It works. They have pretty good deals on running shoes And I usually find some that I can use. I honestly dont shop the rest of the store. They have employees there. The store is usually pretty dead when I go in there, but it is a convenient location.

Online: it gets delivered, you try it, if it does not fit - you send it back. Going to the store can be more efficient: you can bring several sizes to a fitting room and try. Not here. They have fitting rooms locked because of covid. Few hundred yards away there is Fred Meyer, and they must have different type of covid, which does not haunt fitting rooms. Unfortunately sportswear selection at Big 5 sporting goods is better.

Called and talked to a sales representative named, Chris. Very polite and knowledgeable. Ask if they had a certain item and he was very helpful in researching the product. After verifying they did in fact have the item, Chris told me that he would have it waiting for me when I showed up.When I arrived, a sales associate greeted me and I told him that Id just spoken with Chris on the phone. He said; Oh, you just called about the gun. And I replied; Yes. He then reaches over to a box and says; We have it right here. Such and such model pellet rifle. I quickly said; No, thats not the gun Im here for, Im here for the percussion massage gun. He then says; Oh, you must be Kevin, yes, we have that right here. You sure wouldnt want to use that other one on your back. We had a good chuckle and I was on my way.Good salesmanship and a pleasant sense of humor from store associates make shopping at this Big 5 Sporting Goods a 5-Star experience, thank you.

I went in there this morning and they had 3 employees standing there just talking to each other. I had to wave my hands to get help and finally one of the girls came over. However, I dont believe she had any idea about the shoes or what they were for. I told her I need walking shoe with good support and she just randomly started picking out shoes. She finally picked out two, sat them on the bench and went back to talking to the other employees. I had a walker and have difficulty walking and that was the only help I got. No one checked on me or would help me any farther.I will not go back or recommend them to anyone. Very disappointed because I have always had good help there, but not today.

Horrible customer service and he is supposed toBe an assistant manager. Mike was of no help. I had questions and he totally disappeared. The cashier took full charge and answered my questions and helped me find what I needed. I am only giving 5 stars for Angelina. Mike needs to be demoted or fired and doesn’t deserve a star.

I havent spent much time deep in Tigard in about 3 years and I ended up going to big 5 on a windy day shopping for some outdoor gear. the store was not over stocked with products, it was kept neat and I was able to find all the things I was looking for. They even spent a little extra time to answer a couple off-topic questions about Tigard I had! Thanks for making it easy to find things!

Found exactly what I was looking for and the prices were reasonable. The only complaint is with the staff. They seemed to be having a great conversation while I was waiting for help. Need to work on that.

Have received great help in this store for many purchases. They have a great selection of sporting goods and also camping items. Their prices are really fine, and sale prices are fantastic. Big 5 has really took a dump on customer service over the years . Walk in and all we get are stares from two women at front desk. Walk around looking for scooters and skateboards and finally a gentleman at the gun desk helped us (thank you). found what we are looking for ,checked out and yet still not a word from the woman at register . Geez ,I shouldve ran away at this point and finally she says have a good day. Wow. Come on now ,to say the least I will never visit this location ever again .boo you guys boo!

This used to be my place. Okay, actually the one in Gresham was my Jam. But this is a cute little version of the other stores. Staff is super nice even when your friend is looking for bright pink camoflauge to go with his matching hat and shirt.

False advertising. Has something price small up to large size at set prices. When I got the item it ran rang up twice the price. I ask the employee and he said it’s the right size but it’s has special features and cost more. Nowhere does it say it cost more for a different style. I ask if they would honor that price listed since it’s not advertised. The employees gave me some bs excuse that it’s not Possible. The employee then ask the manager on charge that seemed to busy talking to his friend then helping.

Nice local sporting store.. Lot of camping/hiking/rafting needs. Good customer service.. And no questions asked when you gotta return items that some times dont work out

I like this place alot. They have a good selection of things and some items you might not expect. I picked up bungees and rope. They also have a lot of shoes like sneakers and hiking boots. Definitely worth checking out.

Great place to get any sort of sporting goods(obviously as said in the name) The employees are friendly (except for one instance of an a** wipe) and help you with, usually, anything you need. If they dont have whatever youre looking for they will check nearby Big 5s. If another Big 5 has what you need then they will reserve it for you. Its be nice to have some more staff though.

Have been here 2 days in a row, on both occasions they showed little to no customer service except to regulars. Rushed me out the store as well seems like this big 5 need some training.

Reasonable pricing and good customer service.

Every time I come here to browse their selection, multiple employees chase me all over the store asking if I need help. Not sure if its because Im a femme or what...Finally the last time I came in, I wore my headphones so they would know to leave me alone after the first declined ask...But no, I still had the same experience as my previous visits. Im an athlete and I like to look around shops to see what they have! Please just take my, Im just browsing at that! The store it self seems cool, I just wish I could have the chance to actually see what they have....

As with all big 5 stores we have visited, this was no exception. Great friendly, attentive, helpful staff. Prices are always good. Large inventory. Had a part missing from chair,,. Which they immediately took care of.

We were looking for basketball shoes for 2 of our boys. Big 5 had a fairly decent selection until we looked for the exact size we needed. Although they were missing a few options for us we still walked away with 2 pairs of name brand baskrtball shoes and 12 pairs of socks for $100. Thank you Big 5!

This visit was quick and easy. Ask the employee for an item I was looking for and he knew right where to find it. Gave some info that he knew of the item and was able to check out in a timely manner. Frendly staff and helpful too.

A very good selection of sporting goods. I can always find good deals on shoes and get a great sale price. Not always people working that know about the particular sport you may be shopping for, but thats the same at most big box retailers.

This is one of the last true sporting goods stores. Cheaper than REIs and Dicks but more expensive than Walmart or Target as the product is better quality. The merchandise is not always the same but is relevant to the season and not 3 months before the season but when you would use the items.

Great place for things that you are looking for.

I went in yesterday looking for a firearm that was on sale. From the moment i walked in i was being helped and getting good information about the products in the firearms section. They went out of their way to call other stores that had the item in stock and even though i ended up making a purchase at another store i felt i owed them a good review on their service. So whoever was closing on saturday may 13th they deserve praise and i thank them for their good work and knowledge.

Good place to find decent shoes of all types (tennis, hiking books, soccer, etc) and a nice general mix of sporting goods and clothing. However, it is usually understaffed by at least 1-2 people. After trying on a couple shoe pairs today that didnt fit right, had to wait over 10 minutes for the shoe guy who mysteriously disappeared. The counter guy saw me wander toward him and told me he would help me as soon as he was done at the counter. He busted it and got me two more pairs to try quickly after arriving. Upon checking out, shoe guy magically appeared again. I wouldnt mind too badly except that this has also happened in the past.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the products sold here are very well made.

The employee who answered the phone helped me with all my questions and needs, I was looking for a new bike rack lock.

I was pleased they were open after the snowstorm we had recently. Both Dicks and REI were closed early, and I NEEDED a camping sleeping mat that night. That parts a long story, but the short of it is, Big 5 was open when I needed them to be.

They allowed 2 boxes of 9mm sold.

Staff was completely indifferent and unhelpful. Once I managed to flag an employee down, he was completely unable to help me. At the very least, he was relatively nice. Still a horrible experience and I have no intention of going back
