Ive had great experiences with this shop. Jotrisha was able to set me up with a used single speed at the beginning of January, and Ive been riding 4-5 days a week without issue ever since. That is, until my rear wheel was stolen last night, but I took it into the shop this morning and Jotrisha was able to get me set up with a replacement in just a couple hours so Ill be able to ride this afternoon! Super reasonable pricing too.

This has been my go-to bike shop for years. Staff here are laid back and unpretentious. Theyve always done a great job servicing my bike for a great price. They rented my in laws bikes when they were visiting tucson and they usually have a pretty decent selection of cheap used bikes for sale. I reccomend patronizing this business instead of the shop around the corner.

So grateful to have found RC Bicycles! I was told by several other area shops that my vintage road bike wasnt worth fixing. Jotrisha was not only willing to take on the challenge, but actually excited about the project! She did a fantastic job with my repairs and everyone was so friendly. Definitely my go to shop from now on.

At the start of the pandemic I took my bike in to have it repaired and it was stolen from the shop. They called me in, had me pay the repair fee, and then proceeded to tell me my bike was stolen. They told me things like this happen in Tucson and I should just learn to live with it. The owner has lied and lied telling me they would replace it with another bike, but it has been almost a year and he has become unresponsive. I never even received a refund for the repairs either. I couldnt have imagined a local business would act this way and Im having a hard time believing they arent just bad people who are hoping Ill go away and forget about it. Never take your bike in here for repairs, you will absolutely regret it.

The worst experience ever. We were sold a $200 bike (at the time we didnt realize the bike was worth $100 at the most), and it IMMEDIATELY broke apart. The rear wheel snapped and left me stranded on the side of the road. Upon telling RC Bicycles about this we were told hmm I actually dont remember selling you any bike. the best we could do is maybe offer a discount on a new wheel. Are you kidding me?! This bike was clearly seconds away from breaking and should have never been sold to anyone in its condition. And that tweaker woman at the cash register has no recollection of selling the bike?! They will receive no more money from us. Such a scumbag business model.

Paid for tubeless setup on my bike. Picked the bike and realized on the ride that my brand new directional tire was put and sealed backwards. This is a big no for directional maxxis tires. I brought it back to the shop and apparently mechanic knew they put it wrong but decided not to tell me because its not a big deal and I wont notice. They refused to put the tire correctly despite the mistake because we run out of sealant. Keep coming in for the service refund and they refuse giving back $20 because we dont have any cash . What a place... Stay away.

I have had a very positive experience at RC Bicycles. After looking around town some for a bike, I visited RC Bicycles. The salesman Rocky was very friendly, honest, and easy to communicate with. I bought a hybrid bike that was the right size for me at a fair price. Rocky also sold me some locks and lights when I bought my bike that have worked really well. I have taken my bike back to the store a couple of times when I needed repairs, and the mechanics have been honest and not overcharged me. Rocky has also greeted me and been conscientious when I have visited the store. Overall, I would definitely recommend shopping at RC Bicycles. Im glad to support a locally owned business as well.

Great, down to earth employees. Ive had work done here at least ten times and recommend them over any other shop in Tucson. Several times Ive had a service done and they have waived the fee and said just come back next time.These guys are excellent, highly recommend by an avid cyclist.

Much like the person below me, I used to go to the shop regularly. I didnt mind the higher prices because the service was good. But I went in to buy a bike tube to fix my flat, and where usually they would put the tube free if charge they wanted to charge an unreasonable service fee for a tube change. I used to be able to use their spare tire levers to do it myself but I walk told I had to pay for a set of levers. Ive gone here consistently over the years to do all of my business there. From now on I will never go here and not recommend it at all.

I’ve been intermittently going to this shop for over a year since it’s conveniently located. The last few times I’ve been in have been particularly frustrating though—shoddy repairs, rude mansplaining, and inconsistent pricing on parts and services. The most recent saga revolves around my front tire. The tube that they sold me was way too big for the tire, so when I inevitably needed to patch it, it wouldn’t go back inside the tire without folding in on itself. An obvious source of constant flats... On top of that, the tire frame that they sold me has a defect in it, the sharp edge of which kept puncturing my tube. When I brought in my bike to explain my frustration and to get some assistance, I was offered a new tube and another lecture on how Tucson roads are bad, especially after monsoons (yeah, duh) and that youre bound to get flats around here. Im not new to Tucson roads. Yeah the roads suck, but it also sucks to have faulty equipment. Won’t be going back.

The fellas at RC Bicycles really help people out! From their quality workmanship to their FAIR pricing. This isnt a fancy, boujee place where you WILL get price gouged. It has a warehouse feel to it where you will save money and leave happy!

Welp, theyve done it again. When I was in last they sold me a bunch of mismatched parts that dont belong together. Its no wonder Ive consistently run into issues! I feel very thankful for the kind and generous folks at BICAS who helped fix RCs mistakes at a fraction of the cost.

Very helpful mechanics & courteous owner!! after REI & the bike shop next door to here told me they couldn’t / wouldn’t true my bicycle wheel I thought i’d walk over and give these guys a shot, and i’m glad I did!! they had my fixed up in 20 minutes although they were already working on other bikes and I just walked in! I did a checkup with them. They made pay me more than what is says in the website (the young salesman charged me $35 instead of $25), so either the salesman lied or the website lied.Furthermore, when Ive got there for a normal checkup, the salesman told me that I needed to change the chain and the breaks, which was false since, at the end of my normal checkup, the guy who actually made the work, didnt mention anything about that.The worker are honest, the new salesman (the one with a rogue squadron tattoo) is not trustworthy.I made all my checkups there since Ive got to Tucson. But today they lost a client.

Went in to buy my wife a used bike and came out with a new one for myself and her. Awesome prices , very helpful staff with great advice. Highly reccomend this shop to any biker.

It is a small bike shop. The service was a little under bearing until I showed interest in actually buying a bike from them. From that moment forward I was treated very well and got a great discount on a bike I was looking for. The owner made sure to shake my hand and thank me for the purchase. I would suggest this place for anyone who is looking to get a new bike or accessory, but not to browse.

I cant say enough good about RC Bikes. They worked on my 12-year-old sons recently inherited 40 year old bike and did a GREAT job tuning it up, plus they did only the service that was really needed. Its good to find a bike shop you can really trust.

Im not gonna lie I was a bit sceptical when I arrived at RC Bicyles. Used bikes stacked outside and a wierd house that says, open. But when I entered the atmosphere changed all the employees were really friendly and they showed me the best deals for a broke college student like myself. After going to 3 other bike shops that day the vibes they showed were like no other. Others didnt care about my lack of money and just said empty, meaningless welcomes. RC Bicycles did the absolute most and beyond with not only trying to give me the best deals but giving me greater deals than what they advertised. Also, with no other transportation at the moment I had no choice but to call a Lyft. Thankfully I asked around to see if they can deliver the bike and not only did that but they also gave me a ride! Thank you RC Bicycles I will always recommend people to your shop from now on!

RC Bicycles are the best bike shop in Tucson, AZ! I say this because ever since my 1st interaction with this shop, I have been treated with excellent customer care and you can really tell that not only does RC Bicycles care about and appreciate all customers, but they go out of their way to give a great experience and service. I was completely impressed with this Bike Shop. They have all kinds of services, I had some repairs done with a tune-up and they fixed up my bike the same day, it was great! This is a family business that has been there for over 30 years so they are really invested in the community. They sell bikes, repair them, and you can store your bike at their shop when you leave town and you do not want to risk it being stolen. This is especially good for college students during summer or holiday breaks. All in all I would recommend going to RC Bicycles for any and all bike needs.

I have always loved this bike shop and it was the only one I recommended to people in Tucson. Just went in for the first time in a little while and was expecting the usual great customer service. Unfortunately there did not seem to be consensus on the price of simple air refill and slime in my tires which I have been hooked up with several times in the past. Instead of the $5 I thought it would be it was $5 per tire which I was only told after he had done it. Could have a bought a tube at Walmart for less than that. Had to talk my way out of paying a $25 service charge which is ridiculous when I didnt need anything taken apart. Not used to having to barter my way out of anything at this place, I have always been treated so generously. Would no longer recommend.

I know next to nothing about bikes but I really needed one before the semester started to get to and from class and work. I went here because it was close to campus the people were very friendly and helped me pick out a bike- I chose the cheapest bike there around $95, cause Im on a super strict budget. When I got home my roommate saw my bike and couldnt believe that they let me pay that much. Honestly its worth maybe $30. Within the first week both of the tires were flat and when I tried to contact them about it (multiple times) I never received any response. I dont have a way to take the bike back and I cant ride it so Ive been walking to school and the bike has been sitting in my backyard for weeks. Total waste of money.

I have bought a used bike, gotten repairs, and shopped for a new bike at RC bicycles. Every time I receive respect, patience, and good old fashioned customer service. They never try to upsell me, and they dont look down on me for my lack of bike knowledge. They seem to care about bicycles and bicycle customers. I love them.

It is often considered the discount bike shop hidden behind Fairwheels. However, it is actually overpriced with a poor selection. The staff can be somewhat annoying, yet are knowledgeable. For a bike around campus, its fine. For anything more serious, take your business elsewhere.

I met the Raul at a cycling safety seminar in the early spring, and when I came into his shop in the late summer, he remembered me and even a little of my circumstances. Friendliness is in short supply these days, so thats a nice touch. Some of the businesses in Tucson...I swear they dont want your money.Hey, Ive bought nicer bikes for lower prices, but not in the city of Bear Down! Wildcats!, AZ. I get it: some people think bikes are art, or theyre huge bike hobbyists, or their bikes dont see the abuse of everyday life; but for the rest of us, its a tube with wheels that gets us from here to there, and we dont want to pay $600, $800...$2000 for it! RC Bikes has probably the best prices in town for such cyclists, and theyre willing to do fixing-ups to get you rolling again. Not a huge selection _in store_, but they definitely have the basics to get you started on the cheap (dont be obtuse and say you can find it cheaper on A__zon!) and they can order it in if they dont have it on the sales floor. When you get tired of telling bicycle salesmen that youre not a professional Tour de France-er and you just want a beater to get around town, and they point at some bike and say, But this ones only $500! youll probably end up at RC. Theyve done right by me, even gone out of their way for it.

I spent part if my vacation and Tucson and as Im to young to rent a car and wanted to visit the PASM I had to have a bike.Went there and got one. Not cheap but no choice.First strange thing was that the guy copied my whole credit card info CVC inclusive.Then the bike broke down three times in the first three daysNo big deal fixed it myself.But then I went to the PASM which is a good deal outside Tucson in the desert. Half a mile before I got there the rear tire blew.I was strandedCalled them and asked for helpThe guy just said they dont do pickups and that was it. Nothing moreIn the end I had to get a XL Lyft back into town which cost me 20$ and had to push the bike back to the shop (3.5 mi)All in all I had to push that stupid bike for almost 7 miles because it broke down so often. Youd think you cant do anything wrong with a bike but wrong...Simply never again. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else!

I bought a used mountain bike from the shop. Friendly salesman. Immediately had a flat tube which exposed the cracked tires. He offered a discount on a new tube, but no discount on labor for the repair. As someone who has rarely owned bicycles, I find it a disservice to still be spending money and time repairing a bicycle I just purchased in order to get it functional.
