozen flying around. Landing on people and food. I have serious doubts about the cleanliness of this place and wont be back.

Their iced latte was average. Nothing special. Most of the baristas are rude and seem like they dont like to be asked questions about the menu or ingredients. Say you have a food allergy, to be more specific, nut allergies, and want to make sure what you order is nut-free before ordering anything, the answer you will get is a simple “ I dont know!” with a baditude.

Used their mobile app for the first time! I loved that I was able to order my coffee LAST NIGHT to pickup this AM. Got two drinks and some beans to go. Efficient, got a text when the order was ready, and the drinks were tasty. We love cafe amouri!

Actually better coffee than I expected. The breakfast sandwich was good, nothing over the top, but didn’t upset my stomach before a 3 hour flight acroos country.

Love their coffee.. And love the way that the staff member treat there customers.I highly recommended it if you around Vienna town.(Thanks to them for doing the social distancing by having online orders with SMS notification and call people by the microphone when the order is ready to be picked up)

Finally had time to stop and check out this quaint place and so glad I did. LOVED IT! From the friendly ambience to decor of old records posted on one of the walls, the delicious yet artsy latte and savory sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich, all together perfect! Definitely a place to become a regular. Go check them out!!!

Parking is not plentiful, this was my first vist, staff was nice, the cashier got my order wrong, he charged me for two different coffees. I thought the cost was excessive for one cup $9 and some change. I thought COVID drove up the cost. I received a café au lait and reg coffee. I asked for Splenda at the bottom of the cup received reg sugar in one and none in the other...I discovered this once I left.

Edit: changed to 5 stars from 2 stars after they reached out to me about the rock. Still love the coffee.Okay to be fair, their coffee is really good.However, my review reflects the fact that I ordered a pound of their Dutchess blend beans for espresso (which are delicious). However, my batch had a small rock which promptly got very stuck in my burr grinder as I was grinding. I could not remove the upper burr and it took a bit of force to get the rock out.So coffee - 5 starsRock - 1 star

As a tea drinker I love Caffe Amouri. This is the only coffee house that I’ve found that gives us much care and thoughtfulness to their tea selection and quality as they do their coffee.

Though the staff were prompt and nice and the atmosphere was agreeable, the coffee was very blah. The latte was mostly milk and did not have the nice balance of acidity and sweetness that a good cuppa should have. The french press was even more underwhelming with an extremely insipid brew. I wonder if this was just an off day for Amouri? Having heard good things, I might come back another day to see if I get similar results.

I cannot recommend this place enough! The coffee is delicious and they actually have fresh roasted beans for crazy people like myself who like to make their own specialty coffee at home.

I waited over 15 minutes for two lattes. They either have no system and make things up as they go or ran out of coffee/milk. Every single person that came after me got their order ahead of me. The latte was good but nothing to write home about.

If coffee is a song, this song is a hit. The onsite roasting, live music plays, heavenly aroma, friendly conversations, musical wall art and community vibe create an experience of super sonic symphony that’s hard to describe in words. I have always enjoyed caffe amouris coffee. Lately the service and product have been subpar. Their cold brew tastes nothing like a cold brew. Today my ice coffee tasted like soap.

Amouri serves amazing specialty beverages. I personally recommend the turmeric ginger latte. They also roast great beans! Highly recommend.

This place is great. Everyone here is so friendly. My boyfriend and I came to have some coffee and tea. We ended up playing checkers and unexpectedly listening to and watching open mic night. Caffe Amouri has great, relaxing vibes with yummy drinks. Im excited to come back!

The owner of this cafe cares about everyone thinking they are a cool and progressive cafe with possitive ties to the community. He cares about this way more than he actually cares about his employees. Feel free to send Fairfax fire department a FOIA request to view the report where the building got smoked out from a fire and he forced his employees to return inside right after. He didnt perform air quality or safety testing as is osha required. Also feel free to FOIA request their health inspection reports, interesting finds in there as well. No business that treats its employees like that has the right to say they care about their customers or their community. His hostility towards me while I was trying to address and correct his behavior is a clear indication of his true character. Disappointing for a place advertising itself as a community coffee shopCoffee was okay and staff was friendly. Be nice to the staff because they already go though enough just by working there.Edit: business owner said my claims were false without refuting any points I made. He is correct in saying they can be verified though, which I did when I got all the reports because they are public data upon request. The neighboring space that caught fire was underneath them. The fire report mentions heavy smoke in the cafe itself and fire response entered the cafe during remediation while determining the best point of entry. The health inspector was called in after after but thats not the only safety requirement to be met after a fire as I confirmed with osha in the ongoing investigation. And clearing a building for re-entry is not the same as clearing it for re-habitation. The owner instead of demonstrating concern for this incident thinks the only way anyone could care is if they are after personal gain. I stand to gain nothing from holding him accountable and it is time and effort on my end put in to stop poor treatment of employees. I tried contacting them via 3 seperate methods and he was never anything other than defensive and hostile towards my inquiries which I made only to determine if the proper minimum steps were taken as required by law. Youd hope better from someone than having employees work in a smoked out building just because its legal (assuming it passed the required remediation steps which I did not find evidence of yet but am still working on). But hey, he said he paid them right? Doesnt sound like a safety first attitude to me, and very dangerous especially if an employee has asthma etc.

Their coffee beans - i got to say is very good. They are fast and provide excellent service. I love their latte - perfect amount of milk and espresso.

Easily the worst experience I’ve had at a coffee shop. First of all it’s cold, and they make you stand outside, like a dog. Secondly by the time you get your coffee in a cardboard cup, any flavor the coffee once had is mostly gone, so it doesn’t taste good. I also had to sit on a park bench to drink my semi warm coffee and eat my cold croissant. I also had to battle the wind for control over my flat white. Every time I put my drink down to eat my croissant the wind blew it over and it spilled. I’d rather go get coffee at dunkin if it means I can sit inside like a human. Won’t be back.

Truly the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had!

Their custom drinks, cafe amouri and mocha amouri, are really well balanced in sweetness and flavor. Do not get the cold drinks as they tend to be watered down more.Pricy, especially because you arent paying to be in the cafe where you really get most of caffe amouri, but solid cuppa regardless

I wish that I could give a more nuanced star rating because my experiences here have really run the gambit, but after this morning’s visit, I will probably not return.The coffee and pastries are excellent. I love the high tables for working because I like to stand up while I work and these tables make that an option. I thought this was going to be my home away from home I was looking for since leaving my favorite coffee shop in Johannesburg in January.But that brings me to the “nuance”. It’s great that they have free WiFi! However, in order to fully use it they require you to log in and check-in via Facebook to really access the internet. I gave up FB and not going back.Additionally, I’ve been coming here multiple times per week since February and not a single person working there has bothered to interact with me in any way except the perfunctory requirements to take my order and move me through the line. Some of the employees are just rude. I’m not sure what it takes to be a regular here, but I’m not going to bother finding out.

Got a double chocolate chip drink here. Doesn’t taste good. Don’t have tables for people to sit and time limit is 30 mins. Sorry won’t be coming back here next time

Good coffee, good service, free wifi, nice music overall. Real Coffee served in ceramic cups. Changed my comments after owner nice and detailed answer. Cups and straws really looked like plastic to me. According to owner, they are made from plastic substitute. A review of such substitute is on the website scientificamerican. This plastic alternative can take up to 1000 years to decompose in a landfill. Why not using glass for customers who sit here ? Also this plastic made from corn needs to be recycled separately. People just dump it with other stuff in the coffee trash. Instead of providing metal knives, they provide plastic ones, of the brand solo (see picture).

We had lattes which were frothy and tasty. We also had crumb cake which was scrumptious. Overall a fun time, we even played banana grams which they had in the back. 👍🏼

Been going here since high school, and im out of college now. I love the expansion and really looking forward to them doing dine in again because the atmosphere is my favorite things about it. Definitely has a quirky feel to it that I miss and love. Bathrooms smell nice always.

I like a nice, cozy coffee shop that feels like home, and this fits the bill. The classic rock is pleasant rather than oppressive. The operators clearly care about the quality of their work. If you want to sit down and work a while, Id recommend visiting at a low-traffic time. Theres a decent amount of seating, but the really comfy seats might be taken.

I come here at least 2-3 times a week but today I received the worst customer service I have ever experienced.Waited for 20 minutes for my coffee because the cashier messed up my order. One of the worker which I believe his name is “Reece” has such an attitude when I kindly requested for them to fix my order. He pretty much said that it was my fault for messing up the order when I specifically requested for an iced coffee rather than hot. I used to love this place but this incident has happened way to frequent. Rude staff and poor customer service. I hope the higher ups see this comment. Would not recommend coming here.

The coffee is good but I was pretty disappointed by the food. Got a bacon egg and cheese and you cant even taste the bacon because its just little bits mixed in and there is way too much egg.

Caffe Amouri has been a Vienna institution for years now. They care very deeply about both coffee and community. They roast their own beans, so you know that what you get will be fresh. I recommend trying one of the adventure series roasts that theyve got as theyre the most unique tastes in the cafe. They have incredibly knowledgeable people all around. The owners and several of the staff have various certifications that show their dedication to learning everything about the coffee world. They run classes for people wanting to learn more - from beginners to experts. They help run community events each year like Vienna Idol - not just a store in Vienna but part of the community.To top it all off, theyve been incredibly innovative since the beginning of the shelter in place orders. Theyve managed to change their business workflow several times, from helping customers in the lobby at a distance of six feet to closing the store and only doing beans via delivery to now requiring patrons to order on a website.

I had heard a lot about this place in the past, mainly for its live concerts and obviously Coffee. During these circumstances, to be honest, they are taking utmost precautions - Kudos on that. I ordered a hot latte which was quite smooth- not the best one but tasted good. Only thing I didnt appreciate is, the tip system. After placing the order, they ask for how much tip we would like to add - which according to me wasnt very comforting. I usually dont hesitate but asking outright for tip is something I didnt acknowledge.

By far the best coffee in Northern Virginia and the DC metro area. They roast and grind their own beans curated from locations around the world. After buying and brewing my coffee from their freshly roasted beans, I am spoiled and other coffees do not compare.

The coffee and food is good quality and everything they serve is made to order. They roast their own coffee and grind it everyday. The coffee is not bitter like it is at other chain restaurants and the atmosphere is ten times better. It is a great spot that helps to bring the community closer together.

Love this shop. One of the few shops in Nova that understand third wave coffee. They are highly knowledgeable and very friendly! I love their classes and trainings they offer the community! Definitely check them out!

Best coffee/tea spot i have been to hands down. Been going here for 5 years now and am never disappointed. They have something for everyone (handpours, hand shaken over ice, french press, lattes, etc...), just describe your taste and they are more then hapoy to recommend something!!

Always love going here! Nice selection of coffee drinks with almond milk. Several teas as well. 3 hot panini options --all are very good and filling. Nice baked good selection. New tumeric ginger latte is excellent and so unique! They always try to make some neat latte art for you as well. The venue has a lot of natural light and is decorated with record albums. They are always playing great music such as Ella Fitzgerald. They have WiFi and you can bring your laptop and work here. If you are looking for a fabulous indie neighborhood coffee shop this is it.

I came here as a continuation of a work meeting with some colleagues after eating lunch at Sushi Yoshi across the street. I like their interior concept, but it is WAY too small. There was absolutely no available seats or tables. It was cold outside, and we had no choice but to sit outside. It seems like they actually expanded because my co-worker mentioned that it used to be smaller...but still packed on a Friday at 1pm! The larger room without the cashier can use some sprucing up in decor.I got the honey matcha latte which was AMAZING. I definitely recommend the drink! I heard their coffee is outstanding as well.There were 4 of us and the order was taken under one name, and it was hard to figure out whos order was whos without opening it up. Maybe writing the name and an abbreviation of the order on the cup could help?

0 stars for coffee and 4 stars for the service and ambient. They serve better coffee at the gas stations in Europe

I adore this cafe! I wish it were nearer to my home. I now exclusively get coffee from here. It is so cute and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly and seem to work very efficiently(coffee shops get busy). It has ample space and I love that they have informative coffee posters hung up around the shop too.

Excellent coffee and service. Impressed with the Covid pick-up system., Wish they had seats/tables outside for enjoyment.

They have a well planned and executed social distancing set up where you order at their door and pick up through the front window. The staff was friendly and the coffee is always delicious.
