I tried to place an order. They didnt have anything in stock that I wanted. They were supposed to order and call me. I didnt hear anything from them so I can give them a call to find out what was going on with my order. They didnt order it because they didnt like the material. I think they should have called me back to tell me.

Nice store. But very VERY rude staff. My aunt walked out when they were closing and the lady shook her head as she was walking out. Will never be back! Dont go here. There are other great stores in Venice to check out other than this one

One of my favorite shops and Mom made a new friend

I enjoy this store every year but if the lady at the check out doesn’t relax she will have a heart attack. I handed her a gift card. I said if there is not enough left on there I have more. You would have thought I handed them a bomb. She ask for help and he kept saying if it’s not enough on this card we will have to cancel it out. Ok?? I kept saying if not I can pay in 3 other ways. Luckily for her there was enough. But I thought she would have a mental breakdown. I wanted to say “folks, I just retired as a hospice nurse and you all need to get a grip”! Life is too short for what they were stressing over! I should have walked out but instead I got what I wanted.

Just walked out of this place. I saw some nice pieces that would have gone perfectly in my office. BUT we decided to walk out instead of purchasing because no one asked if we needed assistance. They just literally stood behind us and watched. Two employees did the same thing. That is the perfect way to make people walk out. It guess its because Im black? Who knows. They wont ever receive any of my money.

My opinion is that this store offers one of the nicest selection and variety on Venice Avenue; however, upon our last visit, the owner was extremely rude. She followed us around the store as we browsed, I suppose because we had our two small children with us (ages 6 and 8). Our children were not unattended - my son was with my mother-in-law and my husband and my daughter was with me. My son picked up a plastic display brownie and she immediately scolded him and told him to put it down. He quickly put it down and she continued to shadow them. Since I was walking around with my daughter, I was unaware of the incident, but wondered why there was a lady glaring at me with a very condiscending look a I checked out, as I walked out of the store and still as we stood out front. My mother-in-law told me of what happened, which obviously explained the glaring. I understand that many people these days let their children run amok. We are NOT one of those parents, so needless to say, I did not appreciate the experience. I returned my purchases the following day but unfortunately the owner was not there to speak with. Marcia, who handled my return was extremely friendly. There is not anything that Venice Stationers sells that is worth supporting poor behavior.

One of the best shops to visit...and buy on the island!Extremely happy with my purchases each time.Its a yearly April tradition with my girlfriends that we extend as often as possible thru the year.

Favorite Venice Ave shopping

I am giving one star only because of the merchandise I recently spent over 300.00 dollars in here and went to return a necklace that I can not wear. I was rudely treated. First by the cashier who interrupted me and sent me to the back. Then when I went to the back I was interrupted again and rudely told that they don’t return jewelry. I said I can understand why if it’s earrings since you wear them in your ears. She said it was their policy and someone should have told me at the sale. Which they didn’t. I was so put off by the way I was treated that I said I will never buy anything from that store again. And yes I do live here.

Im leaving a bad review for the way the workers acted around my family and i. They followed us as if to make sure we weren’t stealing. At one point i turn around and an employee was staring at my family and i, but quickly turned around and walked away. She had also been staring at me. And to make it clear NONE of them spoke to us AT ALL. It was a very uncomfortable experience and i even had to leave at one point because i was feeling really bad. I guess this is how they treat you when you’re Hispanic in this store! Very unfair. Hire better people that don’t racial profile.
