WILLIAM was working when we went in last night and seemed to be working alone. He was able to answer our questions, ring us up, answer the phone, give directions, all while having a WONDERFUL personality and great customer service skills. He deserves a raise or some kind of special treatment. Employees like that do NOT come around very often.-Thank you William, for your great personality and comedic timing! We live in Durham and decided last night after meeting you,, we will be going to this dollar general from here on out. :)

Very pleasent and kind workers. Especially those behind the register. Always greet you and apologize if there is line(which is out of there control) its that reason I stop there almost daily. I much rather go there instead if Walmart any day. Thanks for always being kind. especially when you know its free ❤️

I stop by Dollar General to get a few items. The store isnt that old but the store looks 20 years old. The shelf are a total size wreck and you cant find nothing. The clerks dont know anything and they are very rude. At first they look nice and speaks to you with respect but in 5 to 10 minutes they change. Today I hear them laugh and joke about people who are barely getting by in this hard times. Then I learn the register doesnt add the coupons you have to get the manager to add them. And he doesnt know anything about the coupon

Love this store. Lay out is nice. Komda tight but has nice variety and honestly the clothes are pretty cute and reasonable and hold up well. A one stop shop for me.

This is a great Dollar General that is little bit more expansive than most of them. for whatever reason Ive always found more stuff that I want at this location. Theyre setup is also nice allowing a patron to easily navigate the isles. The staff is friendly and helpful. They tend to have incredible deals, like most Dollar generals, on basic holiday items for every season which I use them for frequently.I generally have different concepts in my head about what five stars mean depending on the service. Dollar General is only easily compared to Dollar Tree and Family Dollar. that being the place this place gets 5 stars, because its the best of this lot in Durham.

Needed firewood and they had it but cashier went to the backroom to get and come back and said sorry I cant get to it so we left empty handed cause of they have stuff stocked,stored etc Thanks alot Dollar general

Good store, usually stocked well and staff is great.

When your in a pinch and need something quickly in and out this is the store. You can usually find a little bit of everything and a lot you may not expect. Some prices are great, some may be a little bit higher than what you normally would pay. But most of the time its saving a trip way across or into town so convenience means a lot.

Handy nearby dollar store with lots of essentials, but always a long line, no matter the time of day. Also the back aisles are ALWAYS full of junk through the isles, you cant even walk down them with a shopping cart.

Our family has loved this store since it opened . Rick and the majority of the people are super hometown friendly but when you get overcharged by $19.60 and the acting manager Candice refuses to see her mistake and treats the customer with blatant disrespect I am wondering just who is making the decisions to promote this person to asst. manager position - someone that has zero customer service skills should not be in the position this Candice person holds . Our Timberlake store has always been about customer service and this experience with this young lady who needs to learn some customer service skills has really put a sour taste in mymouth for the direction I hope our store is not heading toward.

Im retired and on a fixed income. I shop at Dollar General to get great deals on everything from groceries to paper towels. DG helps me stretch my retirement income a lot farther than I thought possible. Highly recommended!

The Bake Shop is the best place we have visited in quite some time. We live in Roxboro and is well worth the drive just to eat there. Love it.

Good store has most of what I need. Although it could be more organized, like they constantly have stock floats in the aisles that make it hard for customers to walk the aisles. The store manager is a great and nice guy and hes very helpful.

If i could buy gasoline and raw chicken here, Id never shop anywhere else. I just wish the aisles werent so cluttered.

They keep half of the warehouse in the middle of the aisles. You would think with it being such a high volume store, they would keep the aisles easy to walk down. Manager must not have any common sense. The shelves are a disaster too, if they arent empty, then they are full of random items thrown in a pile. From what it looks like, they straighten and stock only the front few isles that you can see from the door, and once you get to the back isles, (toys, pet supplies, housewares) it turns into a huge mess.

Son forgot his shoes and after a 45 minute drive to Timberlake to eat at the Homestead we stopped here to get singe flip flops. Our cashier was extremely friendly. The other lady (white) was on her phone talking to someone while cashing out customers. No personality at all

Okay heres the lowdown are Dollar general this was a godsend to everybody here in Timberlake when it was built. More people shop here then go to Walmart. Because it actually has more in stock then our Walmart does in Roxboro. so we call this our little Walmart because is actually friendlier and more things in stock and the people who work there they know everybody in town and be actually like those who work there they know everybody its just our little to go to before in between shopping so its not nice sometimes its a little cluttered or messed up but you understand that due to the fact that it may be through a rush or what not but other than that its a great little store when you just have to rush in and get something in between your shopping trips

Wish they would make up their minds on how to set the store up. If you need ice dont get in a hurry even if you did in line and its your turn for checking out. They will make you wait and check everyone else behind you out then get your ice

This Dollar General is right off 501 and is on the outskirts of Roxboro about five minutes before getting into the actual town. It is easy to spot and sits on the left as you enter Roxboro. Its nice to go to if you need to run in and grab something quick. Its nice especially because the persin will not have to drive all the way to the nearest grocery store.

Sure saves me money on gas plus prices of merchandise good.
