Absolutely fantastic! The art was fun and unique. We had a dirty chi and a drink that was chi latte, marshmallow and chocolate. ( Cant remember the name of it it. It was the Beach Something). Anyways..... The drinks were delicious! We also got a coffee mug, a Stay Weird flag, and a couple stickers. The service was absolutely amazing! Friendly and knowledgeable.Next time Im in the area, I will be back

So far a friend and I have went twice in the morning to purchase breakfast. I always get a bacon egg and cheese on a roll with a orange juice the first time and a afternoon delight drink the second visit. The staff was great and I will be back. Worth every penny for breakfast. Great atmosphere

A truly REVOLUTIONARY Cafe! It has everything you can want from a Anarcho-Communist/anti-establishment themed style lounge and bakery! It has photos, painting, t-shirts, coffee mugs, posters and all sorts of merchandise/memorabilia of all former and current revolutionary movements, from Fidel Castros Cuba to the USSR! The wall is covered with artwork of various topics, including staples of American independent counter-culture, like JD Salinger, Jay and Silent Bob, Jackson Pollack and Bob Marley! It even has a book section where you can lounge on a chair and read Progressive-inspired books, or play a game of chess with their chess set! Truly unique in theme, decor and menu options! The coffee is also excellent for a small cafe located in a mini-mall (the lattes came in a HUGE mug!), as well as the food and baked goods, which are all named after revolutionary tropes and figures! The staff was friendly and provided good service, and the frittata was excellent! A rarity amongst cafes, perfect for hipsters, activists and any other left-leaning lovers! Be sure to stop by for a visit, it really is quite something of an experience!

The coffee at this place is beyond meausure. Vegan food is off the charts phenomenal. And holy f#* the vegan baked goods in this store -- you WILL not find anywhere else. I actually went on a daily fix for about a week at one point. I had a batch of the oatmeal cream pie cookies baked up for a party and people were legitimately fighting over them. You have to get to this place.

The new location lost a lot of the originals charm. What felt like an NYC Village cozy haunt now feels open and ... rectangular? But the good news is that the coffee and food are still amazing! Like, the French Toast is to die for. And there are still nice touches to the decor, such as Darth Vader staring at me from the place holder.

Im not vegan/ vegetarian but it wouldnt be a huge shift for me to be... I just had the absolute best Vegan meal of my entire life. The Revolutionary in Toms River is in such a terrible location I fear it wont survive but damn this food is amazing! Coffee is great here too. Definitely coming back!!! Music was good, the service was great, the walls had cool stuff to look at, parking was good, plenty of options for the meat-eaters too. And Clean! Note* Im VERY selective about what businesses I give 5 stars. I think in the 3 years Ive done these reviews this might only be the second one Ive ever given...I had the Anarchy burger and the Jersey coffee. My daughter had the Chicken sandwich and the Irish cream coffee. Both our second favorite coffee was the Underground.

They are one of the few places in the area that sell baked goods that are both vegan and gluten free. The selection varies. They have traditional baked goods as well. Im happy they moved to this side of town.

On our first day of vacation, we found this awesome cafe. The vibe was so welcoming, fun and casual! We were actually entertained with the decor, so much that we stayed longer than our usual lunch time. Loved the cafe!As a family of four, we ordered a Point Break, Teriyaki Tofu Wrap, Breaded Eggplant Wrap and Sweet Chilli Tempeh Bowl. Kids were okay with the food, however we as parents loved it a lot. The serving size was big enough to serve as extra portions for dinner. I also had a small cappuccino. It was great, I would come back just for the cappuccino!

We were there for a book signing and decided to have a bite too. They were short staffed and the server a bit disheveled. Its a relaxed eclectic atmosphere so we werent upset. The place is extremely chill; a great place to have coffee and get homework done. Food was yummy. I had the turkey bacon on fotachia bread ..lots and lots of bacon. Hubby said he had the best borito ever. Id love to sit out back in the summer too!

Service can be a little slow bc of the few people working there but the food is worth the wait! All the vegan options available were amazing and tasted great! So happy to find this gem

They have the best coffee and their cafe is totally instagram-worthy. I wish I took pictures while I was there😩. Anyways, it’s so nice. There’s even a nice trail out back behind the shopping center where you can walk through the woods and along the creek. My friend and I got coffee and sat outside chatting for a while, then walked through the trail in the back which goes along a river people regularly kayak.

Excellent, relaxed, convenient Café with bangin coffee options that actually taste good and exciting healthy food options anyone can enjoy. Indie/alternative music always in the background, but not too loud that you cant hear anyone.Im eating 100% plant-based, so this is one of my go-to spots now. The avocado toast was surprisingly savory and filling. My favorite coffee right now is the Burning Monk.My only complaint is that non-dairy options cost more than cow milk, which doesnt make sense since vegan milk costs less at local grocery stores. I also wish non-dairy whipped cream was available, just like it is at numerous local grocery stores.

Staff was polite but very inexperienced, had a problem with my meal and staff on hand did not know how to handle the problem in a professional manner. Drinks are very good though and with a better staff could be a 4 or 5 star rater.

The food was made fresh and was very good. I had the fall soup of the day, it was very good. Healthy and good for you. Not loaded with a ton of salt and oil like most places do. Their food has the flavor. The hummus of the week was lemon dill, it was sooo good. First time coming, we were passing through and I search vegan. Also needed gluten free. They had plenty of options. Love the character it has (paintings/art and seating) and the fact that it is a small business. The coffee was good too but the bakery items...To.die.for! I am vegan and gluten free, the cupcakes were the best I ever had! We had the snickerdoodle cupcake and mocha cupcake. My family loved both. You cant even tell its vegan and gluten free. We will definitely make a point to come back.

I wanted to love this place and give it 5 stars! They had the cutest mugs and stickers for sale along with shirts and cards, cool candles. There was a huge selection of different coffees. I wanted to order a sandwich but was told it would be a half hour wait, I had to go to get my grocery shopping on, so I couldnt wait that long for an pork roll, egg and cheese. I got a sad, cold vegan muffin instead. It was decent dunked in my cappuccino though. The nice cashier offered me a free coffee for the future, which was a good gesture. My cappuccino was pretty great with the exception of my own heavy hand pouring on the cinnamon but again, my fault. My issue was that there was some commotion with another customers order and the friendly girl at the front went to the back to speak to the cook about it and he proceeded to yell at her. Apparently he was the only chef there but that doesnt excuse his behavior. I and the other clientele shouldnt be hearing him yelling at a coworker from the depths of the kitchen, its unprofessional. Its sunday, its usually one of the busiest days for breakfast/lunch in my experience... get it together.

I had to use the bathroom before any purchase could be made. Upon completion of my business I quickly realize the toilet was not in any functioning order. Using a small trash can as a bucket I was able to fill the resevoir of the toilet and complete the flush. If only a sign was on the door giving me forewarning. To make matters worse the problem was recognized by staff earlier that day and not even a sign could be posted on the door. I was literally caught with my pants down. They bent me over a barrel. But the food is great as is the coffee so I would highly recommend!

Its always a challenge to find a place that I like to eat and then my mom we have such different tastes but here we find each what we like, she likes meat and I dont. Theres a large selection of vegan or vegetarian items for me as well as meat selections for her. Its also a very cozy and no rush you can relax and enjoy your time there.

This is the best coffee in Toms River. Its got great and friendly service. Its got a cool vibe and they sell some pretty awesome mugs and stickers. Also, their breakfast sandwiches are outstanding. Try The Devito!

VEGAN FRIENDLY!!! The desserts are vegan, and the menu can be 90% vegan if you ask for items without the cheese, as I did with the black bean burger. Its funny, really. Im not a vegan, and yet I love their non-meat offerings (especially their Hummus of the Week, which is about the freshest-tasting hummus Ive ever enjoyed). I work in a business just a few doors down the road, and Id much rather give my money to a local establishment such as theirs. The employees are friendly; the prices, fair. Definitely a great spot for take-out, or to just relax.

Great place to grab a quick bite. Friendly staff, great food, and extensive drink menu. My only recommendation is to better regulate the temperature of your hot beverages. My husbands black coffee was fine, but my Vanilla Chai Latte was luke warm- same for my MILs mocha latte.

I wanted to love this place but Im horribly offended by how we were treated. We walked in at 5:20, they finally brought our food out at 6pm (when they closed). We were the only ones there. We were given our food in to-go containers even though we told them we wanted to eat there. But they gave it to us in containers anyway and said now theyre closed and we had to leave. We were told a manager said we cannot stay to eat our food and we had to leave immediately. Ive never been treated like that in my life by an establishment. Disgusting.

Love this place so much! The staff is very friendly, they have a great selection of local art, and the coffee is revolutionary :-) Not to mention their falafel and hummus is the best I have had in a while.

This coffee shop takes their craft to a new level, one you just dont get at the corporate coffee chains. The coffee itself is bold and rich, and the various flavored offerings are as original as their namesakes. It has become a favorite spot of mine and I love having an amazing drink as I sit and get some work done on my laptop. I can NOT recommend this place enough!

Really enjoyed my visit here the food was grand and the portions matched the service was friendly and prompt. The environment was in a good way what is to be expected in a locally owned coffee shop I really liked all the local artists display on the walls and the tables were great conversation starters. This is the finest coffee shop I have ever visited. Honestly. Its all a matter of taste of course but I am very picky with food and a vegetarian and they accommodate beautifully with multiple options that are actually appealing. Staff is always friendly and familiar.The only reason Im giving it 4 instead of 5 stars, is because they have changed their hours to essentially March bankers hours aside from Friday evenings. This essentially makes the establishment non-vaccinating for me, as I work a full time job. I do not understand how a coffeeshop opens at 9am and closes at 5pm.

The artwork on the walls was amazing and the merchandise for sale was varied and unique. If you are a hipster, care about local food, or enjoy good art I think youll like this place. Bonus points if you dig all the psuedopolitical statements on the walls and the clothing

This is my favorite place to eat EVER... and I lived in Philly for most of my life. The food is superb, the service is unbelievable (seriously, everyones hilarious and friendly and attentive), and the coffee is a gift from God. My boyfriend and I went on our first date here, spent 6 hours at the table out front talking and drinking, and we still go there at least once a month. The Rev is absolutely a fine establishment. (:

The staff was extremely rude when they weren’t tipped for a pick up order. I have never seen such rude and unprofessional employees. Even the manager was rude. Never use this establishment.
