Large portions mark the most notable aspect of the food in this combination entertainment center and restaurant. The cheese is highly processed, the sauces highly sweetened and the meat highly cooked (well done seems to be the only option). If youre looking to provide the kids a welcome break on the boring drive that is Highway 5, consider Bravo Farms. Otherwise...
I was happy when I saw on my map a farmers restaurant. I didnt want any fast food. What was my surprise that we got exactly that. The place is very cool. Worth of seeing not eating though. Caned fruit, Mcdonald kids burger, salad so so. 3 stars for my salmon, that was delish. You could hide my husband burger in a palm.
If you have kids, this place is the BEST! The food is fine (not bad!), low expectations if youre from Texas. But the amenities are AWESOME. This is one of the coolest playgrounds with tons of hidden slides and fun climbing! Outdoors has water misters for the heat, and tons of shady seating. Indoors is AC, carnival games, food and ice cream! We love it so much on our long drives!
Made a pit stop here since we were traveling from SF to LA. Ordered the brisket sandwich and St. Luis ribs and parmesan fries. Unfortunately, only the fries stood out. The ribs were almost falling off the bone, which is not how it should be. Because the wait was so long, it was not as hot. Dont know if the BBQ here were smoked from a smoker or if these were cooked from the oven. If you read this, then you had passed Harris Ranch, which makes the better bbq.
One of the best places to stop at if you going down to so cal. They have an amazing store, small museum, outstanding BBQ place. The kids cowboy area/ town they built is my kids favorite and we love to spend time there. Everything is clean and I always end up spending couple of hours there. They call them self The second happiest place on eath and I agree. Its just an amazing experience and I really recommend this place for sort of families. 5 stars 🌟.
You know you gotta stop in Kettleman City. Aint nowhere else to stop. Well these guys have got this little attraction and they pack a ton in. Food is about as good as you can hope for -- I recommend the salads.
This is a pretty great rest stop along a lonely highway. The food is surprisingly good! Lots of fun things to do for kids and adults. Make sure you try the fried cheese curds! There’s another bravo farms rest stop near Visalia. It’s similar to this one. They have an old Western theme. Lots to look at. Lots of arcade games and there’s even a petting zoo.
Fun and wonderful food. Great shopping stop on way to southern California.
Great stop for the family! Clean restrooms, plenty of parking, easy access and the service was quick. Food was delicious with large portions. We had the taco salad, bravo chicken tacos and fries. Everything was yummy and hot. Great place to walk around and have all your traveling needs met and get some energy out.
We went to the gift shop side and found really unique and wonderful things! Lots of fresh produce items.. dried fruits, nuts, etc. A small selection of wine and a cheese counter. What I didnt like was having to ask about expiration dates. They use a system that is only known to them until it is explained to you. I feel like not having a straight date of expiration, it sets customers up to potentially be duped with expired product.Staff was helpful with the exception of a guy who rang me up. I bought about 5 things and he wasnt going to bag my purchases. The lady before bought 3 small things and he offered her a bag. Weird. Maybe he thought I was hiding more arms in my shirt? LolThe restaurant side was weird. No true displayed menu and it didnt seem like a place to get actual food so we didnt.
The BBQ is good. Be prepared for a wait as they are usually busy. They have outdoor seating and misters for the heat, indoor seating too. Cute gift shop. I think its worth stopping as long as you are not in rush.
Great place to stop on the way to Disneyland. Bathrooms are clean and food is yummy. Fun little outdoor area for the kids to stretch their legs.
Usually, roadside pit stops like this are eclectic with average food at best. We were pleasantly surprised when we were met with a modern, clean eating area with quality barbeque. The tri tip sandwich was decent but maybe a little overcooked. It wasnt terribly tender but the flavor was good. It was made even better when we poured the fried cheese curd dipping sauce on the sandwich. The cheese curds were very good, and the portion was fair for the price. Lastly, the pulled pork sandwich was great. Flavorful and tender meat. The full-sized sandwich was huge, definitely worth considering sharing. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stop at if youre taking a long family drive along the I-5.
Very nice and clean go place to get gifts
I was so excited to try the BBQ here on our road trip. Sorry to say I had to ask for a refunded. We ordered the sampler. Came with a chicken thigh and leg, pork ribs and two sides. The chicken was so raw. Was pink and bleeding. The pork ribs were not throughly cooked. The baked beans tasted like chili beans. Not good. Coleslaw tasted a bit nasty. When I let them know about it the young girl tried to tell me that it wasnt raw. That its like that from cooking it in the slow cooker. Not this chicken wasnt juicy. Its bleeding. They said they refunded me my money back to my card. Still no refund. That was Last week. The food cost way to much for the way it tasted.
Always a favorite stop, especially with kids. Great selection of toys and books for traveling with kids, ice cream counter, espresso bar, delicious BBQ restaurant, free outdoor play area. You couldnt ask for more.
Great little place to stop along the highway. They have an outdoor area for kids to run around and play. Food was good and reasonably priced. It wasnt too busy but took one star off because we didnt see anyone cleaning tables.
Got a brisket sandwich that tasted like it was cooked over a bonfire, no flavor, bbq sauce tastes like ketup. Also got ribs that where bearly warm, had same flavor as brisket. Was not impressed. Waste of money! Thru it away!On the other hand, soda did not disappoint!😒
This is the best stop between the Bay Area and LA. Weve been here at least half a dozen times, it is a very pleasant place to break, especially if you have kids who will have fun on the play structures. (Be sure to grab some Chipotle Cheddar cheese from the dairy area, it is AMAZING)
Great place to stop off with kids! An old western town to explore and yummy food
Great stop for kids and all. Ice cream, clean restrooms and large play areas for kids and dogs
Quaint place. kids love it. family fun. hood food.
We were visiting from Fresno. About an hour drive there. We actually came back here, because a couple of weeks before that we saw this place on our way back from Pismo Beach, we stopped to look at the gift shop to check it out, and decided when we had more money we would come back to buy things from the gift shop and eat there. Glad we decided to make the trip back. We found plenty at the gift shop, and the restaurant is really good. Big servings too, I had to bring mine home!! But delicious food.
Excellent place to stop and enjoy a really good lunch. Lots of stuff for kids also.
This place is amazing if you’re on a road trip down the Central Valley with kids. They have a little Wild West town for them to explore and a good little bbq place to eat at while they stretch their legs. They also have a wine shop, candy section, produce section, toys, ice cream, and more. It’s an oasis for family road trips. Check it out!
Bravo Farms is a place you have to stop by. The cheese is incredible. Here you can pick up food, drinks, a bbq lunch and anything else you can think of. You can not leave here without taking home a block of cheese!!
For my taste its not too tasty. The tri tip was dry and nothing special. The brisket was plain and lacked flavor. The building is huge and looks like a wild west museum. Nice little western town on the side .
Nice place with a shop and BBQ to order. Great place to stop and eat and just look around at the many different things they have for sale.
Pretty cool place, with neat things to buy. The workers arent so friendly and the food takes a while, but I just figure theyre tired lol
This place is just so cool. From the shopping with a slice of giant sequoia that show pins dated back before Jesus. To the great Barbq and their great ice cream. We always stop here when driving to Pismo/Avila
Love this place, do not miss it. Great food and nice super market
Odd roadside attraction that made a good pit stop between San Francisco and Los Angeles. The food was not great, but it could have been worse and was reasonably priced. The beer selection was surprisingly good.Best thing was the outdoor area with misters that the kids could run around and stretch their legs. If youve got kids with you on a long road trip, this is a good place to take a break.
My only fun stop when I have to go to LA. Great food, dried fruits, nuts, coffee, ice cream, whats not to like?
Good food and lots to choose from .Dried nuts to stuffed olives to jarred jalapeno garlic. A must stop place .
I got a root beer float here, it was awful. They used warm root beer and the ice cream was warm. They had a special sign for it so I figured it would be great but not so. Save the calories and try something else.
Food was pretty good, for roadtrip food. Bug portions. They have a great patio area that is pet and kid friendly.
Cutest place to stop and check out in the oddest place, Kettleman City. You can take a tour outside and look at old buildings, shop for just about any souvenir, candy, good food, vintage items are for sale as well
Ive been through Ketlemens plenty of times and hadnt tried the Bravo before. I feel like Ive been missing out. The BBQ was pretty decent. The outdoor kids play area was awesome. There are picnic tables with lots of space to eat and the entire area is surrounded with a faux old west town. The kids run around and play on all sorts of little store fronts while you drink a beer and eat bbq. Its genius. Not the quickest stop, but a great way to let the kids stretch their legs and run around for lunch on the way up/down the state.
Love to stop at this place for a break on a way to or from LA. It has a so-so place for food, but nice little shop, and a real town for kids to play, and also some old game automats.
Usually our stop on the way to the coast. Great place to stock up on snacks and drinks.
Great place to eat and rest.
Service was slow and discombobulated. It was difficult to hear when your order was ready. Everything else was fun.
Food was yummy. Gift shop was cool.
U love Bravo Farms. So much to look ar
Had the pulled pork sandwich. Not bad. I cant wait to go again so I can try something else.
Too many flies, inside the Building hardly can enjoy the meals, wish they could take away the flies because it touches the food.
BBQ chicken was very moist and tender the ribs fell off the bone...yes it was great..the salad were excellent yes a 5 star from me...
Love it at both Bravo Farms...Kettlemans is great for the grandkids.... they had such a blast.... the shop is so cool... ice cream excellent.... lunch was A LOT of food and excellent...we are lucky, its only a 30 minute drive for us.
Beautiful cow with lump on head. 5 STARS!
Welcome road stop for food, shopping, bathroom and leg stretch. Love the ice cream.
Cool spot to stop by if you are driving I5 to walk around or buy some staff
Our salads came a bit slow but the build your own option and reasonably broad menu was nice for a travel stop. Prices were not cheap but reasonable.
An Amazing place a must see and stop over the food is great they have Vine testing kids playground kids toys and games Ice cream coffee shop and the best Smoked meet around
Very cute family friendly bbq joint with perfect serving sizes and amazingly done meat!
Great family friendly place. Good food at a good price. Have a beer and watch the kids run around before getting back in the car to hear, “Are we there yet?!?!”
Nice bbq before go to LA
👍👍 location Awesome food Ill never drive by without stopping again..
Nice and clean and have a dog area for your babies good food too
This is where you want to stop. The food is well done and the old west style town is GREAT for kids
This place is an amazing refuge from the monotonous drive up or down the 5. Whether a quick stop or a chance to stretch your legs. The BBQ food is great with great ambience and incredible gift shop. Highly recommend stopping in. We will be back every time we drive thru. Socially distant, but you can actually find a place to eat privately with out having to eat in your car.
Food delicious as always. Kids lo e the ice cream. Restroom was disgusting.
Pretty disappointed the food was good came out fast. We went on administration professional day. We sat out side there were 10 in our group. 1 ticket it was around $300.00 while waiting for everyone to arrive an employee was ask if we could move tables together she said of corse. After we ordered went back out our tables had been moved we moved it back a very young girl came out stated we cannot do that we advised another employee had given us permission. This employee went out of her way to ruin our special day out of the office she moved a large trash dumpster beside us as we ate she stacked unstacked a variety of chairs over and over bumping us there was another long table with seating but it was in the sun she came up to us 3 times telling us we are not not allowed to make 1 table anymore but would not let it go. She could have just let us enjoy a nice lunch weve came every year for 5 years. We wont come next year.
Service was good, the restraunt was clean. We had the tri tip and briskit sandwiches, they we just ok.
We stop by here on our way to Bay Area for restroom break, coffee, and Ice cream. Playground is perfect for the kids to run around.
Owner, what happened? Time to go put yourself in the customers shoes and walk your entire property experience. Create your daily checklist for one person to walk 2x a day. Cleanliness, cashiers, food consistency, repairs, also all your arcade games are broken .
Great littlehidden place. It is a tourist stop so a little on the pricey side.
Flies were horrible!!!! So bad I doubt I’ll ever stop there again.
Great place to go and eat visit for kids and antiques all over.
Was ok food but was quick and nice there
Great souvenir shop and fun stuff to see.
We always stop for the burnt ends burrito. Its delicious
Bravo Farms is such a food osasis from the other fast food places on Highway 5. Does it cost a little more than your average fast food meal deal? Yes, but the quality of their food is far better than any fast food you can get. Its worth the sightly added cost for sure.
Coolest place ever! Lots to do
Great place to stop before going to the coast👌
Good place to stop and take a break from driving.
Food is great! Nice large area for the kids to run around and have fun!
Delicious salad and steak sandwich.
On vacation from IL. They messed up 2 out of 5 orders. Order their loaded burger with no cheese and received a burger with nothing on it. With all the stuff going on, maybe the order taker couldnt hear well. Traffic is horrible.
Very cute place to stop to stretch your legs!
Nom nom very tasty my family and i love it when we sat down all day in the car you are missing out if you are thinking of going to McDonald’s they have such great wings and the grilled cheese is gigantic and bomb the bathrooms are very sanitary I wish my restroom was this clean
Pretty good! I recommend the ribs and chicken!
Good salads here.
Great place for doc Bernstein ice cream
