Best bagels in the area! I had a double toasted scooped everything bagel with salmon, cream cheese, onion, capers, and lettuce. Absolutely excellent! Next time I think Im going to ask them to put about half as much cream cheese as they usually do, but thats a personal preference not a complaint. The outside tables are very nice to sit at. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. Definitely five stars.

After moving to Florida from the northeast, I was expecting to miss quality bagels. With this place, I felt at home. The bagel sandwich and double chocolate muffin melted in my mouth.

Great bagel place! We loved it! I got the original bagel with cream cheese it was only $2.99 really great price! It was huge and I couldnt finish it at once. Also my husband got the bagel with salmon. Highly recommend that one its about $10 but its huge and they are very generous on the ingredients. Overall highly satisfied with this place and highly recommend it!

After moving to Vegas in 1992 from Jersey it was hard to find real bagels. The bagels out west were more like round baked bread with holes. I moved to Florida and checked out Cafe Bagel and it brought me back to the Jersey days. Perfect bagel and the lox spread was perfect. Staff were friendly also. This will be my go to Cafe for bagels!

After driving by and seeing this place it was a must stop next day! We both got the salmon everything bagel! It was delicious! But very filling! The tomatoes were a little thicker than expected! Had to eat one half and take the other to the beach, not complaining but suggesting maybe cut the amount of tomatoes per bagel? Because I ended up throwing like 2-3 of them away! I couldn’t care less, but the owner should think about the cost of that bagel? How much is costing him per bagel if employees cut the tomatoes thick!

Great location. Dog friendly porch. Very kind staff. Bagels just weren’t good, our jaws hurt after chewing them. The bacon and cheese was good though!

Cream cheese to the max and breakfast burrito was phenomenal

I have been frequenting this place through the various owners it had. The counter clerks are pleasant but frankly for a small shop, they could take their enthusiasm and greeting up a notch. Bagels and spreads are very good. Would hope there would be more consistency in those putting the (salmon) spread on the bagel. Previous to today, they put a glob on the bagel, with the spread flowing over the bagel. Today, it was all bagel taste as the amount of the spread put on the bagel was what one could describe as just a skim....which I discovered when I opened it up when I got home. Owners are always looking to ways to improve....hopefully this review will encourage the individuals putting on the spread to make it such that customers are eager to return another day. I will.

The food was good, the muffin was good and tasted freshly baked. The one thing that’s keeping it back was the customer service. I think it’s holding it back from a 4 - 5 stars. Overall good place to eat just needs room to improve.

My husband will go out of his way from north port just to be able to eat here.

Coming from a New Yorker that moved to Florida 3 months ago, I can say this tastes like home.

The bagels are great but dont like the payment method where you feel you are obligated to give a tip. I never tip on a to go order. I owned a restaurant and a fast food joint and have always felt this way.

The best bagels Ive found outside of New York, and reasonably priced too at about a dollar apiece. Many great flavours and friendly courteous service too.

Great bagels and spreads

Holy heck! These bagels are fantastic! Sarasota has absolutely terrible bagels, a fact I have just come to terms with. Ive accepted the fate of a bagel-less life, since a sub par bagel is simply not worth the calories. BUT, after fate intervened in the form of a new job in Englewood, I stopped at Cafe Bagel with very little confidence considering my citys bagel reputation. They have exceeded my expectations. The bagels are fresh, with a shiny exterior and a chewy interior. The staff is friendly and speedy. I have everything I could ever want!

This place is awesome, very staff friendly and service. The bagels are delicious as well as the food. It almost reminds me of being in New York city. I would definitely go there again and would highly recommend others to go.

Brooklyn Italian family owners...need I say more? Great Bagels and they even have Taylors Ham (pork roll)! Bada Bings Italian restaurant next door has the feel of an old Brooklyn Italian neighborhood. Love both these places! ❤

We used to live very close to this bagel shop and went here for breakfast almost every Saturday. Its good to stop by when were in the area, and see the quality amd service is still good. Serviced hot each time.

Great customer service but the bagels are not really bagels. They do not boil. Only bake.When i want a bagel, i dont want bread in the shape of a bagel. Glad i didnt order a dozen and tried them first.

Meh. Only game in town. Lox and bagel sandwich was over 12 dollars with tax and was doughy and chewy. Asked for toasted and it wasnt. Lox portion meager. Tomatoes were unevenly cut as were the onions. Three capers literally on two open faced portions.Ill go to Dets and get the bagels there.

My friend bought a breakfast bagel this morning for 7.50. All bread. Slither of ham, egg, and bell peppers. Scant cheese. Wont be back.

My daughter ordered an everything bagel with kielbasa and egg. She said it was super delicious and hot. The employees were patient as she ordered and super friendly. I highly recommend Cafe Bagel to anyone who loves delicious bagels.

Love this place it is just they always run out of salt bagels. Also they stopped making the orange muffins. Miss both. Drive all the way from Bradenton and out if salt bagels.

If day this is the best bagel you can get in Sarasota county. The regular and garden veg cream cheese are very good. I recommend calling ahead and place your order or get there when they first open because they seem to sell out quickly. Enjoy!

I ordered a Nova lox on a poppy bagel, a bialys, and a cinnamon raisin. We were very happy. The women working in the shop were very nice, working hard, and quickly as possible. ♥️((A very rude 40ish man was walking around the shop on his phone the entire 5 minutes we were there, pacing back and forth. He proceeded to yell at the women and threaten to call the health department because his food took too long. I’mIncluding this because he threatened that he would also leave a bad review. He was an angry little person that undoubtedly will go to the next place and behave just as ridiculous.))

Nice spot to have a quick bite to eat. Many flavors of fresh baked bagels to choose from. The bagel topped with lox, cream cheese, tomatoes and onions is an excellent choice and can be split between two people. A simple little diner with reasonable prices. Fast and friendly service. Open for breakfast and lunch, they close at 2pm. Bagel selection is a little limited if you get there too late.

Good place for real bagels. Variety is good. Not as extensive as you might find in NY/NJ. Good quality and great taste. Prices are good and they sell the day old bagels which are great for making bagel chips. Friendly staff. If the is a line it usually moves quickly. Open 7 days a week. Closes at 2pm so plan accordingly

I order from Cafe Bagel about once a week for my office of 35 people. They offer top notch customer service and delicious food! This is the kind of place where the staff greets you by name and always has a smile on their faces. It is a pleasure to work with the Cafe Bagel staff and I highly recommend them for individual and group orders. You will not be disappointed!

I regularly eat at Cafe Bagel, the food is phenomenal. The bagels are very similar to up north bagels and the staff is so awesome!

The bagels are big and fresh and the staff is friendly. So delicious!

A couple times a month I will pick up breakfast for the people I work with and we all enjoy Cafe Bagel . I like to place an order and pick up on way to work or even stop by if i make the time but more often the order is incorrect. No one wants to be that customer that complains about an order. 5 stars if was not a problem

Unfortunately, when in Florida, expect terrible bread and this includes bagels. Cafe bagel, though, is the best in the Venice area. What I truly miss being from the northeast, is a bagel with a crisp exterior and a soft interior. There is no crunch to anything in Florida, but pretzels. Cafe bagel gives a valiant try, hence the 4 stars. And the staff are really nice.

Good bagels, lots of options. But we only ordered three bagels and or order was wrong. Toasted, not toasted...really not something you expect to get wrong. Pretty basic stuff. *check your order before you leave.

I got the burrito, it was delicious. Tasted just like homemade. Large enough to be quite filling. Staff was friendly, definitely feels like a Ma and Pa place. Gotta try the bagels next time, there was just so many choices I couldnt decide and with so many cream cheese flavors too!

Before COVID we ate there almost every other weekend and a bagel or two throughout the week. I know its my choice but I am appalled that no one behind the counter/handling food wears a mask. I guess business is that good still to deter former customers not to come in and order.

The owners have created such a friendly atmosphere. Best bagels in the county and a yummy diverse menu. If you like bagels, this is your spot! If bagels are not your thing, youll enjoy the friendly staff and find something else on their large menu. Yummy everything.

Great food fast with friendly service. You order at the counter for dine in or take out. They have delivery too. The main reason that I get my sandwiches here is because they have a grill and cook your sausage, eggs, etc. fresh when you order. Bagels are made fresh daily too. Its delicious!

This cafe is what we need more of down here. I hope that they expand down to North Port. They have so many different varieties of bagles. It is hard to make a choice.The staff is always attentive, polite, and joyful. And they are pet friendly. You cant ask for anything more.

Bagels are very good. But seven dollars for a pork roll egg and cheese on a bagel, come on. Perhaps if the pork roll wasnt sliced as thin as a sheet of paper. Very disappointed.

Bagels are the best. However the last few weeks we went in at 10 am Sunday morning and they are about out of all bagels. Its not even high snow bird season and i was told to place an order the day before. Not cool cafe bagel.

I love their David’s Turkey sandwich! I ask for it without the “thousand island dressing” that describes the item on the menu and request mayonnaise on the side. It’s never a problem for them to make it the way I like it!

Stopped in just before noon. They were just about out of bagels, had a few left in 4 varieties. If you want bagels, get in early or call an order in the day before. Excellent bagels, typical pricing for freshly made bagels($13.50 for a bakers dozen I believe), and pleasant staff.

I will gladly order breakfast from here multiple times a week. They always have fast delivery, and fast service. I typically order the eggs with bacon and potatoes, followed by a salted bagel. It always hits the spot! Cafe Bagel is hard to beat for overall value and taste in Venice.

Best bagels south of Jersey! I love their veggie cream cheese. The chunks of veggies in it are huge! Unlike other bagel places I have tried in the area where I see them pop open a Philadelphia Vegetable Cream Cheese container!

Single bagel was 1.29 which is a good price but 2.99 for a single bagel with a added spoon full of cream cheese is outragious!
