Well I was in there the other day, and seeing a beautiful artificial plant arrangement, little disappointed about the price, it was absolutely filthy with dust, I should have called the manager and ask for a discount, it cost me $15 dollars, but I didnt feel like bargaining down. It took me an hour to clean, after cleaning it looks beautiful, and perfect for the spot I wanted to put it in. But Value Village is starting to price gouge secondhand items, I can remember back when this particular arrangement would have cost me maybe $7 dollars. Lets just hope theres no bugs or roaches inside.

Over the years I have donated bags and bags to this place.. I shopped here weakly when we lived on Oregon, but havent been for the past 2 years. I drove 45 mins to visit tonight and it was a waste of time! Even higher prices than Goodwill! Its incredible that they get everything free, leave it dirty, broken, and in disrepair, then mark it higher than retail. Their employees do not have power to price anything after 4pm, so if a tag is missing you are just out of luck. Weak baskets priced for $9. Old mismatched dishes for $2-6 dollars. I will not come here again for a long time.

Since the famous place that starts with a G has gotten airs on what is acceptable to donate THESE guys got my old Lazy Boy power lift recliner, a fairly hot ticket item that Gs appraisers could see no value in. When you have an online portal to sell the upmarket items donated to your organization it says something. Too much administration and people dressed in smart office clothes NOT working for their bread. Not the case with Value Village so they get my donations from here on out.

I stopped here after my DMV appointment just to look around and was pleasantly surprised. I thought the pricing of items was reasonable (~$4-5 for a shirt compared to Goodwill which often is $7 for a shirt) and the store was pretty well organized. Staff was friendly too. Ill be stopping by again when Im in the area!

Prices can be high, but sometimes you find really neat and fairly priced items. Definitely worth checking out. You get a 20% off coupon for donating. Staff is usually friendlier than Goodwill, except one gal who accused me of stuffing things in my bag as I was organizing my cart. Calm down lady. She was very rude and presumptuous!

Great place to find just about anything. Saw a few things I needed and the more I looked... yup, the more I found. Great friendly and helpful staff. Some prices are fair to cheap, other prices are somewhat high (see pics). Big selection on Halloween items. Big location with plenty for the whole family. Highly recommended this place.

Crowded and they think they are an antique store now prices are way too high. $17 for a lightweight hoodie, $18 for a 1980s sport coat and $150 for an old Schwinn bike that was rusted to the core. Thrift stores are supposed to be inexpensive to help people that dont have a lot of money, and they get everything for free

I was pleasantly surprised to find all of the items on my list in one stop. A true rarity when thrifting. The prices were very reasonable and a large percentage of the items were 50% off based on tag color. You can find a lot of items in great condition. I bought two pairs of shoes that dont appear to have ever been worn. Fairly well organized - I have havent delved into the clothes yet, but it looks like they could be better organized. The staff were friendly, helping me with a bulky item and noticing that my cart was one with a pole. They brought me a cart without a pole - one that I could take out to my car. Ill definitely go back.

I love Value Village! The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is clean. They’ve organized the aisles for ease of use. They have lovely professional clothing here, the cost is minimal. A $400 business suit is $17.50 At value Village. I’ve also found couture items here, in great shape and freshly dry cleaned. It’s not unusual to find Mikasa crystal, and beautiful dinner ware. They also appreciate your donations, and will give you a 20% off coupon for your next purchase in return for your donations. Your donations are tax deductible, and go to support an excellent cause.

This Value Village is my favorite thrift shop. The prices are, overall, quite fair. Sometimes theyre a bit overpriced but compared to other thrift shops in the area, the prices here are good. The furniture section is especially well-priced. Dishes are a bit spendy for some reason. Clothes are organized by size and generally speaking in good condition. It isnt a curated boutique but they arent selling trash either. In addition the store is organized, clean, and well-run. Inventory is constantly being added to and the staff is friendly and cheerful.

I love the selection and organization at this shop, but I hate that their fitting rooms are closed right now due to covid and they dont offer any sort of store credit for returns. It is very inconvenient to shop the same time as returning within two weeks of your purchase date. And apparently two weeks is an extension from the usual? I seriously dont understand how they can get away with only same day exchanges.

I like this thrift store better than Goodwill as it tends to offer more reasonable prices on majority of their items and they always seem to have a lot more available of their weekly half off tags. The store is generally very kempt even when they are busy, which, with Covid theyve adjusted their hours so be prepared to get in and out before they close at 7 pm. Something else to appreciate is all of the space their checkout line allows for shoppers to appropriately social distance as opposed to most other retailers where theres so little space that getting the recommended space between one another is nearly impossible. I appreciate the wide variety of items and the volume that which they carry. It makes for always coming home with at least one but more often quite a few items I leave thrilled about. Their checkout line seems to move fairly quickly without much of a wait even when busy and if ever you need to ask an employee a question Ive yet to meet an employee who didnt try to be helpful and pleasantly so. Overall always an enjoyable activity and will shop again.

A lot of the stuff is overpriced for used stuff. You can get new for what they want for some stuff. Depends on what you are looking for, what day you go (apparently there is a discount on Tues for Seniors) and if you pay attention to the tag color discount. The furniture was the best deal. Other stuff...? Not so much. Hit or miss, kinda. The store is well lit and open so it has that going for it.

Love, love, love a good bargain! Thats why I shop in stores like VV and GW. This is the first time Ive been in this store but I visit the one in Olympia quite often. Mostly on Old Lady Tuesdays. Senior citizens day...30% discount!Anyway, the store is quite large with stocked shelves and racks. Some of the items are priced fairly but the majority are ridiculously expensive. 2.50 for a plain coffee cup. What??? Plates and saucers are rubber banded together with price tags on most of them not clear of exactly what youll get for the ridiculous price. I could go on but, you get the jest. No real bargains there...I wont be back

I just dont understand places that get donated clothing and price it so high that they only time you would buy it is when the store has a 50% off sale. Just sell the product at the 50% sale price. They would have MORE higher sales profit everyday. Its called thrifting stores for a reason. I did find some fair priced sweaters, and shirts that were new/semi that were only $7.99.

Review №65

Its hit and miss at this large thrift store with fairly good turnover. Ive had days when Ive walked out with valuable original artwork, beautiful antique crystal, and mid-century California pottery and other days when I havent been able to find a single thing. In the last couple of months, its been much more crowded and, it appears, there are more savvy buyers, because the treasures to be found are fewer and far between. This is where I go for finds at a cheapish price. Its becoming more difficult to find unicorns, those $2 treasures worth the world to the finder, but thats the case almost everywhere. Thrift stores are more focused on pulling the best stuff and selling it online for higher prices; that wont change. When I have the time, I find much more interesting stuff at estate sales, but the prices are higher and the lines are a huge deterrent.

You will always find cool stuff at this store, however lately the store has been removing items from the floor and putting them at the jewelry counter for five times the original price, as well as pricing any collectable right at, or slightly over what its going for on ebay. This is a shame, and items with are goodwill tag for 3.99 and a value village tag for 12.99 are becoming more and more commonplace. I assume this has to do with the current management at the store. I used to spend hundreds a week here and now Im having to spend an hour in there to spend $10. Hopefully it eventually goes back to the place I fell in love with.
