Im feeling to understand how I visited one store in the plaza and face masks were required yet when I went into Safeway multiple customers no face mask and theyre in the checkout line so I wont be returning to this location anytime soon

This trip we were taking a mini getaway and ended up stopping at this Safeway because of convenience. Safeway is one of the grocery chains that still make sandwiches at the deli counter and so we not only bought our dinner for the evening but were able to order a few sandwiches for our lunch. The rolls were fresh and the sandwiches tasted great. We were also able to pick up some things for a wonderful dinner namely some tender steaks and lobster tail that were on sale along with some bacon wrapped stuffed poppers for appetizers. The staff was friendly and helpful making our experience stress free.

Kept very clean. Produce is great. Not a huge selection of meats but very good quality. Friendly service and easy checkout.

Safeway.. it always clean and fresh. The people who work there are always helpful and cheerful. My only drawback is the pricing. I dont understand why I can buy something at Safeway and then find the exact same product at half the cost?

Deals to be had if you take the time on the Website. Very clean and well maintained. Employees were very helpful.

Everything was good, except the 1, older lady cashier, that yelled at you, if you put repeat items, on the checkout belt.

Best Safeway Ive ever been to. Fresh food at the deli. Chicken wing bar, fresh sushi, and sandwiches. I dont know why, but Vacaville Safeway does it right.

Busy store. Fairly well stocked considering the busy 4th of July weekend. Checkout was fast.

Very disappointed in Safeway not letting me know they no longer have drivers. They use Door Dash they did not contact me and left my groceries on my porch in the hot sun. Door Dash never contacted me I was home all day.

Smaller version Safeway and easier to get in and out. Not alot of crowded lines.

I moved out to North Cali about 4 months ago & this has been my go to store for everything I need, it feels homey even tho there is no Safeway down south. I usually visit after 7pm & its very chill & slow so I can get in & get out. Place looks clean & so far staff has been very helpful & friendly every time Ive asked for help finding stuff here😁

Would like to give zero stars here, truly. Purchased a diner cake for my daughters birthday this past weekend. Hello Kitty was the theme and we requested two layers of filling with white cake, one strawberry and one cream cheese. The cake was decorated nicely, although the actual Hello Kitty was just a faded screen print on the top. This was literally the worst cake we have ever had. The cake itself was super dry and crumbly. And the filling was barely even visible, thats how little was there. I had much higher expectations for them. And this was a really big disappointment. Will never order a cake from them again.

We love shopping at Safeway. We save money when shopping and dont waste by buying bulk and having to throw out what is not used. My gas credits (Just for U rewards) I earn by shopping help when gas prices are soaring.

The food in this supermarket is very rich. It’s a bargain to have a discount every Friday. There is a doughnut combination on Friday for only 5 dollars, a large box of doughnuts of all flavors. Its great. There is a miniature Starbucks coffee shop here. very convenient.

This grocery store is clean and has lots of variety. also, come here to buy cheaper jelly beans than the jelly belly factory store.

Great store in terms of stock. However there’s an unusually angry vibe amongst a particular demographic of the morning staff (white, female). Makes it really uncomfortable to shop there. Unfortunately the target next door dosent open until 2h later.

In general, market is clean and well stocked but produce area not as well maintained as other Safeway stores in the area.

Self checkout is so slow. They could learn from Walmart in Suisun on how self checkout should be ran

Unprofessional and under-trianed staff didnt know where anything was and wasnt willing to help. I asked 5 DIFFERENT employees for help and none of them tried..

Produce manager keeps everything well stocked. Its always fresh. Presentation is very nice as well. Produce manager is extremely nice too!

Went to get baby formula and the store was closed even though their hours posted on the door said they were suppose to be open and when I called it stated they were open but the doors were locked a little over an hour early...

I ordered Vegetable Chow Mein. Only a five minute wait for my fresh made to order dish. I was pleasantly surprised on how good my Chow Mein tasted.

I like it besides there odd theft prevention. Paying for your achol and shampoo then continue shopping. Kinda weird but over all a nice huuuuuuuge safe way. Alsoooooo has the worst handicap ♿ parking. Old people dont expect to get one.

I picked up a few items and went to self-check. Three items were OK. A bottle of wine wasnt. The attendant said Oh, you have to go through a checkstand for the wine. WHY?

No baggers to help cashier. Waited 15min and 2nd person in line. Too long

Boars Head Deli falsely advertises a plethora of sandwiches on their site. None of which are available in person. A simple grilled cheese with melted cheddar isnt even achievable. No butter to butter the bread and they use American cheese because they have no cheddar? Seriously? Three sandwiches I had written down in case they were just out of a couple toppings for one or the other. None of them they could make properly. None of the breads they advertise for the sandwiches were available. 7.99 for all ingredients you can buy at Walmart. What extra am I paying for? The disappointment?

Good place to grab Starbucks coffee too.

Waited at self checkout for a meat coupon approval for 10 minutes, no joke, with 2 screaming kids. 😑

What time you go shopping is key to getting in/out quickly, I have no patience for long lines. I go before 5:00 and that seems to be working pretty well.

The store is a little cramped, especially in the checkout and guest services area. I just cant get over the smell near the front entrance! Dont breathe in until you are safely inside.. Its really that bad! Staff is friendly and helpful but ooo that smell!! Can you smell that smell? 😂

Barbara at the deli counter just served us at Vacaville outlets location. She is unbelievably hospitable, thoughtful, and sweet. In addition to making a mean vegetarian hoagie, she shared a lovely anecdote about life. We walked out of Safeway with a spring in our steps.

Friendly staff, clean store, and very helpful anytime I cant find anything. They also always have great deals from bakery to deli meat.

I love using Safeway’s app you get the best deals and they have great coupons. I almost always end up getting something free when I use the Safeway app! There is a cashier that tends to always be there when I shop I don’t know her name but her grandkids call her Zuma Zuma that’s what she told me and she is the most sweetest nicest lady I’ve ever met she has the best customer service ever it’s another reason why I go there and there’s this bagger I don’t know his name but he has a bald head and he wears glasses and always has a scarf around his face he’s very courteous and makes me feel welcome there he doesn’t ignore me it’s just something about him he has amazing customer service.

This is a fine store. Of those throughout the city I have found it not only to be the best kept at any hour of the day. I also found it to have the most helpful staff. In stead of the staff walking passed with heads down, they smile, say hello, and ask if they can help with anything. Now, they do not always have on hand the supply of, perhaps, the more popular items (frozen vegetables, specific bread, etc.), but I think they are working to improve that area.

When you go shopping the recommended time I suggest is to go in the morning or afternoon it really gets busy at peak hours like everywhere else. Pedestrian safety is not keen to the locals in the area where I witnessed 2 near misses due to drivers not paying attention to there surroundings. I always look at the general area and how much space is between parked cars and pedestrians not a lot of room.

Some people here are cool others not so much. The lines are always ridiculous never enough lanes open and the bathrooms are questionable. They get a lot of homeless people coming in to use the bathrooms and trash them, which is very unfortunate.

Love me some Safeway. Good service and fully stocked inventory. But sometimes sales price doesnt show on cash register or receipt. But everything else is good☺

I do love this store but they dont require their staff to wear masks, sure you can avoid the floral department but they are working with food in the deli with masks under the nose. Ewwww

This was my first time ordering a cake from here, and I must say I’m blown away! It was so good and perfect for celebrating my son’s birthday (just us). It was only 10.99! Usually cakes like these from bakers cost 30 or more bucks! These are also perfect for smash cakes. I will definitely be back for future birthdays and other celebrations 😊 *I made the cake topper

There was an EXTREMELY versatile and hard worker. The cashier called him Xavier. Xavier, as you can tell by his clothes, worked in the front end, I had seen him pushing carts outside when I got there. When I go back to the meat department, I see him back there as the only one taking orders. He was very informative and even told me the type of rub that was on my shrimp skewers. After he takes my order I shop around a little more. When I go up to the front to pay hes bagging our groceries!!!! He was quick to bag and greeted me and my husband as mam and sir. Xavier was a great help to us.

Fresh shrimp is the best, great salads like seafood Louie and Asian(check the dates better please employees) and I always find something new to try.

Lisa is one of my favorites she is so sweet I purposely go in her line very kind lady always helpful the deli theres two girls there that have attitude one is Pam I thought she was nice at first but she is very rude no stars for her if you know what i mean and same goes for the one with the short hair i spend a lot of money at Safeway and to be treated with no respect from the deli all the money I spend there the manager of the deli is really good but two of those girls are something else I have heard them be rude can someone just go talk to them geez I work with the public and I treat my customers with respect they keep me employed also all the checkers are really nice and the manager!

I love Safeway stores. Always! They are colorful, friendly, carts for handicapped (thats a big deal). The fruit an vegetable department must have a designer...whole area makes you feel hungry, all colors right places like a big pattern. The service is excellent. The employees reach for things higher up, find what you cant find....very helpful. Still love Safeway. Oh, when fresh Crabs are in...Safeway have the best. Always get my Crabs there not salty, just perfect. No work for me except cracking and eating. That part I do very well. Im a pro!

Safeway is a nice store for Vacaville. A lot of selection, good deli, excellent produce section, and a variety of organics. Well kept. Kind, helpful staff. My one complaint is that they are definitely on the pricey side. Easy parking. Nice flowers.

This review for the sandwich counter only. The two ladies were friendly and professional, lots of sandwich options with fresh ingredients, we were in and out with three tasty sandwiches quickly. Nicely done 😀👍
