One year I contracted Polar Bear, as well as others, to install a new air conditioner. Over the years that I have owned houses and have hired contractors to do work I Have had the best service from Polar Bear, above all others, They came when they said they would be here, they did what they said they would do, they did the work in a professional manner, all waste was removed from site there were no hidden cost. If you need an air-conditioner I highly recommend this company. call them as part of your search, through my experience I believe they will do right by you.

We recently had our Air ducts replaced. The crew was efficient and very respectful of my home. They covered my wood floors so they would not walk on them and even swept when they were done! I was very impressed. They also charged a very fair price. I will definitely use them again!

BIG thank you to Alex, Oleg, Elijah, Ruvim and all the crew at Polar Bear who helped us get our HVAC system replaced before the Labor Day weekend. They fit us in their busy schedule since the house was 90 degrees and very uncomfortable. The techs were AMAZING and got our ancient system out and a new one installed in one day! Alex, the owner, scheduled out Alex L. who came out within a few hours of us calling. The problem was a leaky A/C which was dripping water everywhere. Alex was very thorough, polite, and did a great job assessing the damage. Not only did he fix the problem, which was a backed up pipeline full of gunk, but he took the time and cleaned up the water that had been dripping from the A/C. He also was willing to answer any questions thoroughly. In the past six years they have helped out when we had problems at the other house. The past, another worker took the time to move the thermostat from the second floor to the first floor to accompany my needs.

We were very happy with our service today. Robby was very professional and had our AC unit up and running again with in 20 minutes! Prices are reasonable and we will refer you to anyone who needs AC work! Thank you again!

Woke up at 4am and the house was 80 degrees. Called a few minutes before 7, wss told what the problem was and that someone would be there between 9 and 11. Showed up at 10:45 and fixed the problem by 11:15. Very, very reasonably priced and our house is cool again. Thank you for such quick and awesome service. Highly recommend!!

When we first moved here we were simply ripped off by con artists that presented themselves as knowledgeable trades people. We finally were referred to Polar Bear and found them to be honest, knowledgeable and fair in their prices. Contrary to accepted practice they actually fix things as opposed to simply replacing the system. I trust these people, because they have an old school philosophy and craftsman standard!

I can’t say enough kind words about Polar Bear Cooling & Heating ! My husband and I live in Staten Island, NY. My husband’s sister, who is 75 years of age, just lost her husband a little over a month ago. She lives in Nokomis. Her air conditioning system has been giving her A LOT of trouble lately. We called another air conditioning company in the area first and they totally took advantage of her ! They told her there were a few things wrong with the air conditioner, that it couldn’t be fixed and he could only fix it temporarily. He proceeded to charge her $400. I wish we would have called Alex at Polar Bear BEFORE we called this other “shady” company !! My sister-in-law’s air conditioning went out completely ! Alex got there first thing the next morning but in the meantime, told her how to switch the thermostat so the house would stay cooler, longer. He checked the system out thoroughly and told us that it was only a switch that needed to be turned on ! Being that my sister-in-law is elderly and just lost her husband - he didn’t even charge her for coming out to her house to check for the problem !! Alex REALLY cares about his customers and is 100% honest and professional!! I highly recommend Alex and Polar Bear Air Conditioning & Heating !!
