This has always been a great sporting goods store. Good selection, Low prices, and cool employees. A good store to go buy your kids cleats during sports season!

I bought dozens of shoes at Big 5 between locations in Washoe and Tulare counties for 30 years. They had been my preffered location when looking for shoes. But when an Employee in December of 2019 wanted me to leave my small therapeutic service dog outside in the cold that evening instead of leashed and secured within my personal shoppers basket I took that as a clear sign that my business would not be necessary In the future. I am glad many other locations in Tulare do sell similar items and employ friendly employees because i dont buy shoes, amongst many other items online.

I went there and was about to put my mask got in and the latin lady told me: you should wear a mask ( is she blind). I said in spanish if you wait for me to put it on and pit it on. She got mad and said if you dont wear it you should leave. Long day work to be bothered by this kind of people.There was a white guy with no masj inside. Bought a pair of baseball pants from this place. Price was a sale price at 8.09. I had a coupon for 10% off sale price item. I was charged full price at 10 dollars then given the 10% which brought the pants down to, yeah you guessed it 8.09. Coupon Also was 20% for a regular price item but was only given 10%. Sooo there was never a coupon applied!!!!!! Wish I would have paid more attention before leaving. Was trying to do Employees a favor by not staying past closing

Let me tell you I have never experienced such great customer service as I did shopping at this Big 5 store #292 in Tulare, CA! The manager Abraham and his staff were absolutely wonderful in assisting my mother and I with a fairly difficult purchase. I havent been to a Big 5 in years but I will 100% be shopping there from now on for all my camping, outdoor and sporting needs! Who needs Walmart when youve got Big 5!!

I tell the cashier at the store on prosperity in Tulare ca which gun I need ammo for. Well turns out he gave me the wrong ammo and I go back into the store 5 mins later and tell them and all they have to say is no returns or exchanges! Cant even man up and say you made a mistake and fix it. Will never buy anything that has to do with firearms from them again!!!
